How you reacted upon finally one-shotting Manus was pretty much how I reacted upon finally defeating him at all. Action games are not my forte. I grew up on a diet of JRPGs. The fact that I'd finally got in enough perfect dodges and timely strikes to take down easily the toughest boss in Dark Souls felt like a gargantuan achievement for me. This is something else. Well done.

Mad respect and huge congrats. You achieved your goal, but most importantly you didn't give up. I'm pretty sure this video will be great inspiration for both players and content creators, and for people who have very hard goal to achieve and are/were very close to abandon it.

i remember watching a video where someone also equipped something that made his character reconver 1% health per second, enabling him to keep "power within" going much longer.

Guess you coulda agro'd Priscilla with weak attacks, returned to the bonfire then walked to her fog gate again to oneshot her while she is agro'd 🤔

No matter where you end up in the competition, this was really great and impressively done!

Loved the banjo Kazooie sound effects. Snow world form the game for the Manus win was epic.

I would say the four kings have different health bars because when you lock on you can see a health bar so while they share one at the bottom of the screen you did it still

I like the idea of assigning point values to actions (basic boss kills +1, big boy bosses +2, levels -1, upgrading a weapon -1 etc) and competing for points in a run 🤔

a hot tip for the pyro glove and power within. upgrading the glove doesnt increase the buff but it does increase the damage you take from it, so if you are able to get a second glove, its worth it to keep one level 1 to use power within and another max to use other pyromancies!

Great run and props to your patience with manus! You didnt get the point for one shotting dusk after the manus fight. She only spawns once there and if you die after the fight she despawns.

A oneshot run is honestly one of the best experiences to do IMO. I once did it on NG+ after trying to platinum remaster. Instead of killing the bosses naturally, I decided to see if a one shot run is doable. and Man, discovering the Dark Bead trick just cut probably 5 hours of NG+ down to just 2. The only thing that made it somewhat non-legit was that I had to do the Soul dupe to get my Int to 99 since my NG character was a Quality build, and I ended NG with only 9 INT.

First time I’ve seen that way to dodge the barrel and kill the knight damn

Hey, I'm the RU-vid resident challenge run nitpicker. So long as the the rules are made clear at the start and any loopholes either covered, or declared part of the rules, it's all kosher in my book. nothing grind my gears more than people suddenly, halfway through the run being all "akshually, since I worded the rules in this particular way, there is a loophole that let's me beat this boss I wouldn't be able to otherwise" JUST DECLARE IT FROM THE START! anyway, looks I'll check out more of your videos.

So when I did this challenge about 7 years ago, I did it with glitches, 2 points every boss 1 point every mini boss no points for npc. My highlights are still up on my twitch dumbtree13 Now I did it with glitches, just move swaps, for mantis I used move swap wagon wheel to take him down. I was able to kill every boss in the game one shot all the way up to ng+ o&s after that I forget which boss I knew I couldn’t kill one shot within the challenge so I ended it there. I probably consider this my favourite dark souls challenge run ever, was a ton of fun, frustrating but was able to do it. Like I said if you wanna see my highlights go to my twitch at dumbtree13 and you’ll see my cringe ass clips from 7-8 years ago lol

You earned yourself a follow from me, with hopes it lessens the 6033 PTSD (Saw Baron's run first so I was interested to see how you handled him, so far it's 2 for 2 on him causing emotional damage!). So how many points out of 108 did you end up with? Or do we have to wait for Lemon's Leaderboard to find out the winner?

While obviously it would be amazing to get that true one shot, 4 kings arguably falls into the multiple health bar rules because of the odd way damage is calculated for him (see max number of kings spawned by Limit Breakers for break down of said mechanic)
