Hey, I know there's been a lot of comments on the video so far, so I doubt you'll see this right off the bat. I've been working on this game for 3 years now. It's been long, tedious days, 12 hour workdays at points. I used to watch you when I was a KID, dude, like, I'm talking 9 years old when your first FNAF 2 theory dropped. That got me hooked on your content. Since then I've been watching, and, to see this happening, LET ALONE before your retirement, it's genuinely the biggest honor you could drop onto the shoulders of a small dev like myself. As a note, Squeaks is working on a back door to let him join the game and control an NPC to help guide players who are struggling. The features aren’t implemented but that’s what that server setting is about.
It would mostly happen for live streamers i think because he would know when they are playing, i mean hes not able to help every player who tries himself on that arg that would be just too much work 😂, But dude that would creep me out if there would suddenly be a second player or something like that in a game where i dont expect it 😱
Matpat asks why the achievement name was a four digit code. Matpat comes back to that same game and requires a four digit code. Matpat inspects every number on the keypad for help guessing the four digit code.

Hey! I'm not sure if anyone will see this, but for more spooky information and lore on this game I have a few hints! In the goose's minigame there is a glitching ceiling tile you can wall-jump to, it will show another small game segment you must complete. Once the segment is done, come back the way you came and on the theatre wall will show a video where the cutscene will play. If you wait for a few minutes on the title screen it will show the face of a man in the blank black side-margins of the screen. These are what I know about this for now, hope it helps! :)

I absolutely love this game, it’s filled with a ton of secrets and little details. Something you didn’t see for example, make sure to look at the skybox when it gets dark in the Walter Walrus minigame, and try to lose some of the minigames too as there are secrets to be found that way
57:45 ash calling out the c's looking like open parentheses is so funny, because mere moments before that i was thinking about how much it kept confusing me that they looked like open parentheses.
47:44 the change in tone between "Leave the island now." and "Keep Exploring" is really noticable here. Keep Exploring has all words capitalized and no punctuation, whereas "Leave the island now." has a period and only the first word is capitalized. i think this might be a sign of something dark.
While the immediate shock of you stepping down is still in full effect, the more time passes the happier I feel that this community is actually growing. Its such a bittersweet transition.
I literally just watched NightMind complete this game last night! It is such a cool experience and a lot deeper than you’d expect. It did get very difficult at points and I would suggest keeping notes on all of your discoveries!!!
I watched Ryetoast and in the deeper levels the creator of the game had ot come into the stream to give them a few pointers at times. that and Rye got softlocked out of an area because they died right as one of the doors were unlocking and so they had to go and lightly cheat to get through the door cause they did not want to restart that save.
This game is so creepy. idk what it is about N64 graphics but they always give me “barely contained” horror vibes. I was born in 2003 so I never played on one but I’ve seen games from it. My main experience has been these mock horror games lol 😅
I got a Nintendo 64 for Christmas they don't make them anymore but people refurbish old ones!!! I love mine and the games are not that expensive (does depend on where you go and the game but some are absolutely cheaper than some Nintendo games now)
It's really fun and playing on the actual thing really brings it to life!!! I kinda wish they still sold them and let people still make games for it I think they'd make a lot of money doing so!

Hey, MatPat, I wanted to remind you that from what I've seen in the video and game so far the only 4 digit numbers are 4742 from the achievement ACH_(4742) after completing the coconut mini game and 5120 for 5 Days or 120 hours, the total amount of time you have to save your friends which is repeatedly said by a wolf in the Short King Village
The way I screamed seeing this video pop up! Shipwrecked 64 is amazing and I was so nervous you wouldn’t have enough time to cover it before time was up! Hope you enjoyed your time playing it! Also Stumbler supremacy all the way I love that guy

you got the achievement "ACH_(4742)" by defeating olive's minigame (the coconut one) in the 2023 version. i reckon that's the four digit code for the number pad in the secret area of olive's minigame in the 1997 version.

1:05:11 Pausing the game in the 1997 version gives you "QFTVNF QFTOBXM QFSVQM SP NFMV", where it normally shows "RESUME RESPAWN RETURN TO MENU", which gives you many of the letter substitutions used in the cipher, revealing it just swaps each consecutive pair of letters around (A=B and B=A, C=D and D=C, and so on). Applying that on "kbzfq 2 qppn 3", we get "layer 2 room 3".
Really hoping they continue playing this game to the fullest extent! I know nothing about it/never heard of it before and it seems so freaking cool! Just a thought. Second, Walter Walrus reminds me of Wooly from Amanda the Adventurer. Like a lot, from the way he looks to the way he talks, what he says and how he says it. Like he knows something but is too scared to say anything. Third, this game reminds me of a combination between Banjo Kazooie and Puggsy. Graphics, gameplay, music sound effects, characters, everything. It’s hitting a hard nostalgia point for me and I love it. And lastly, thanks for being here for me all this time. Hey MatPat!! I’m 99% sure the cypher text on the door’s sign translates to “Layer 2 Room 1”. (My dad and I decoded it together.) I think the reason your online decoding programs had trouble solving it was because to get this answer I had to pick either the letter before or the letter after the original’s letter. (For example, K would be either J or L) and it randomly did either the one that came before or the one that came after for each following letter in the original coded text. I hope this makes sense and I hope you can see it!

I have tuned in to Game Theory since 2013, and I enjoy all of the channels. However, GTLive holds a special place in my heart. Being able to "hang out" with MatPat, Steph, CatPat, Mirror Matt, and now Ash as I cleaned, studied for college, and just about anything has been such a blessing. It has been great to get to know the people on the couch as they explore levels, solve puzzles, or even react to memes. Thank you guys for everything. ❤
Dang, leaving without 'finishing' Petscop. Note, it's pretty much finished 6 months after Game Theorists' latest theory on it, with more videos (and an extra scene at the end of its soundtrack video) that have come out. For anyone who may pick it up, I'm gonna save the trouble: The game controller language system is more phonetic-based, so on Petscop 23 5:03, the word would start to sound like "da". And on Petscop soundtrack, Lina=Boss (Belle made a word/sound for Lina (Leenuh), but it was substituted with "Boss")

I hope Matpat makes a return to this game before his retirement rarely games comes out that is just disturbing and terrifying but it seems like this game is one of them. Matpat has barely scratched the surface for this game so I'd like to see him at least go further into the game.
My mom's nickname for me is "Lizzie B" so seeing "Liz B" in the first scene of the game gave me more of a jumpscare than the actual jumpscares did, lol.
