The super short spring in the barrel is free-floating. It acts as a dampener for the plunger head. The included "scar" isn't a real scar sadly. Sorry if this was said before.
The poll has an option for 'crusher and regenerator' but we did the regenerator in episode 108. Proposal to change the poll to 'crusher and mad mega barrel' That lonxshot doubling the fips with a new spring is impressive! Mine's still got the original plunger tube in it as well. I have the aluminium pt as back up, but haven't needed it yet
Mine is 19 coils of pro25. The precompression flexes the prime bar, which is the only reason you'd need sabres. The turnaround broke on mine also, so padding an some madman making a cnc turnaround and pusher would solve everything. GREAT system, just needs better components.
You might need to reinforce the priming linkage on the lock by filling in voids with putty. Possibly on the shell, too. X-Shot's thin plastic loves to flex with heavier springs. Hopefully, it didn't just decide to eat itself. This does give me hope for the reshell that got leaked recently!
Aw, I liked the editing error... I do suggest looking into Foamdemics BCAR for the longshot, replaces the current muzzle. So no more attachment spot, but nice svelte rifling.
I bought the Lock and love using it for plinking and family nerf battles. The QR code is just a sticker, so you can scan it then take it off. It’s a fun blaster to use in my opinion, kind of biased because I really like lever action lol.
Yeah, the lock blaster doesn’t like being opened up. My brother got one, and I offered to try opening it up to see if I could do anything, and we spent the next 4-5 hours trying to get that !@#$&^! rotation mech to work. It works now, but it’s a little weird.
I put the 3d printed half dart rear loader kit in it and that seemed to get a lot better performance without changing the spring. I think that kit might make it perform better with the k25?
@@CaptainXavier you did, and it was a brilliant video however i was referring to placing the spring inside the magazine to feed the darts faster and yes, it is nothing less than satire
Would an electronic alarm/light system be interesting as a way to confirm hits on the 75 and 100 feet range targets? Like an extra light pressure button so it could still trigger even when darts are out of thud at range..
I mean, if I wanted to spend several thousand dollars to solve the issue of "sometimes it is hard to hear if the dart hit the furthest target"...sure. But I don't really feel it is that big of an issue.
Please do a video showcasing your upgraded xshot longshot with explainations on why you went with said upgrades. I've upgraded 1 with a 400mm barrel, 14kg spring, and metal plunger tube. It hits 210. I'm gonna do another with a metal catch, tube, priming bar, 450mm barrel, and a bcar. I was told 450 is too long, but I'm gonna do it anyway.
Please don't snark, but I did notice at one point, when talking about what upgrade the Longshot got from K25, that you said the FPS doubled from 120 to 140, not 240. It was at the 8:47 mark. Otherwise, it's an amazing episode like always.
Thank you for this video. I am a big fan of these 2 blasters. You are causing me a bit of dissociation whenever I hear you mispronouncing aluminium. It reminds me that you are in fact a North-American. Although your demeanour is mostly European. No, I don't mean anything by it. Yes there are differences between people living in the aforementioned geographic areals.
Hey now! I didn't mispronounce "aluminium." I correctly pronounced "aluminum." We pronounce it differently because we spell it differently. :P Apparently, it was originally going to be alumium, since it was the metal element found in alum salt. But the man who discovered it opted to go with aluminum (no idea why he put that 'n' in there). However, the larger academic world felt an "ium" ending was better as it would match the other salt metals (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, etc) but instead of dropping the 'n' they opted to throw in an extra 'i' and so ended up with "aluminium." And thus started the great divide. TLDR: We are both wrong. It should be "alumium." :D
I got them on AliExpress. I have since removed them as they just made it harder to put on the vest and much harder to put on a proton pack for no real benefit.
