Poker needs more people taking on challenges like this, so props to you for going for it! Now that said, there are some logistical challenges involved with an undertaking of this size that people should know about. For starters, there aren’t that many publicly available live games in the US that play at $50/100 or more & the ones that do pop up aren’t necessarily guaranteed to be running for long periods of time. Assuming that $50/100 is the average stakes during this challenge & with 8 hours of gameplay/day throughout the 90 days (a big hurdle based on how long live nosebleeds run), the hourly needed would be $1,388.88/hour. ($1 mill / (90 days x 8 hours/day) That hourly would shake out to 13.88 big blinds/hour, which is on the high end, but certainly possible given a skilled player & some run good over that stretch. The key to the challenge will likely lie in how many hours of $100/200+ you can log, as the hours you put in there will allow you to make up for hours that you’re forced to play $20/40 or $25/50 type games, due to lack of availability for the $50/100 type games. (All of this assumes that the 13.88 big blind/hour remains largely consistent across the stakes.) Again, major props for undertaking a challenge like this!
Good fold. Without knowing much about villain, it’s very difficult for her to have any bluffs in her range there & doubt she’s shoving worse than our hand for value, A5 arguably being the bottom of her value range, which she may not even jam A5 there
I think there’s a lot of money to be made but even Garrett playing with a 300k stack would struggle making a million with variance.. and ginge is playing with 5k on the table lol

i was thinking A5 was the only worse value hand that shoves in the 34 straight hand depending on the player, i find the fold here but im probably on the nittier side compared to regs
Literally nothing - I was gonna use it as a camera but it's too big. It's useful to go through my gdrive better. But originally I got it to play on some app games.
Finally, can't wait to see this series, it's a crazy ass idea in my world but what a bloody dream to do this for a job! I watched every Insta story and your acronyms blew my non- serious poker playing brain but it was so cool to watch, knowing your Mom and Dad and then seeing them appear and mom crushing it was the cherry on top.
I love this style of vlogging. It's on more of a personal level which makes me feel like you're a friend telling me about hands you played. Looking forward to seeing more vids. Good luck!
the hand where you have 34s and rive str8 - for me its a call and i know you dont beat anything besides split pot or a bluff. it is scary but i think its a call with what info you have availible
Yeh I think we've gota oB the 43s. The way equities work otr, we don't really want to face a raise w/ the straight, maybe we can go for medium more when we block more trips but yeh think just oB the straight ourselves then mix in medium sizes w/ boats, 5x and then at least w/ trips we have good removal effect to their potential jam. Tough spot live when she does ram.
I gave you a chance and watched the whole vlog. I'm just a donkey American player. Love the hand breakdowns. The last hand seems like a very good fold.. she's not bluffing. New sub. Good luck and welcome to the US. We aren't all dicks
34 was a disciplined fold. From what you said, it's unlikely she was repping with a bluff, and most of the time, her likely flop and turn hands easily beat you. The only other possibilities for a semi bluff jam are A5 or 45.
@@GingePoker watched it again.. you're right. I've got a shit memory for hand history. Just saw the old Thai vidoe of you in court. I had a very similar situation in Thailand a few years ago.. but it didn't get past the first step. I always wondered what would happen if I cooperated with the police.. I guess I know how! Glad it worked out ok for you.
New subscriber here. Question - this video from a week ago says you are taking on the US (90 day challenge etc.) but you’ve been playing at The Lodge for a while now?? What’s the situation please?
17:17 The 34s hand pretty annoying. Obviously this is not a spot where I’d expect most people to ever find bluffs, but from the brief description of her sounds like she’s at least capable. The real painful thing here is the flop only allowing for 1 combo of 56s. So we lose to like 5 combos if she doesn’t find flop checks with KK and 22 likely isn't peeling turn. I think there’s also something to be said for the fact that you’re sort of capped at 43s and 5x in that you likely don't play any boats this way. You’re probably checking turn or river at a high frequency with 56s/66/55 some 5x and not sure you even defend K5s. So I guess if you were to structure what hands best to call having a 5 would be better than 34s in that we'd block her value more. Probably a good fold since everyone's always under bluffing, but not sure I’d of made it in game.
Love these blogs Ginge, would love to ask (I'm a profitable player) how long was your journey from being a more novice into the crusher you are now and what helped you effectively get there?
Is the lady the type who would reraise 56 preflop with ranges behind her? Think you're only losing if she has KK or 66. You said that you don't think she is bluffing, but if she were, I think she could have been bluffing with a good AX of clubs. I think you should be confident with your read since you played at the table and you're very experienced. Another line you could take is to bet small on river (like $1900-$2100) to induce bluff with missed clubs which you can call, if she has a 5 she could value raise which you can easily call, if she has K she can easily call that, and less likely villain can bluff all in given chip stacks (which is an easier fold if she does make that move). Of course, you lose value if you think villain can call more with K. The part that sucks the most is if she is value jamming with A5, which is reasonable based on her preflop play. Though less likely since the 5 and the K are clubs, which I think A5c would take a more passive call on turn, and other suited A5 is more likely to raise turn.
CI haven’t watched your videos except that70k pot at the lodge. My question to you is: What’s your bankroll at? What did you start with when playing online poker, and How much of your bankroll did you earn from playing Online Poker? Was it all from that? And over how many years? What stakes did you primarily play to earn your roll? Thanks ginge
Good luck just got back from Thailand for 2 years cause of pandemic never been out of USA glad to be back good luck a million I'd be happy with 10 dimes
I think in the 3-4Spade hand she jammed 18kk, she either had the same hand OR she had you pegged for QQ or AK and its an easy fold for those hands. she bluffed you Bro
Wow, I thought for sure when you said you made a big fold that you rivered a 7 and not a deuce. I've played online for a living for 15 years but am a pretty bad live player so take it with a grain of salt. With that said, I think there needs to be some "randomness" thrown into just about anyone you play with in a live game. Even with regs online at 5-10 and below, most players have a percentage or two of randomness/tilt, etc. Live I think this drastically increases. Constantly you will see tighter older rec players just get absolutely tired of folding and play something completely funky, and there are plenty of other cases of random nittiness or aggression. I think some examples of randomness that could happen on this board are the lady raising AK and AA for value not realizing it accomplishes almost nothing but value owning themselves, or a tiny chance she was frustrated and jammed a NFD. I think combined with she just lost a cooler to you makes this a call for me. At the same time, I really have no live instincts but I believe strongly good live regs possess them and if you really felt she is strong I don't think you can fault a fold. Salud! and good luck on your journey I look forward to it.
Best of luck to you sir with your 90 day one million dollar winning goal. You might want to offer heads up challenges to guys like Jungle man, Matt B. or Doug P. etc. If the Hustler Casino won't allow you to play in their live streams try playing at Live At the Bike, LATB. They seem to be hurting for a good lineup of players. Playing in Texas might also be an option for you. Best of luck!!!
I would have called the lady feels like AK or AA with the preflop raise then smooth call the turn bet. I just think that's more likely than 56 suited, 66s and KKs. 22s are pretty unlikely.
Lady player probably had 5 full of Kings or pocket Kings on that last hand when you riverd a straight. If she had A5 she would have just called. I don't think she would have attempted a steal there with her stack size.
I thought this was 90 days condensed to 20min video. I would much rather watch less higer quality videos then daily vlogs and that's better for the channel imo. Good example of this is Stve Bridges card counting video series, maybe watch that for some inspiration. Good luck on your journey!
Thanks this was my first attempt at this style of content - definitely a lot more to improve and figure out. Thanks for the feedback it's much appreciated!
I like the idea of this challenge. However, it's a grind watching you explain hands post game in this particular format. Sitting in your hotel with graphics for visuals is a lil dull. Personally, I prefer recording session at table is a more immersive experience for the viewer - like most poker vloggers. That being said, nice video
The problem with a rivered straight on a paired board is, that an unexperienced player thinks he/she is shoving for value with 5x on 5-5-6-K-2 against a big river bet. Just my 2 cents
Can u dm me about how you move large sum of money around, exchange that sort of thing, without getting hit with fees or restrictions? Banks used? Btc? Everything I tried has either been scrutinized by the casino or fees with transfers. Thanks in advance!
You should either cut these down episode wise to like 10 mins or buy a camera or something, not saying copy Brad Owen but this is very dry content and hard to be invested for so long. It's good analysis but when there is so much out there in terms of entertaining poker content, this leaves a lot to be desired. (The format also leaves me wanting to say Cool Story, Bro a lot) Having said that, keep it up :)
Cool story bro... He's got a point Ginge, I'm here for the story as it's intriguing but I love the short and snappy. I only piss about doing my own RU-vid videos and I know how much of a ball ache it is (I edit in Final Cut and iMovie ☠️) but I watch a lot and the ones edited to short and snappy short format keep my attention.
@@GingePoker super pro?? Wtf they had the main event winner just playing yesterday.. besides that there is a lot of pros playing, that are real good players, like Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey and Phil Helmuth(questionable Supercross with 17 bracelets) What's the issue with HCL. They are some weird idiots running it.
@@GingePoker if I could've, this is Hollywood bro, if you had like 100-300k subs you would have been top top on ryans list [co owner/producer/running shit]
great fold. i agree too few bluffs. maybe also k5s. Women are less likely to lie imo when they say you are a very good player. you are obv also husband material.
Here’s the play to $1,000,000. Start w $2k. Simply double your stack every day. Easy right? 😬. 9 bets or play poker 9 days as corresponding limits…boom. 9 days of doubles to a milly!
@@GingePoker well…my 1st 2k is smoked. On to the next :D. Best wishes on your journey man! (And right…doesn’t the 9 double seem very attainable?? Bet a couple 3 team Womens basketball ML parlays where there’s such a discrepancy of skill and favs always win. May not cover but…ML is all that’s needed!).
@@GingePoker i dunno, may be, actually surely your highstakes games must be different from Nl 500 in a German casino, it’s full of massive lagtards, against some guys it would be a huge leak to even fold a middle pair, they literally barrel it off in every hand they are in
Good luck! sounds like interesting content. I thought you dealt with DNegs really well at that party. He was so obnoxious that I would have told him to get fuc#ed.
@@Billy_B lol I’m a black guy and I no what your talking about when you say ginger rage one of my best friends is exactly like that Negs would have got eaten alive 🤣
