Another day, another round of golf in New Orleans. This one at the Audubon Park directly in downtown New Orleans, very near Tulane University 🎠.
I stayed in New Orleans for a few weeks and ended up playing three rounds of golf around the city. I had a great time and even completed one round without losing a ball.
In this round I shot a 16 over, 78. Really one of my best rounds ever, even considering that the course is a par 62 ⛳️.
I made back to back birdies 🐣 on holes 8 and 9, a par 3 and 5 🏌🏼. I had not done that yet in retirement, and it had been a few years since I had done that at all.
The course was my favorite that I played in New Orleans, and definitely superior to the one at Bayou Oaks. The round was cheaper $25 for the round and another $20 for the rental clubs. The course is really pretty as it sits right in a beautiful residential part of New Orleans.
There is a three mile track around the exterior of the golf course and multiple other walking paths where locals are walking their dogs. The houses lining the east side of the course are enormous, stately, and beautiful.
This really is a terrific round of golf any way you slice it. Unfortunately I lost one ball during this round, making my final score even more impressive. I did love this course though.
