About Authorization to Return to Canada (ARC):
If you have been the subject of a removal order from Canada you will probably need an Authorization to Return to Canada (ARC) if you want to return. Whether you need one depends on the type of removal order that was issued.
Before applying, consider why you were issued an enforcement order, as well as your current situation. For example, if you were deported because you were working illegally in Canada, are not currently employed and cannot prove strong ties to your home country, the officer is unlikely to be satisfied that you would respect the terms and conditions of your stay in Canada.
If the circumstances that led to the removal order being issued have not changed, it is less likely that you will be given permission to return.

Eithan Yanko your name is still down they know you changed your name and your records is still the same, also they know to call you by your new name... You can't outsmart the border Patrol that easily

Why would they take almost a year in deciding if they approve or not my ARC application? Does that mean that they are taking a good long look at it? Is it a good or a bad sign?

Hello, hoping you can answer my question.. I just became a Canadian citizen. Here in Vancouver BC; I am originally from Mexico and i got brought to the USA when I was 13 with my parents. I Lived there for almost 30 years. I left the country back to Mexico 5 years ago As I was waiting for my Canadian passport. I have it now.. My question is what are the chances of me being denied entry to US or what’s the worst that could happen if they find out I used to live there? I have family there that I haven’t seen in over 5 years. Thank you

Hello, I live in Mexico and was deported from the US in 2003 or 2004 after doing a little under 3 years in prison for a drug charge. Can I visit Canada? If not is there anything that I could do to fix this issue or is it very difficult.

what if i withdrawed my case and went home..Problem is i used pilot program where they payed me ticket back home..I have two brothers there,they are maried with Canadians and i would like to go back in C...It says deportation in my papers .?...

Hello Danijel: If you withdrew your case and you were not given a deportation order then you could possibility return to Canada without applying for an ARC. However, if you did get a deportation order yes you would have to apply for an ARC. You may have thought you withdrew but it appears you did receive a deportation order

Danijel Butkovic Hi Danijel, you said in your post that your papers mentioned "deportation order". You can retain the services of an immigration lawyer to investigate this if you are not sure.
