Hall Effect Water Flow Meter Sensor is for measuring the amount of water flow. Theoretically, when the air flow through the pipe, and make the pin wheel revolve, it also outputs an electrical pulse. According to the testing video, we can confirm this.
Our iSentrol hall effect flow sensor incorporates a pin wheel and fits inline with a hose or pipe and measures the amount of liquid that has flown through it. It integrates a sealed magnetic hall effect sensor outputs an electrical pulse with every revolution.
But if testing air, the problems also exist.

First step, we are going to test the stability of several flow sensors with the help of several air pumps.
The first air pump we are going to use is a very small one, with 6mm outer diameter outlet. It can blow off confetti.
The water flow sensors we are going to test are:
USN-HS10PA with 10mm OD inlet and flow range of 0.5-10LPM
USN-HS06PI with 6mm OD inlet and flow range of 0.05-1.5LPM
USN-HS08PB with 8mm OD inlet and flow range of 0.15-1.5LPM
USN-HS06PA-1 with 6mm OD inlet and flow range of 0.15-1.5LPM
USN-HS06PS with 6mm OD inlet and flow range of 0.05-1.0LPM
USN-HS05PA with 5mm OD inlet and flow range of 0.03-0.08LPM
USN-HS08PB、USN-HS06PS USN-HS06PA-1 and USN-HS05PA all work.
As the pin wheel of USN-HS08PB is too heavy, the wheel revolve smoothly only at a certain angle. This is not an ideal product at this point.
The housing of this sensor USN-HS08PB is transparent, so it is an ideal product to test the durability of the wheel under a low speed.
