I donated the Turbo Shot, and yes I did drill out the cylinder, but the air restrictor was gone long before I got there. I also pulled off the front shroud that kept it from taking full size darts. I kind of wanted to see it explode. LOL

Just for anyone who has a Turbo Advance, or it’s Adventure Force clone the Super Drum, a clipped Elite Alpha Trooper spring can nest perfectly inside the stock spring and really makes these things sing with FPS in the 90’s easy. I didn’t even remove the air restrictor or dart pegs! These things are beasties.

It has 2 magazines, but is bolt action. You need to combine it with a stampede. Dual magazines and full auto. Please cap, I believe in you
The Turbo Advances are supposed to be coming back in March with the new blue and white scheme that some reviewers got. So, maybe you can snag one this time around.

i wish the white Turbo Advances were still around! i really want this blaster, but i just _hate_ that the common yellow variety looks like the freaking magic school bus. normally im tired of white blasters, but ill take white over yellow in this case
The yellow version is getting replaced by the white version. I think it was Drac who said something about that. Anyway, there was a video of the Zuru booth at the toy fair on youtube a few days ago and they showed off a bunch of the new white variant of their old yellow blasters. So, I'm pretty sure they'll bring back the Turbo Advance in white eventually.
I like the look of the turbo fire, maybe the shell can be fitted around a rotofury? Do you have one lying around to put next to eachother to see if that's even remotely doable?
I put a smaller spring inside the stock spring and got it up to around 90 FPS. Love it. It's my favorite war blaster currently. I don't remember what I put inside it though... I need to label my springs
I'd like to see if the first one is able to be re barreled for rival that little part on the back on top looks like it might be a good spot for a proton pack hose.
I watched this and had to mod my own turbo advance. I used a farshot spring as my tek 6 spring didn't seem to fit over the plunger rod. I wish I had a chronograph but it performs way better than stock now.
Theres the Buzz Bee clip tek pistol and the nerf vintage warthog pistol but both are fairly difficult to acquire i think. Still though, some to possibly cover one day
ok so i.just bought the x shot coolstriker red fortress (which is pretty much the same thing but with a foregrip a ,bit of a different design , and also more lastic around the priming thing)i have no idea if the added plastic around the priming thing affects the warping of the blaster but can you try putting K26 in the fortress
As suggestions for blasters to K26, how about...Zuru X-shot Max-Attack or its pistol variant, X-shot Hurricane? Or Nerf Surgefire? Or maybe even (and I doubt it'll work) one of the K'Nex blasters?

What exactly did you do to get 102fps with the stock barrel length in the drum. Was that with the accufakes? I upgraded and reinforced the shit out of mine and only got 85fps. I was like well shit, I wasted a stick epoxy putty and a syringe of epoxy the stop the blaster flexing to stop just to get a 10fps. I can get it to catch a k26 but because the bases of the spring aren't flat it turns the spring slightly out of alignment with the catch just won't. So I when with a double spring. Still 85fps though. Was gonna try BuffDaddy's PETG barrel extension method.
Centurion k26 with the long prime might be difficult but probably worth it, stupid idea but k26ed centurion singled to an elite dart Btw love your vids these videos are really helpful i got into modding because of these
which will be better when modded with spring upgrade which one would be better between a magnum superdrum and a turbo advance ? (without killing itself)
He man, little question for you. I have 2 mtb hellcats and a rhino as a pusher in a rapidstrike. Only problem is that I dont now what kind of MaH I can put in it. the clostest what I can get is 1300MaH or 900 MaH. What would you choose?
Looks like you got to play around with the Zuru X-shot Turbo Advance before me! Have they contacted you on Facebook about distributors in the U.S.? Because they said they would messsage me with U.K. distributors, stockists, release dates, etc... Still nothing. A bit off topic, but I just bought myself a Roughcut 2x4, I know the gearing will shred with a pair of K26's in there, and removing the AR's just turns it into a 2 foot range, 8-round shotgun, so what upgrades would you do? I have some Firestrike/Strongarm/Mega Cycloneshock, Triad amd other misc upgrade springs, I know I have at least 2 Strongarm 6kg springs a 7-8kg Blasterparts Strongarm Spring kit, a Mega Cycloneshock 7Kg spring, a couple of Triad 4-5Kg springs and some odd stock springs, including catch springs lying around. Any ideas?
Excellent ....(in a Monty Burns internal voice) I actually love the original Roughcut grip, but it might be a future option when I have a couple more, to make one into a tactical shotgun, like yours, with a direct priming system, as I rarely use slam-fire.
Was waiting for this vid. Thanks Cap, but my question is twofold. 1) Seeing as how it wont take a k26 without massive reinforcement to the priming mechanism, is it also unlikely that it would take a k25, given they have similar compression strengths? and 2) I dont suppose you could give the dimensions of that second spring that you put in there could you, please? It was a tad vague, and I have been waiting for this episode to see if I could upgrade my turbo advance. Cheers mate, and thanks for the great vids.
It might be able to take k25? I have no idea the relative strengths. I do not have the dimensions. It was the same length as the stock spring but fit inside it. I think it was a tek6 spring.
Hey Cap. would you be willing to do a mod video on getting the turbo advanced to fire both barrels at once. I would totally be willing to send you one that I have to test with, I have four of them. It is one of my favorite springers.
I had not. I looked it up. My caliburn currently his 192 with k25. I have no idea what it hits with k26. If k14 is even stronger it would be of no use to me and none of the wars I go to allow anything over 200fps.
Did I not say that in the video? I probably didn't. Obviously it could but that much modding is beyond the scope of these episodes and frankly, given the size of the plunger tube and the poor design of the cylinder, I don't think it is worth it.
