One thing I noticed with the shell strike, it is possible to load it from the front without ejecting the shell, the question come into why you would do that but never the less you can front load it. (Edit: I typed this immediately before you said it in the video, nice job on noticing it too)
Here comes the suggestion: regenerator. And also too bad the spring upgrades didn't improve much. Could you motivate Luchathor to make some videos of his work or just feature them in your vids? I really want to see this shellstrike of his
Informative and interesting video as always, Captain. Thank you! But can the RU-vid algorithm take a K26? And more to the point, if Luke takes (or is forced to take) a K26, will he provide more words?
I've triple sprung my Trilogy, and I get upwards of 50-65 flat and 75-85 ft angles shots and is an absolute terror when I use it battles. And it's funny, because it's a triple sprung, triple shot, Trilogy. Lol
@@laptopcat6673 I believe one of the ones I used was an old buzz be spring and then just a dinky spring I had as extra. It was just enough to do what I needed it to, and it just made the joke better with three springs in a Trilogy blaster. I still have it to this day
For anybody looking to upgrade their shellstrike i found that you can double up the stock spring with a falconfire/sharpfire spring. Its a bit tricky though. I tested 10-15 shots from it opened it back up and found no stress marks but ill have to wait to see if it breaks
Am I the only one that thinks of a dog that just heard something interesting when he suddenly stops and says ""Train!" every time a train goes by? Like the dog that goes "Squirrel!"
@@CaptainXavier thought you would of said black and orange but Im honestly even happier you said that, if your going Orks go deffskulls because blue is da lucky colour, either that or yellow to make big explosions
Seeing this, I think XL would be a good choice. Have a bunch of shells with all the different ammo types and just pop them in and fire. Like a true shotgun
I've only met him a couple times so I don't know him well enough personally to verify that. But he definitely has a lot of crazy goofy fun in his videos!!
cool. Next time you have a bunch of kids visit, let them paint some targets. You could also make some silly ones to shoot at too. Thank you for sharing
You're realistically only losing about 2 inches off the barrel. So if you're only chopping the barrel, probably not Werf. If you're chopping the stock though, you might as well chop the barrel.
Yes I know what you meant by "sawed off." What I am unclear on is how you are measuring "worth." What value do you think that would create and what are you comparing that value against to determine if it is "worth" it?
If you painted the chellstrike ds 6 IT would works as a flare gun. Maybe with a Tiny bit of 3d prints and modding to make the chell outo eject. Note hé later says walcom already did this
When I added a random spring to my shellstrike I almost tripled the range. If you only want a tripple shot pistol the air restrictors are very easy to remove. Do you think a shellstrike with an upgraded spring and air restrictors removed would benefit from brassed shells?
You might get better performance out of these if you brass the shells. They have this really annoying air release hole near the bottom of each barrel. Problem shell is two molded components, and the hole is on the joint of those two parts. In other words: you cant just tape over the hole: theres no good way to get in there. I have the feeling that it would perform loads better if those barrels were fixed. Also, you can get a good upgrade in the trilogy if you combine the stock spring with both stock springs from a roughcut. Thats what i did and i noticed an increase.
I do recall in an earlier video when you put in a stronger spring into one particular blaster it made the blaster worse in terms of range due to some mechanism it had
Have you thought about making the pistol into a master-key? Like making it upside down and somehow getting the trigger mechanism flipped upside down, if that can even work EDIT: I spoke to soon...
Hi Cap, I'm 11 years old, and I'm a lefty (like you!). I'm wondering how hard would it be for me to pull the lever on the Shell strike with my index finger. Thanks! Edit: I'm very disappointed in Hasbro for only putting the lever on the left side...the Knock out had it on both!
Ok, thanks! I'm looking for a fun (doesn't have to be practical, just fun) little blaster under $15 to add to my collection, I was considering the Shell strike ($10 at Walmart), and the Buzz bee blow blaster. Unfortunately, the Blow blaster is strictly a Dollar General exclusive, and the nearest GD to me is 60 miles away :( I did find on one Ebay, $4 plus $4 shipping. But it's supposed to arrive on Jan 13, so that was a no go. Shell strike it is, then. Edit: I'm not a stranger to Hasbro making right handed blasters, I run a modulus mediator as my primary in my springer load out. I've figured out a reload tactic for that...
Fingers crossed that nerf makes a double barrel shotgun that takes these shells, like a beefed up version of the barrel break, if only for the "this is my Boomstick" lols. Something something Algorithm Bangarang
I gotta do a shotgun master key, sledgefire with a shell strike under it, underbarrel shotgun on a shotgun, and maybe a load out! Primary: Trilogy Secondary: Sawnoff sledgefire Pistol: shell strike
@@CaptainXavier yeah, I do feel that I would be possible to make trilogy shells cross compatible, would either be a whole new design or a lot of sanding and what not
I'm unable to see the targets move when shot at your range. Do you think you could get a cheap gopro and set it close to the target, either on the ground looking up or on a tree looking down?
Hey, just wondering something about the shells. Do the shells that came with the Trilogy fit in the Shellstrike as easily as the ones that came with the Shellstrike? I got a Shellstrike and a couple of shell refills recently and noticed that the shells it came with fit in way easier and are a slightly lighter shade of orange. I'm wondering if the Trilogy's original shells are more like the refill shells or the Shellstrike's shells.
I'll probably be doing the mod that luchathor did with a spring upgrage and buying the 3d printed shell to make it shoot mega so I could switch shells when I need to take down super zombies and also have a front loading shotgun.
where does Luchathor post his mods? Discord? Chris Cartaya said Luchathor stuffed a Longshot plunger tube into his HC-E pistol and I kinda want to see it.
Only issue with the shellstrike is those darn 3d printed shells dont really work, (at least the one I found on thingiverse) the dart fit seems to be a SMIDGE too tight but meh oh well XD
Could you please do an adventure force double fire, break action shotgun review in a K26 video? I've been wanting a good k26 double shot gun for a while and have had no luck, thank you!!
I feel like these DS blasters won't take much improvement from heavier springs because of the AR's which also aren't removable because they're smart AR's...well they are but pointless to take em out.
@@CaptainXavier I was trying to make a shotgun pistol I succeeded but when I was cleaning my room, I accidentally threw away the plunger system, do you know of any way to get a replacement?
@@CaptainXavier I will try and find a triad then thank you. With the triad that now doesn’t have any parts, I shall put it on to a fire strike. Also, do you know of any upgrade springs when I try to the first time it wouldn’t fire, a dart it still caught and released it
