Disappointed in how everyone is campaigning against genAI for visual arts, but then don't have integrity to do same for written arts, especially someone like Sam who was so hurt with genAI to promote ChatGPT trained by same unethical standards.
I'm afraid this will hurt our anti-AI community validity way more than a lot of shit, just because people hate lack of integrity/hypocrisy more than anything else. And to be precise, I don't find what he's doing particularly outraging. Just badly timed out. But people exaggerate such things, as they usually do.

@@futured8060 Yeah... It didn't put all that code by itself either, it's made the same way as image gen AI, except they plundered text and code (much of it copyrighted) on the Internet rather than pictures.

Man, Valerian looks awesome! When I read ChatGPT's description, the only thing that came to my mind was this tiktok hotboy beauty standard wattpad character. Sam's drawing is leagues more interesting.
I feel like they live in a fantasy world centered around soul magic, youre either born with it or you have to kill other beings to obtain it. Valerian started hunting down magic beings to obtain the power to control nature but the abilities became corrupted because of the way he obtained them. Seraphina was gifted her magic from the forest in the form of her staff so she could defeat Valerian and bring peace back to the world.
I understand why you did this, especially considering the disgusting manner which AI grifters have targeted your art and person, but please do not give OpenAI any free publicity. They're an org which has exploited workers to develop their product, stolen as much (or more) copyrighted art and works as anyone else, use a ton of resources every day to grift (360,000 gallons of water a day to cool a data center) and more. It is an extremely dangerous tech that shouldn't be promoted. Please consider this in the future for promotion of AI. I do not hate on you, just the tech and the companies.
Look, it sucks when au steals art, it sucks when it's used to steal period. But I think people need to consider the good that detailed ai can do. It could be used to farm, care for te elderly, ect and also anti virus defence and online safety it just depends on who's useing it and why. It's a tool just like any other, it's not to blame for how it is used.

Its not just stealing art, it's taking people's jobs and making artists irrelevant. And ai art is not even its own, its an amalgamation of everything it stole without permission. Game idea: were you challenge chatGpt/Dalle 2 to an art challenge where somebody or you come up with an character or really just a drawing idea and the ai draw while you draw as well and somebody will judge which drawing is better. No. There are writers, copy writers, etc who already lost their job to ChatGPT. It's the same with AI art. So I think it's a really bad idea for you to use ChatGPT and even promote it on your channel. It contradicts with your statement on AI art.
Really? I see a lot of writers using AI art for their stories, musicians are absolutely spamming RU-vid with their music that has AI generated cover images for basically a year now, turning my feed into abhorrent trash. Sam and pretty much all artists fought back initially, while these writers and musicians happily used "AI" that was trained on the artwork of visual artists in order to advertise their product and to leech off of artists. Their heads will be on the chopping block and they will deserve it. Musicians deserve it the most, and this is coming from someone who enjoys music the most as a form of art. Good riddance I say, it seems that visual artists were the only ones that cared about the other art mediums and not just their own, but they were greeted by parasitic behavior and lack of care from writers and musicians. Maybe it's because visual art just hits differently, I don't know. In any case, good riddance. No hypocrisy here, just vengeance.

Eh, the prompts were so generic, I'm probably not going to use ChatGPT for this, lol. I guess a person could ask specifically for a 'unique' character... I wonder how that would go! Regardless, these designs are gorgeous! I love the tattoos on Sera, I feel like you don't see tattoos on elves that much. And Valerian is pretty badass. When you just had the sketch, I didn't realize you were including a beard, so I thought he was just gonna have a really long chin, lol.
ChatGPT is the same as stablediffusion, OpenAI and all, using stolen and private database for its functions. Please refrain from using it as you were advocating against AIs less than a year ago. Please instead spread some awareness because this is not okay. I love you as an artist but i feel this is unacceptable.
Lol Sam I'll be 25 in August, I feel the same way sometimes. the pain and we are in the best years :0 BUT saying that, even with the back pain and numb hands and cramps from overworking them I love drawing and making art, so I guess its worth the pain?! :D Hopefully we get used to the aches and stop feeling it hahaha
Sam, I love your videos and also support you against the AI thing, but you are using something that is making damage to writters too. I know you are comprehensiv but it's important to be aware that if you support any of those companies you can't protect anything you made. If there is no cooperation inbetween several art careers and departments this will no go to anywhere.

I am not accusing you of anything, you can do whatever you want (until regulations will be introduced), I am just noticing and highlighting the contradiction. If you have a specific reason for rejecting AI when it's about your craft and accepting it when it's about others' craft, I guess it would be nice if you explained why exactly, otherwise it just looks like you think that AI is bad when it's about you but it's good when it's about others, therefore legitimising anybody to use AI as long as it's not about themselves (eg. people who have never had interest in drawing using AI about artists). You are quite a big reference for the fight for artists rights against AI-image generators, and seeing that your values are not consistent with all the AI-craft generators might make your (and all the artists') points weaker. Again, I am not accusing you of anything, I only want to make you aware of the implications. I am not aware if maybe you already thought about this, or if you wanted to make an intentionally outraging video for satyre, or if you have other reasons to do so that are not so evident (and because they are not evident, the most direct assumption is the inconstistent judgemnt about AI-craft generators with the problems I already mentioned). Additionally, the more you use Chat GPT, the more it gets better. You are asking (and encouraging to ask, so this is not limited only to your actions but to the actions echoed by your audience) for descriptions of characters for visual arts. I have seen videos of AI bros explaining how to use ChatGPT to generate immediately a big amount of detailed descriptions for images, that they can copy and paste into the AI-image generators, so that they can obtain endless images of endless subjects in a few minutes, not even typing the prompt themselves, and posting them everywhere overflooding the formerly human art spaces and having more stuff to sell to make quick easy money. Both sides of the traditional commissioner-artist collaboration are automatised. If you feel legitimised letting the AI make the first half of this process, you can't get angry if prompters feel legitimisted letting the AI do the second half of this process, with both AI tasks working the same way. Again, I am not accusing you, I am just noting the contradiction, and the possible weakspots in the fight for artists rights against AI .

I have a character, who was taken from his family, by the goverment to be turn into a military weapon and was turned into a robot along with 11 others as an experiment, but their souls wanted revenge so they killed the people who held them captive, and what happen to them gave them the idea that all of humanity was evil so they wanted to end the human race so they got more human and turn them into robot to complete their mission. The main one, his name is Valerian, but was changed to Chaos because he was chaotic. I was inspired to make this character by FNAF and the world ending by robots so 🫤

And, interesting enough, while his girls still suffer from a bit of same-face-syndrome (I know he's aware of that issue and actively addressing it and indeed has made notable progress in this regard), his male characters are all completely unique. Like, not just unique in the Sam-verse, but in a "never seen before" kind of way.

Unfortunately some people only care or understand why it's bad when they are affected. Afaik Sam isn't an author or editor. So he doesn't fear the text ai. I'm hoping he'll learn though otherwise I'm really disappointed:/

While search engines index and retrieve information from the internet, ChatGPT, as an AI language model, generates responses based on the patterns and knowledge it has been trained on. It doesn't directly access or extract specific content from the internet in real-time
