Welcome back to skyrim! Where today we set out on a second attempt of an impossible challenge! Can you beat the survive 100 days in skyrim hardcore challenge? The rules are simple, Legendary difficulty skyrim with survival mode but the added twist that you are not allowed to equip any Armor or weapons. This is the hardest possible challenge skyrim can offer. You are effectively playing at 1 hp and almost anything will kill you and fail the run. Ontop of that in survival mode you must eat and sleep similarly to an indie survival game. You must also balance temperatures which in the cold northern lands of skyrim is rather impossible.
Today we are putting a few twists on the original concept by doing the entire run live! To add additional challenge we will also be raising money for this years jingle jam!

What you have seen here today is part of a fantastic perfectly balanced gameplay series on youtube where I go from game to game and break them with wacky exploits to gain things like unlimited gold and infinite money all in a fantastic montage. Doing Sheogoraths quest gives you a free bed in a warm location, the bedroll in the Pelagius wing. Free sleeping there. Then go around and gather ingredients, turn those into potions, turn the potions into gold, gold into food and a follower for combat... Easy.

@@TheGreyKami No it isn't? Delayed Burial is vanilla, not Cutting Room Floor. CRF adds a cutscene in front of Whiterun that directs you to the quest, but the quest itself was always there. Unless you mean something else?

@@lokdog257 If you go to the Loreius farm area (up the path from Whiterun iirc) before Cicero shows up in the DB questline, Cicero will be stuck outside the farm with a broken wagon wheel. If you talk to him, he'll tell you that the farmer has tools but refuses to help him. If you persuade the farmer to help Cicero, Cicero will give you some gold as thanks.

1:53:00 Spiff: Implies the imperials don't test before accepting you into their ranks. Also Spiff, but 20 seconds later: Gets sent on a test to join the imperials. Not gonna take sides here, but the stormcloaks only send you to kill one enemy for their test. They also give potions if you are lower than level 20. Which one is truly testing you? Think the stormcloaks might make the challenge a bit easier.

Realistically the imperials send you on what would be a suicide mission for anyone who isn't essentially a demigod, by comparison the Stormcloaks actually give you a mission that is possible and poisons to help you. From a challenge perspective imperials are better but the game paints the empire as undeniably evil.

The outrageous rules are the problem. "Todd, why do you make the game so good, but so frustrating?" All the frustration is self-inflicted. Legendary difficulty, Survival Mode, and self-imposed equipment and abilities restrictions that are grossly unrealistic. He's setting himself up for failure. He could still make it challenging without going so far over the top that he gives himself zero chance of success, which is what he's done. If he wants his characters to be suicidal, he could just lob them off the top of the Throat of the World and be done with it.

It's runs like these that make me wonder if I'm the only person who knows you can get free room and board in the Bannered Mare, by selling at least one piece of firewood to Hulda. Free bed, money, and supplies (barring her sword) for one piece of firewood. That you can get right outside by chopping wood. It even has a free ax right next to it.

Anyway doing a run with your exploits you've shown so far, as well as the special editions 'Survival Mode' having alot of fun with it. Although I'm stuck with the Fortified Restoration potion loop, doesn't seem to work for me.

@@jayhom5385 With the patch loaded you can still do a slightly lower power loop using enchanting to buff potions to buff enchanting... And so on. It just takes longer and you need a lot of random soul gems, saving grand ones for your final form.

Hey Spiff I had an idea that may help you in you Survive 100 days series. What if you set your starting conditions but instead of permadeath you implement a death penalty. I was thinking something like add 10 days to the run and give yourself a new restriction every time you die. That way you would be able to have a few mishaps before the run becomes impossible. You could even have the community vote on a selection of new restrictions when you die so the communi-TEA can take part in making your life hell. Hope you like the idea. Cheers!

Oh by the way! Another major drawback of being a vampire/werewolf in survival: you cannot become well rested, so you’ll have less time before you get drained than a regular character, thus you need to sleep more

I started a game recently and did the necromancer alternate start in blackreach. Fury was my main method of killing falmer. Problem was half of them were above level 6 so fury did nothing.

You need to get the summon Ghost spell next to the Ritual Stone. It's one of the best spells in the game, and you can use it at any level. The more Magica you have, the stronger it is also.

I love how you can be afraid of enemys again. Begin totally OP is entertaining, but somehow takes a good part of the fun away. On the other hand, no combat in a combat centric game is odd to me as well.. Please don't be too restrictive. Here's my inspiration for 103+days, feel free to adapt: Get Legacy of the Dragonborn and LAL as relic hunter FARRISON HORD or CRARA LOFT: No stealing (despite for the museum, don't use), no pickpocketing, no killing unless you have already been spotted/attacked. You must not buy anything, only use what you find, mine, harvest, craft or loot. No follower. Still too easy? Then do not use any perks in your skill tree Looking forward to next attempt

there is a way with that build in endgame but as per usual potions are your friend. illusion works on everything with both perks and a stupid powerful illusion power potion letting you sidestep your spells dropping off endgame. for conjuration you want the sanguine rose for leveled demon summons and used a high power conjuration potion to simulate the thrall effect with them. twin souls still works here as well. shame these are about your best options endgame for this but if you remember to refresh your thralls so they stay on your level and this build will slap whatever the level.

@Ian Wallace I found sanguine rose and storm antronarch along will a follower was a good meta alduin was troublesome tho not much of a threat just took FOREVER TO DIE basically any baddy that was max fury level and was impossible to stealth from was a issue or was a slow ass fight and ya before i realized there was a infinite restoration/enchanting/potion loop of course and mostly outside of healing overlooked potions

The fact that you didn't want to make the imperial legion quest because it'll be too hard, but wolfskull cave would be the easier choice... 😂 I cried laughing there. Did you ever fully played skyrim, like as close to 100% as you can @The Spiffing Brit? I always thought you know this game inside out because of all die exploits you know and such, but turns out you've barely seen it. Or you are a really talented actor. 😂 Anyway, love your videos, amazing content, hope you keep doing it (and more skyrim content) for a long time. ❤

FYI spiff, what peepss was probably trying to explain about the audio was that all the NPC audio was barely heard... heard enough that it would have been better to mute npc dialog audio, or make it load enough to understand.

I love this video. he plays Skyrim where you get to be the legendary Dragonborn, a hero who can kill and consume the souls of dragons. He could choose to join the companions, the Dark brotherhood, Thieves Guild, Mage's guild, or maybe choose a side in the Civil war! What role dose he choose take on? Peasant.

I bought Skyrim for myself and have been trying out some of the things Spiff has shown off in his other videos. The merchant sell-their-stuff-to-them trick I have been completely unable to pull off so I think that may have been patched. The Khajiit trader chest is still there. My current struggle has been in getting the Fortify Restoration loop to get past 35%. I'm assuming this is because my alchemy level is only like 18 or something but it seems that I'll need some items with better alchemy strength than 7% to actually get anywhere.

i haven't been able to pull off the restoration loop for shit, but i HAVE been able to pull off the selling a merchant their own items. not that long ago either. you have to have a mouse and keyboard for it and its slightly difficult to do, and very easy to muck it up if you're not careful
