I really enjoyed this event, was cracking good fun throughout (apart from no sleep, getting soaked and aching all over). Cheers for putting me on the team lads!
"Ben jumped in the kart for a 4 am stint" U WOT. I WAS IN THAT THING FROM HALF 3 TIL 6 AND YOU'RE GONNA DO ME LIKE THAT?! For real tho, thanks for inviting me! Was nice to be around fellow plebs.
Was an awesome event and thanks for having me along guys! 🤙🏻 For those curious to what happened in my first stint, I was taken out three times by others due to the amount of rain making others unable to brake. But it’s racing and was so fun to take part!
I've participated in two 24 hours races as driver. The team had 5-6 drivers. So it was 4-5 hours for each driver. Honestly after 60 to 90 minutes of sitting in a kart, you are usually very happy to get out - if you still can... And if you have to do it 4 times, then you know how you feel after the last stint...
@@nodlimax I'd rather race 10 hours straight in a WEC car rather than 5 in kart tbh. At least in WEC cars you can rest your back and is very comfortable. In kart you literally have no backrest
I did a 24hr in 2019 did about 4 hrs of it. Did a 12hr in 2018, did about 6 hrs of it, and regularly to 6 hr races and normally do 3hrs of them. You get used to it and the relevant muscles cope, just need to be relaxed.
Different for me, we only did an 12 hour endurance race but and each stint is only limited to 60 minutes but but honestly it’s never enough, the atmosphere of driving in the dark is amazing and when the sun rises it’s even more relaxing, in my stints it always felt like 20 minutes like it’s never enough. Incould do a whole 24 hours if I want to, it’s that fun :)
When you are so early, the only comments are "when you are so early the only comments say "when you are so early the comments say" when you are so early the only comments are "wOw i'M fiRsT""
I recently did 45 minutes of straight intense karting and I was absolutely dying after. Back, forearm and hand pain for about 3 days. I can only image what yall must have felt like. It was great fun tho!
You're a brave man! I've done a 12h karting event for my university back in the day and after 12h, we were destroyed, physically and mentally. It did not rain but it was bloody hot!
I just realised. This man is the guy on the computer across from me in the f1 2019 game A mechanic for the redbull team A reporter before you start the race. A camera man You mustve been flat out all 2019 🤣🤣🤣
While i like Karting it's not exactly fair, the Karts aren't looked after and there's no ballast to level the playing field. It's less about skill and more about how much you weigh and if your kart has been serviced properly.
