Hey folks, back to good old Rimworld, I hope you enjoy this video I made for you. It's funny, in a video a good while ago now I said something like "it's wierd to me that people play 100 days and end it there, that's when it's just getting started"... well... this is different somehow... don't ask how, it just is. Until next time, remain indoors, appreciate you all.
In a hole in the ground there lived a pawn. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a pawn-hole, and that means comfort.
Lars, after over a hundred days "Ahh, I'll finally be free, and see what benevolent being sent the chocolate I so carefully rationed!" *Steps outside to see dead deers and vomit*
3:44 Lars: "I'm starving and I need clothes. How will I survive until my plants grow?" 140 meat & 75 leather: "Hi, I'd like to arrive at your colony." Lars: "No no, I'm too busy thinking about where to get some food. I can't help you."
@windrose5988 Probably where Lars originally landed. When there are limited arrival options the game does what it must. Or she will crash land into rock and die, or walk-spawn into rock and die. One of those 3 options. But a 1/3 chance is still better than none, no?
God, this was so hecking cozy. You're a wonderful narrator. I love your voice. I love how you word stuff. It's like reading a good book in a comfy armchair in front of a cozy fire.
There's a hole in the bottom of the Rim. There's a hole in the bottom of the Rim. There's a hole, there's a hole, there's a hole in the bottom of the Rim. There's a Lars in a hole in the bottom of the Rim.
15:00 There is indeed a mod for that, most likely, probably... I don't know why would you listen to me this is a comment only for the sake of engagement. Have a nice day.
There's something poetic about Lars thriving in an ecosystem he basically made with his own bare hands, deep in a mountain on a world that is dying from toxic pollution.
Big fan of how Lars' story ends up proving his lifestyle based on staying inside and pleasuring himself daily was actually the one thing stopping him from dying like the rest of the world around his mountain. Definetly not just me struggling to justify my similar actions. Also was that a teaser for a Spore video on 16:11 ? Fucking love that game.
i like the image of some survivor of the toxic fallout searching for other people, passing by lars as he emerges from the mountain like some cryptid only to take a few glances out and immediately brick back up the hole he made
Wanted to give you a tip from beneath the mountain, if you make a fungle gravel floor and grow nothing in it. You will see timber shroom which function as trees and glow shroom which are temporary lights. If you then make a grow zone and forbid sowing your colonists will harvest both of these automatically.
I simply adore this youtube channel, no matter the game, be it rimworld, dwarf fortress, or even project zomboid, every time I see you posted a new video I know I will have an incredibly enjoyable watch ahead of me. Please keep the videos coming, I love your content and simply can't get enough of it. Cheers from Brazil!
One good tip, is to leave doors open inside the complex so as to not loose time opening them and making the most of time, as well as making him bulk craft (blocks) and dropping them in place instead of hauling each small batch.
Sometimes the YT algorithm blesses us with a hidden gem. couple of weeks ago, i stumbled across, whichever video it was, was like, hmm interesting lets see more, then watched 3 more, and then it clicked, this man needed an extra sub.
I get the same entertainment of a Hazzor Video as of a AA Video. Its just that Hazzor is soothing and AA is Chaotic. Are you sure you`re not the same person under a different pseudonym?
this is so much fun! Digging in rimworld scratches my lizard brain, kinda wish there was a really advanced quarry or Z level mod that let me live out my digging dreams.
Dwarf fortress It's a buggy mess unfortunatly (or atleast it was a few years ago) but you can make amazing cave forts. Subterranean moats that fill up by the pull of a lever is great fun! Except for all the poor tunnelers suffering from the kinks in the construction plan, drowning as they hit an unexpected acquifer.
Imagine being trapped under a mountain smashing rocks and eating only fungus for weeks until chocolate miraculously crashes through your one tiny hole to the rest of the world. That would be a religious experience.
There really is something different about controlling one pawn. Feels special. I'll never forget melissa, who dutifully beat a lion to death with a club to avoid death by starvation
When u said "on the 7th day... He did not rest" I lost it because I grew up in church lmao so im mentally programmed to hear rest on seventh day. Golden joke man😂😂
Just installed rimworld today, there was a small fire I wan unable to contain, one colonist was insisting on sleeping while the other was bouncing between tending to the hospitalized person and putting out the fire… one had catatonic and the other was sadly wandering… I have lost everything. To add salt to the would the hospitalized person got up and limped home… love this game already lol
Letting pawns get malnutrition is not something you should do if you are trying to ration food if you have any to give them. It seems like a lot of people in these sorts of challenge runs that do this forget that malnutrition gives a steadily increasing significant hunger rate increase the more it progresses, around 50%+ faster hunger decrease depending on just how far. So you end up actually having to eat more food to keep them malnourished than if you just kept them a bit hungry due to how malnutrition progresses.
technically any mod that allows filling inventory and then haul is a vanilla quality of life mod. In vanilla rimworld you can start a caravan then pack a few of the items you want to haul then disband the caravan and your colonist can drop their stuff where you want him.
every time i use a mod for the impossable mountain tiles, i get this weird edge around the map were its just normal ground/trees growing etc, idk whats wrong though
Hazzor GFDI u get a sub from be not mainly because of your great gameplays of Rimworld videos but its your "Hello again". I cannot stop hearing that even when not watching videos. Even at work!! Yes I know this video is a year old but still. Subbed to your channel ffs xD
You make this game look so easy, bro! Your videos inspired me to get Rimworld myself, but I don't think I've even been able to survive a week yet. 😅 I'd really like to try one of your more creative ideas like this one; like a tribe with only two people or so in an underground settlement. But I'll have to try that another time. Can you tell me how you do the xenotyping stuff BTW? (I *assume* it's not a mod??)
I have read comments, all comments under RU-vid video. For the first time in my life. And know what? I'm glad, that they are 98% positive) You've got the largest confidence interval. Even statistics on your side)
Instead of sanguine which gives you +12 mood buff you could pick nudist, which gives you +20 mood buff. I think that we don't mind if Lars's meat will dangle in front of ours faces
Year old i know, even when Mr Anphib released the vid I tried to recreate it and yeah, constantly mining into open areas is what happened. Its almost liked a modded version of Z-Levels was made so that way the "Z Level" spawned as the mountain
you may steal from him just dont make the same mistake as he did (giving lucifarium to the main colonist) theres nothing that offends me more then that
i like to imagine at the end when the lonely mole man poked his head out, saw all the dead animals around on the ground outside he just said "well fuck this" put the last rock back and went back to his hole XD
im trying to find the music that is playing in the background from about 14:00 minutes in but cant get my software to pick it up with it in the background like it is could someone help me out?
this was probably the least ambitious playthrough of yours but i feel like i enjoyed it far more than the others. it felt way more silly and fun, i want lars to be my friend.
