The Galactic i know you didn’t ask me , but i’ve been leaving conditioner in my hair and mine has been growing fast from it too , i use aussie moist conditioner the one with the avocado , and coconut water conditioner from ogx they both work good and they smell good too
For some reason, using my rinse out conditioner as a leave in works great for me and adds shine to my curls. My hair also seems to be growing super fast. Amazing video god bless you 🙏🏻❤️
one of my boy friends told me that he saw an article abt a woman using a rinse out conditioner as leave in. i was definitely curious and tried it 4 days ago. and i can say that my hair is much better. i'm really a sucker for great hair, so i searched it if it really works, thanks for this.
I just started doing this. During the pandemic I have had to learn to do my natural hair FAST. I was terrified I might break my hair off for using (Carol's Daughter) conditioner as a leave in. But my hair just feels SO much better leaving it in. So I am glad I found your posting. Thanks!
actually, all conditioners, rinse out or leave-in, use the charge method, that's why they recommend using the shampoo of the same line, cause the shampoo turns your hair's charge negative for the conditioner to stick to it better.
Leaving conditioner in your hair back than was normal, my hair was to my back as a child and my mom usually never washed it out. I m temporarily using Suave's Coconut Conditioner as a leave in (just temporarily till i can go to my hair store and get some stuff) IT DEFINES YOUR CURLS AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH there is literally nothing else but that in my hair and it made it so defined and healthy looking ah! (Type 3 curls on the looser side)
Thats what I'm using now (suave Shae butter and pure coconut oil) as my leave in and I was so confused because the rinse out conditioner works waaaaaay better than the leave in and my curls are so defined! I'm glad she made this video because I planned on continuing this method.
This was a really good an informative video. I'm so glad you made it. My brother asked me the question about a leave-in vs rinse out conditioner and I wasn't able to answer it. I just knew they felt different and one may cause a lot more build up in your hair. Also, so glad I wasn't the only one who had that experience with the Cantu Leave-In Condition. It always felt and looked like it was just sitting on my hai. UGH! I had to switch.
Yeah, those spray leave-in conditioners are way too lightweight for my hair. Sometimes I use the rinse conditioners as leave-ins, but I usually use hair oils like OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Penetrating Oil. It's really good.
I love the color of those contacts on you! And I know what you mean about the cantu, I used to use it when I was younger and I think I used mousse with it too or something. I always wondered what the difference was between rinse out and leave in conditioners. Thanks for this video!
Thank you for your ingormation I am natural and Ive been using rinse out conditioner as a leave in for years! I just uploaded a curly hair routine if you would li ke to see how I use it but yes I avoid my scalp!
Mrs.Robinson's Curls wait you avoid your scalp!! I should’ve read this cause I sprayed my hair with water and rinse out conditioner while my hair is in twist.
I know this video was made months ago but I still wanted to comment. I did this about 20 years ago and developed a fungus on my scalp. The dermatologist told me the rise-out conditioner trapped moisture which prevented my scalp from airing out and unable to breathe. I'm sure it's different for everyone but that's what happened in my case. I had to use medicated shampoo to get rid of the fungal infection. After that I only left in the leave-in conditioner and had no more problems because it is made differently than rinse-out.
The problem was, you applied this to your scalp and probably didn't wash regularly with shampoo. Many ppl use rinse out conditioner with no problems. I hate to hear you developed a fungus. Glad you are better.
I have 3b/c hair. I tried using rinse out conditioner as a leave-in. It coated my hair making it look dry and my curls were not defined like when using a leave in cream or conditioner. It also felt like it was coated. I'm thinking of mixing aloe vera gel with rinse out conditioner and some water. If you have any experience with this, let me know! I used mane n tail conditioner as a leave in which worked amazingly for a few years in humidity taming my frizz completely! Then it started breaking it off. So, now I'm using different things. Cantu works well for me the cleaner my hair is as well as the Shea moisture leave in. I'm now living in a dryer environment, so that may be a factor.
Actually as I'm reading this I have conditioner in my hair with a little peppermint oil and jojoba oil but I'm rinsing out...my cousin use to leave it in as a leave in and her hair start coming out...thanks for info also🥰
I loveeeeee peppermint oil. I started using a rinse out again as a "long deep condition" lol. Working really well now that my hair is dry after our second baby was born.
I use Tresemme hair conditioner as a leave-in hair conditioner to moisturizer and Shea butter for the ends of my hair, but now I’m starting to think after watching this video maybe I shouldn’t do it so often/ daily? What are your thoughts, I have 4c hair and I’d like to find something that works for me but I don’t want to clog up my hair cuticles. #help!
Thank you for this video!!! I use Aussie conditioner as a leave in all the time. I just love the way it feels to just keep it in. I have high porosity hair so I need a lot of moisture. But after listening to your research I may have to start experimenting with other brands- my hair was itchy afterwards. So I'll try to find one that agrees with my scalp. THANKS!!!!!
@@VictoriaVaden I actually started using Aunt Jackie's Leave in conditioner (which I LOVE❤) and she has a really nice leave in that my hair loves😊 Also, I found that using a moisturizing shampoo makes a huge difference on how soft my hair feels!
I too am transitioning to natural but plan on wearing my hair straight. Im wondering if I can use a rinse out conditioner and blow dry my hair with it. Like a vo5.
It'll be fine :) I do it during the summer months bc I need something to help with frizz but using too many products is too much for me in the summer, while leave ins are too light
It depends on your hair, but (for me), I always put a leave-in immediately after washing, then use a curling cream the next morning. On the second day (if I don't deep condition/cowash), I'll just use water. If I cowash, then I'll just refresh my curls in the morning and maybe use a spray leave-in.
Years ago after I birthed my oldest, Mane n Tail started to do the same for me. I use it like once a quarter now smh. It's so strong, but works really well still.
