This mod set needs other options for building traversal, like rope bridges or even just a hand-over-hand rope line. There's a mod that allows climbing, maybe that would work to get up from swimming into a new building?
@@Pr1vateLime Nope, sadly only another banger of a promising series. That joke and post hijacking aside: Thank you for the great entertainment value provided in general, be it PZ (which sometimes brings be to boot it up again as well and occasionally try out the modlist myself) or other games I'd never have found otherwise or am not necessarily interested in to play myself but are a joy to watch.
This waterworld map looks awesome! Initially i thought that food would be no issue with all the water, but you actually thought about it and made it harder to fish lol
Pretty solid start for Sammy, aside from dumping all that fresh water! This looks to be a great premise for a run. I think I would have had to add the run/jump mod though, so I could build just short of each new rooftop and just leap the last tile. Just in case you find there is a ton of zeds there, so as not to have made them a bridge to your claimed roofs.
The best idea for the reason why you were there was you had the idea that the untouched city because of the flood meaning gold of loot, you arrive and instantly have to get on the roof from the drowned horde grabbing your anckles in the waters
The funniest part is that technically, the water is just by your ankles but your dude us like "absolutely not" end does not wat to get in the water Edit: now that I saw him swimming in like 1 feet water makes this even more funny
Sadly, you gotta suspend disbelief until we get proper z level support. I like to imagine its a layered city like how china has some city platforms dozens of feet up on a concrete block
Yes!! Roof top and roof top like challenges where you have to build to get to new places are always my favourite videos to watch, this is going to be so fun
I want to say thank you for introducing me to Sesceptible. Never heard of the mod before finding this series and it really changed how I play after several hundred hours
I just got back into zomboid after a year long hiatus and one of the most interesting mods I saw was this one, and now he's playing it a day later, what luck!
Susceptible Overhaul makes Susceptible even harder by adding mechanics where the mask durability gets drained as long as you keep it on, even without zombies around and the mask making it harder for you to breath in, just dropping that here 👀
Time traveler in PZ: “I’m gonna go 10 years into the future when everything will clearly be better!” (Boop) “… oh.” (That’s my head canon on how we started here)
Here before firsters. HA HA! I did it. Real quick I just want to say that these videos are great. You’re the reason I got into PZ, so I just want to say keep it up!
Very interesting new series. Looking forward to more episodes. Is there a skill related to swimming that can be improved? Because currently Sammy seems absolutely terrible at it. Unless you're asthmatic or something, and assuming it's a relatively calm water because it's inside, you shouldn't become completely exhausted by swimming a few meters from the stairs to the shelf. I also think the random loot dropping without a way to recover it is way too punishing.
Yooo, Love this new series! After missing a few episodes of the floating city my ADD kicked in and said that "Oh, that much time? Bit much" so I wasn't really motivated to watch that, but this seems really fun! def will watch.
If you want to be able to have boats spawning but no other vehicles there is a new mod out called rust that gives you a lot of vehicle sandbox options such as what spawns and the conditions they will be in. I haven't tested it too much but it could be something you could try. Look forward to seeing more of this challenge!
If I had to turn my socks into a makeshift face mask, I would probably have a lung infection not yet named by any physician. I would have torn up a sleeve.
yet a another interesting concept for a Zomboid series....ooooh boy this one is already shaping up to be a very unique and interesting run Lime and can't wait to see more episodes to come.....shame about the lack of boats, a row or rib boat would suit this environment very well.
17:37 you know you say u need 10 planks to make it across the gap between roofs... cant you break the window here and plank between our side and this building and then go thru the window? would only require like 3-4 planks?
Sadly zomboid is really finicky with building from window frames, ive had too many terrible times where i launch myself off the roof from autopathing from behind them. Ill only build from those if I got a sledgehammer nearby
@@Pr1vateLime can u break the wall below the window frame so it ends up like a door and u dont need the jump thru window animation? or does that require special tools and skills?
I tried that swimming mod before and it is fun, but you can actually just nimble in the water to greatly reduce how much stamina you use in the water. Walking speed or running will destroy your stamina and you can actually die in water... but it will take a bit. Its a interesting challenge though lol.
Interesting, so its not that there's water at the floor of ground level, but rather its like all in ground level is underwater, even if graphics cant handle that, so going down is swimming under. Thats neat, thought this would be a 'floor is lava' like idea, but seems more involved and way harder.
Wow this is a really cool mod! Altering the environment is always makes for a fun challenge. Looking forward to all the hilariously risky resource gathering, as well as the eventual spiderweb of walkways. This will be a fun journey!
I hope you can bang open cans or find a can opener real soon. Or else Swimming Sammy may become Sinking Sammy.x.x I'm really enjoying ep.1 of the new series though. If Sammy dies I vote you bring in her brother Swimmer Sam. XD
I really wish someone would make a mod that lets us craft deployable vehicles. Having the ability to craft up a bicycle that you can fold up and carry when you need to. Or a motorbike made from scrap parts that you craft in place. Or in the case of this challenge, a makeshift motorboat.
I really enjoy your series, but this one it's such awesome sauce, I mean, awesome watery sauce? The mods are perfect, and maybe I can play this game again without feeling I'm going to die for zombie so easily.
This looks interesting. Hopefully you'll makie it through this alive and thriving! Also, have you checked out the proximity inventory mod? It makes looting way faster and easier, and you can access containers that are harder to reach. It's maybe the best QoL mod I've ever used for this game.
Dont get me wrong, i LOVE the 10 years later mod. But i hate the IDEA of it. My character has SOMEHOW survived 10 years in this hell on their own. Then i take control, and absolutely over estimate my skill and/or underestimate the size of the horde and he/she dies in 20 mins. My bad...
i kind of wish this mod removed the first floor from the game and made every tile on the second floor not covered by anything into a water tile , shelves and stuff took weird on the first floor like this
The swimming stamina drain seems kind of ridiculous. Drowning in large relatively calm bodies of water is very unlikely. The real danger is the cold of the water. If you fall overboard from a ship at sea, you will die of hypothermia. Realistically, it should be a matter of standing dry and keeping warm.
You could say she is wearing the mask because of the Inevitable black mold infestation in all of the buildings Edit: you could also say the infected are infected with the black mold with a lou/lou2 vibes
