Don't you have to be basically broke before Medicaid will pay for a nursing home? Something like you can keep the house, one vehicle, and not much cash? If you have any assets they must be liquidated before Medicaid kicks in?

No. You are allowed that stuff to get Medicaid but they don't tell you they are coming for your house after you die.

Hi. Is Nevada a state with a long arm? I'm worried because I just found this out that they can take the house. I had cancer 6 years ago and I'm sure the bill is high. I put my adult son with disabilities as joint tenant in October 2018, but it sounds like they can still put a lien on half the house. Any advice would be appreciated.
