Welcome back! It's so good to see you. This piece was definitely a challenge but if anyone could pull it off it's you. And wow, did you ever! It has certainly been transformed into a lovely sherbet dream. Thank you for sharing you tips, tricks, and incredible talent with us! Take care and I hope to see you again soon! 😊
You couldn't see me, of course, but when I saw a video from you pop up I did a happy dance around my living room! Love this piece, love watching your creative process and Love that you're back!
I haven't seen the after photo yet! I Love this peace of furniture, and if you don't smell smoke, it probably comes from a home that did not have great air circulation! My Condo is like that, if I don't keep fans on when I have a shower. Windows sealed
It is a beauty! Great job. I love your blending/scraping techniques! You might try bar keepers friend (spray works great) or oxalic acid after boiling the hardware. I find it saves a lot of elbow grease (and it isn’t vinegar)!
Wow that’s so pretty and sweet!! You are quite the little miracle worker!! I love watching you work, it’s so fun to see what you come up with 😊 Thank you for sharing with all of us!! You have really been missed!
You are now getting me in trouble 😂. My father in law died in August (98 years old) and my husband is the sole heir. He’s inherited a very old piece of furniture with a marble top on it. The piece is probably worth some money, but I don’t care! I want to paint it! Not so sure though what my hubby would say if I do 🥴 I’ll let you know in the future if I become homeless because of this 😂 Good thing I live in the south of France and not in Sweden! I will not freeze to death in the winter snow ⛄️
BIGGEST FAN HERE!!!!! Cry Dawna!! girlfriend i haven't seen you in so long. i hope your doing GREAT! how's life in Maine? new pups? You where such a huge help to me getting started painted furniture years ago, you and beautiful Brandy.... love you both.
SO SO beautiful Crys'Dawna!! You are so talented lady!! I love love love this piece! How do you like working with Annie Sloan paint? I've NEVER used it.
Great to see your work again! I love this sweet little piece. ❤ Appropriately, the paint color Arles is named after a town in the French province of Provence which is most famous for being where Van Gogh painted some of his most famous works (and cut off his ear…😬). This includes his sunflowers in that beautiful yellow color!! (go to RU-vid to pronounce Arles - its tricky French). I was excited to see that beautiful Arles yellow and the lovely Provence blue! So very pretty!!! You artists unite! 🎉
OMGoodness, OMGoodness, I'm doing a happy dance here. I just spent the better part of 2 nights watching reruns of your creations. I'm sooooo excited. Love you sweet girl.💜 xoxo Now, I'll go watch😊😘🥰
Incredible work Crys Dawna .. I was so excited to read the blog and then jump to the instructional video. I’m glad to see you’re doing well and continuing to be creative and positive. I’m looking forward to putting some of these techniques into practice. You’re still one of my favs!!
Seems an age since RU-vid sent me anything from you, think you had just moved in to your farmhouse. I absolutely love what you have done with this piece. Thank you for your inspiration and great teaching🤣🤣👏❤❤
Hi Crysdawna; I love how it turned out. I liked the technique you used to fix the broken leg. I have one of those resin garden statues that looks like it got shot with a golf ball. It is hallow. Would bondo work if I used dry wall mesh to cover the hole first? I know that question is a little off topic but I do plan to repaint if I can fix it.
3 weeks later; rewatched your video and I hope you see my original question. One other question is about Salt Wash…can it be used on fabric? I painted a fabric couch a couple years ago and got a couple ‘L’ tears as my pooch had her toe nails clipped and they were sharp. Need to disguise the tears; I used Heat N Bond so the tear are tacked down but the ‘L’ is still very noticeable.
WOW! You are truly an artist! I love watching you transform something awful to something extremely gorgeous! I will definitely look at the ugly differently! You are amazing! Thank you!
I AM SO HAPPY to see you paint with Annie Sloan PAINT. That is all I use to paint my furniture and I love watching your blends. I did purchase Greek Blue a while back but haven’t used it yet. I also purchase the bright pink which is gorgeous too. Thanks for this video and I hope to see more with AS chalk paint ❣️💙💝👏🙋♀️🇨🇦🤗👍❤️❤️❤️
