Elon recently spoke openly about his ketamine use and how it helps restore his brain chemistry. Let's remove the stigma around Elon Musk's treatment to serve his investors better. Drawing from both the latest research and personal experiences supervising over a thousand ketamine administrations, we explore how this powerful medication can impact creativity, cognition, and psychological well-being. We also address common misconceptions about ketamine, its historical medical use, and the concept of neuroplasticity which plays a crucial role in how ketamine may benefit individuals dealing with psychological pain and cognitive deficits. Join our live Q&A session at the end of the video to get your questions answered!

I've been taking IV Ketamine treatments for 18 months and there's not one thing that I don't like about it. I suffered from Narcissistic Abuse for decades until 2019. My life was in shambles until taking IV Ketamine. I live in Tennessee close to Nashville and my Dr. is an Anesthesiologist. I've had nothing but good experiences with improving my depression, Anxiety, OCD, improving insomnia, etc. I'm feeling like I'm human again. Great results every time I go. Feel free to ask me any questions. It's the beginning of a new life for me. God bless everyone!😇🙏♥️

You are not alone I had Covid-19 I was in an induced medical coma. I remember what was going on around me, even though I was in a coma. I remember it’s like I was awake only in my mind. When I screamed nothing would come out I was on a ventilator. When I did wake up I had anxiety it was a fear like a bullet coming at me. I still have PTSD with my Physician.

This sounds like my experience with sleep paralysis. It was terrifying, and I felt awake in my mind and aware. I was screaming but nothing was coming out. It only lasted a few minutes but felt like an eternity. I can not even imagine being stuck in that state for days or weeks. Being on a ventilator on top would be torture. I'm ADHD and ASD1 and I don't feel like I need to be "fixed" either. I wish life was easier, though. It's tough to focus on anything I'm not interested in, so school was rough, especially in the 70's and 80's where kids like me just slipped through the cracks. My mom knew I was very different from her other two kids and she had no idea of what to do with me. I rarely leave the house because looking at people and having them look at me is too much. I'm too sensitive, and all the cruelty that's out there is something I just don't want to experience anymore. I was going to try Esketamine, but the more I've read about it, it kinda scares me. Ketamine seems so much safer. I just don't want to make anything worse. I think people should really do their homework if they want to try Spravato. Read about the clinical trials, and all the positives and negatives. I'm really bothered by some of it.

@@beefstew4698 Well, for starters, the FDA pushed through the drug after 5 out of the 6 efficacy trials failed. They were only 4 week trials instead of it's usual 6-8. In those trials, 6 people died. I believe 3 were from suicide. One of the suicides said they had never had suicidal thoughts before. There have been a lot of people who have said Esketamine has been a game changer for them, though, so you just have to do a lot of reading and decide if you think you'd be ok with some of the risks and side effects. I don't believe there's been any deaths associated with Racemic Ketamine, not in the clinical setting anyway. There's still risks with it, but it seems much safer. The Esketamine is a nasal inhalant, and you don't get the exact same dose in each treatment. It's a much stronger form of the drug, too. With ketamine, it's exact.
@jaeljade3609

@@beefstew4698 I forgot to mention that since Spravato has been on the market, there's also been a 147 deaths from march of 2019-January of 2023. 7 of those were suicides. That's very concerning to me.

Its actually remarkably cheap, what drives the price up is the regulatory overhead and the markup charged by for-profit clinics looking to squeeze as much money out of desperate people as possible. The cost of doing such treatment at home, by yourself means that it is very affordable for anyone who is willing to go that route; you can obtain pharmaceutical grade K from darknet markets super easily and it can be self-administered safely. Of course to do so would technically be mildly illegal, though, for anyone who is suffering in despair arguably it is worth it.

I had medical Ketamine IV over a week . I was cognitively uplifted . I made notes , listened to great resources online to discover helpful information. I rested without pain, I also had conversations with family that wouldn’t have happened without the support of the medicines effect . I was so productive from my bed . After treatment I’ve had ongoing uplifted effects and have been able to make better life decisions. I was able to stop self medicating with alcohol completely after treatment. This was self led change . I knew I used A to deal with pain . I have a lower chronic pain score now by two points . My flares that are short lived are the same but having lower overall chronic levels has helped me deal with spikes without using alcohol. A huge win! I could go on . I was in the highest dose in treatment and benefited immensely, I hope to have further success with another treatment within a suitable time period . Thanks for your sharing of this information. It’s still a stigmatised medicine , if I mention it . People refer to the recreational use and horses , lol . I’ve had to educate people and vids like this are my source of validation. Changing lives and the world. ❤

After a non nerve sparing RPLND, after son’s second testicular cancer he had maxed out pain meds in ICU. I asked Dr. to do something for my son. He was injected with ketamine and said he had gone to “Mars.” It certainly worked as he stopped complaining of pain in the context of a very invasive surgery. I’ll be calling soon for an appointment for my own situation.

Dr mentioned for people to post if they have been a slave to themselves, mentally by means of PTSD, depression, etc. I'm raising my hand on all of that. I have been for a very long time, and at least I'm aware of the root of it all. But it's a battle, another battle I should say, because I look at it as a weakness. So, all these years, I'm always thinking somehow that I can help heal myself. I have thought that after all these years, there must be medicines that can help, I'm just leary of the 'psych med' connotation (if that's the right word). This, I'm here for the ketamine topic.

TEST QUESTION: Can Ketamine raise tetrahydrobiopterin? Why I am asking? A rare haplotype of a GCH1 gene, which changes its function, may be linked to all the topics addressed in this video (pain tolerance, trauma, high IQ, unexplained suicidal depression). The gene's malfunctioning is linked to dystonia, low nitric oxide, endothelial dysfunction (and more). Can Ketamine aid mitochondrial repair? If yes, then I must write to you and share my knowledge.

Sadly, periodically, I have gotten triggered into being highly reactive when feeling unusually vulnerable or feeling emotionally threatened. It can happen so fast, seemingly out of nowhere, but I believe it's rooted in some kind of fear. It's a horrible feeling - like driving downhill in a car with no brakes. Where otherwise, I'm a very reasonable person, who has access to tact and logic, in these reactive instances I know I'm reacting way over the top and afterwards I'm left feeling so sad for it ever having happened and not handling it better. It leaves me feeling like I'm broken somehow. And I've lost a special person in my life because of an occurrence like this coming out of the blue where I assigned him a motivation for a choice he made that he claimed didn't belong to him. It was an unfair depiction of him and too much for him to deal with. So it can be an isolating feeling. So, no, you're not alone if you also do this. I wish I had more space between stimulus and response in those types of moments. I have learned a bit about reflecting back on the initial feelings I was feeling prior to my reactivity so I'm thinking I may be able to catch myself before I react, but don't really know if I'll be able to. And I am able to excuse myself to deal with my reactivity to ask for time to sort things out perhaps before doing irreparable damage. And eventhough I don't necessarily namecall or swear at the person, my reaction is to a perceived ill motivation on their part, which, of course, is like accusing them of something they did not do. And that's no fun. The three times it's happened in recent years is when I've felt emotionally threatened in some way. So what I realized is it's happened with people who are not able to be present with themselves emotionally, and therefore, not emotionally present with me. And I'm not blaming them. It's just important for me to realize that others at times are not always going to be able to contend with their own feelings and emotions, let alone mine, nor perhaps should they have to. So it's on me to take the best care of me and not leave that in another's hands. The problem is I don't feel competent to be able to take care of me. I'm at the mercy of my disability insurer right now so my income is limited. My quality of life has deteriorated. I've cut my costs way down and have very little-to-no luxury expenditures. I've had to get a reverse mortgage on my house which is eating up the equity in my house every month, but with my limited income it's the only bank loan that I could qualify for. My nervous system has been knocked out of whack. Too many traumas in my life. Too many threats to my life in childhood. Living too long in survival mode as an adult. Lost overall control of my life. Now dependent on a 3rd party insurer due to a diagnosed neurological syndrome. It's a powerless feeling. I do feel "stuck" as you mentioned in your video. I also am the person who thinks I want to do "this" or "that," but often don't do either. It would be so nice to feel competent and productive again. I've lost overall control over the organization of my house. I used to be orderly and more social. I'd like to start a women's group and maybe a business or develop some ideas I have or write a book, but it's like there's an invisible mote between me and those things or they only exist outside of my reach. Ha! I guess I ought to be asking you to reserve a seat for me at your clinic! 😂 I started this entry in order to help someone else feel less alone in this struggle, and ended up helping myself realize my present state maybe isn't my fault and maybe not permanent, and that there's maybe something I can do about it afterall. 🤗 Thank you for this video and for laboring to explain emotional dysregulation in so many ways. You helped me to understand myself better.

Hello there 👋🏻 Everything you described sounds somewhat similar to what I go through on a daily basis . Which of course isn’t fun at all and can be frustrating as well as exhausting.. PTSD can trigger most of what you mentioned as I too have these issues.. OCD is often triggered by stress of life ! When everything gets too much it can send us into overdrive and our body and mind feels overwhelmed.. in other words we are burned out. I feel fear is the worst culprit in our behaviour especially as we get older it gets worse if nothing is done about it . I know what it’s like to be hard on yourself for overreacting when in certain circumstances and you wish you had said or done things differently and then you sit contemplating for the entire day what you could or should have said and done and that just adds to all the other stuff you have stored up in your already overcrowded brain .. all I know is we are humans and we are not superhuman nor robots . We will be scared at times and have stress too but to manage them we need to make a plan for how we can help manage these triggers . Procrastination is one of the things I have been quite good at doing as I’m not sure am I or am I not going somewhere or putting off something at the last minute.. This is all part of Anxiety. We are human and it’s not expected of us to be perfect at everything or all the time . I hope you can find a way of reducing your anxiety and find comfort perhaps in doing things that make you happy and comfortable. And you are not alone .. there’s a lot of us who feel what you mentioned . Wishing you good health and peace of mind . ❤️

I agree with straight talk. I am in the same situation even though I worked in the medical field. That is why I only mentioned a bit of my experiences , I don’t want to traumatize anyone else by explaining anything specific too much on social media. I find also another scientist RU-vidr’s perspective to be very interesting because he is engaged in handling studies of what causes those with chronic pain to stay in that cycle, specific physiological ( functional) effects and what he is specifically working on so he tries to explain higher level knowledge in a way that helps others to understand what happens to us neurologically. His name is Jarred Younger. Just like Dr K he doesn’t diagnose but explains why our pain stays triggered or on a hair trigger and certainly emotional triggers affect those who are more sensitized than if the combination wasn’t occurring. He does talk about holistic medicine that he has done the research on and I am extremely excited about his work with dextramethotrexate and his grants. You are a very sincere and kind woman and in a world where so many are absorbed with their own issues and a very kind soul. We definitely need more kindness which I feel the definition is to lend someone our strength instead of reminding them of their weaknesses. 🤗

❓ Question❓ I've been dealing with chronic back pain for 9 years (after being run over by a car!) Found a cptsd diagnosis right after that, then celiac diagnosis, now possibly an arthritis diagnosis around the corner, not to mention anxiety. I've tried a multitude of traditional and eastern philosophy treatments, I'm now on two medications for pain and another for insomnia, as well as daily yoga and some easy walking, and my pain still isn't managed. I live in Canada 🇨🇦😊 Would i be out of line to ask my pain specialist directly for ketamine therapy? I don't want to be perceived as drug-seeking (sometimes that can lead to an even harder time finding assistance from med pros), but relief from daily pain levels usually 4-6 out of 10 on the pain scale is something I'm dreaming about. How can i advocate for myself for different treatments without being perceived as drug-seeking by the professionals i meet along the way? (Our local ER has a reputation for being quite nasty when treating pain, perhaps because our local addicted community frequent it for a warm bed)

Ketamine used during and after brutal knee surgery was a total game changer for me. When I came round, I had no pain, no life long depression, I was clear as a bell and felt I could rule the world. After my second knee replacement, a pretty,ditzy young female anaesthetist didnt read my notes and gave me fentanyl. It did absolutely NOTHING for pain, depression or my mood except make me suicidal. Fentanyl is so subjective. For some, it gives a hit, for me, I wanted to jump out a window. I had to fight to get back on ketamine for 24 hours, which calmed me, took away my acute pain and helped me get back on track. Unfortunately, in my part of Australia, ketamine is not readily available and not well understood by pain specialists or psychiatrists. Ketamine is a blessing. If I could have it regularly, I would. My life would be very different from the existence I live now.

I'm not questioning your knowledge of ketamine but if it is so useful for anxiety, depression,bipolar depressive disorders etc why has ketamine not being used routinely for these conditions? I know in South Africa the use of methylphenidate extended acting is used in ADULTS for depression and other other mental disorders. The belief is that people my age (64years) had been accessed at school as children are nowadays,we would have been put on methylphenidate then but instead we have been on SSRIs,SNRIs etc which usually cause deadly loneliness, which can be suicidal.

The late Emilie Conrad Da’oud was the creator of Continuum Movement, a powerful meditative process, using breathing, nonlinear movement, and sound as a way to stimulate and energize the body, followed by being in a state of open attention. Continuum cut through the habitual, mechanistic experience of the body/mind to allow for a new, more expansive experience of embodiment.. Emilie spoke often about plasticity and the laying down of new neural pathways. The energetic field created when doing Continuum, particularly in a group, was a powerful way to open oneself to a truly healing experience.

He said PROPANALOL, NOT "Propofol"! That's an oral medication. (Well, typically, idk if there's an IV version, I guess prob so 🤷‍♀) but I imagine the answer to his question would be quite different referring to an oral medication. I'm kinda curious myself as I was on propanalol for awhile for my anxiety and I was wanting to go back on it but I don't remember having that effect from it.

If ketamine enhances Cognitive Function then I’m all in ! 😂 great video Doc ! Oh and ignore the ignorance coming from some comments. ❤
@ninner196
@ninner196 2 месяца назад
Not all comments are ignorant. There are those of us who are physically debilitated beyond what a person could wrap their minds around and yet have the knowledge of science and methodology and even understand the one who said he had A Question. If you read his comment and understood exactly what he was asking the doctor as some of us do then that would make not certain comments that you call “ignorant “ in fact not ignorant. I struggle just like many others and have studied but I certainly in a literal way feel for the pain everyone goes through and not just my own. This format is for all to express themselves and just because I did doesn’t make me ignorant. I don’t “fall in love” with ideas. I am a reasonable person who doesn’t put anyone on a pedestal including medical doctors whom as this doctor even says they “practice medicine.” We live in a world so so very desperate for a cure that it kills people emotionally and physically. If the doctor was personally offended with my comment I am sure that he recognizes the limitations of our field wholeheartedly.
@Straighttalk95

@@ninner196 golly ! You took a lot of time to write this long statement. Though I appreciate your effort and time in writing this and expressing your opinion I feel you have completely misunderstood what I meant by some ignorant comments, I had come across some comments which were very unkind and rude towards Dr.Kaveh . Nobody is putting anyone on a pedestal and nobody is undermining those with serious health issues , I too am battling with my own health issues which have debilitated my health so I would never patronise anyone, however there has been some silly people here who have solely come for the purpose of being disrespectful and rude . I feel you have just taken my comment out of context and it was not directed upon all just to those who I felt needed to be made aware that their negative attitude is unwanted here .
@Straighttalk95
@Straighttalk95 Месяц назад
@@ninner196 I’m very much aware of the decline in care and cure for a lot of health issues for most of us it’s quite the same . I do sympathise with you and I can empathise too as I know how difficult it is for majority of us to get the right help , and yes most of our loved ones have sadly lost their lives due to neglect and lack of care/treatment/ support etc … but there are some doctors that aren’t all too bad and unsympathetic, I’m sorry you have had a rough experience with doctors but I hope for the future you have a better experience with doctors . 🥼

I think you could have made your point but not in that manner. Perhaps one needs think before uttering their words out loud ,because words can hurt others even if one may think otherwise. Dr.Kaveh runs a ketamine clinic which is why he is so passionate about this topic . I know you found it to be boring and said he’s trying to sound like a world renowned guru but if I can be frank ? Since watching his videos I have learnt so much which I never knew about before , you may not think so , and that’s fine but it’s how you said what you said that really did not sound pleasant. Our family would listen as the shrink would add comments like, "this oones a real nut" dr eduardo delaflor My x, the shrinks son, bought a laser. My son wanted his tattoos removed. His father strapped him in the chair and turned the laser to high, burnt ALL HIS SKIN. He needed skin grafts, but didnt get them. The skin kept trying to grow, but it would rot and the process would start over. It took 5 years to finally heal as much as it could with massive scarring.
