Can't tell you how many times my husband has walked in on me while I'm screaming, "Put the fucking baby down!" 😂 One work around is to play as the infant, because the parents will do what the babe wants. (Which sounds like a bad plan, but ya know, Sims.)

I know sims games are designed to help people escape their real life and all that. But playing sims has made me truly appreciate all the mundane things in daily life, even challenges. I love little moments with my kids and husband, making meals for them, chatting and just looking at their faces as they age. I like interacting with my coworkers every day and tidying up my space. All the small things that we just take for granted seem like precious moments, so playing sims is less of an escape and more of a study on how to appreciate day to day life. It's a blessing to be alive.

As someone who grew up on both Cesar Milan and Nanny shows, I never thought to put the two together 😂 I suppose you do kinda treat the kids like dogs 🤣

Love this lets play. I swear whenever I have a toddler and and infant potty training is like the most important skill as it keeps my sim from having to manage diapers for them both. But kinda realistic. Also just because toddlers can go to the potty, doesn’t mean they will. Infants almost always reset to the floor during the loading screen when you leave the lot and return. So annoying. (Less realistic).

If the patent is just standing around with the bb after u cued somthing it because there waiting for the infant to finish whatever there doing. So if u click on infant they might be watching somthing or crying etc. just cancel what there doing and the parent shud then do what u asked them to do.

tlc apartments are very annoying 💀 i resorted to using the debug feature to get rid of mouseholes in one of my sim’s bedrooms, the stinky vent in the hallway, and the roach infestation in the living area because it was all so inconvenient and aggravating how frequently it caused issues for my sims and the landlord did nothing of substance to help in the longterm lol i only kept the fuse box in the kitchen and the leaky pipes in the bathroom because it helped to increase my sims’ handiness skills. i ended up starting a new game and moved into an apartment that had the gnomes fixing stuff overnight and it’s so much better

Just going ahead and making a comment before I get all that deep in the video. THIS is what I wanna know, cause I swear with the scientist career and my Sim also being a loving dad to a toddler and infant boy, he's just exhausted all the time! (He does have his ghost ex husband to help but it's not the same). Most of the time I am just keeping the household's needs up. However, it is very important to my story that he visit Sixam as one of his children is part-alien, which iirc requires you be level 10 in the scientist career. It does make me wish I had figured out children and not to mention Get To Work sooner! Generally I would advise they're fairly advanced before adding any children. I also have Parenthood and Get Together for that full experience.

Funny timing - I am kind of doing this in the extreme version right now. :) (100 baby challenge, rags to riches style with all lot challenges/haunted house - and they all have to reach a lot of milestones - I am on 2 toddlers and 1 infant). The first few promotions went fairly easy, but after that, it was *slow*. I do think the first carreer levels would be faster going in, and choosing 'work hard', but after a few levels, the work from home may actually surpass that. The thing is, you have until the next morning/work day to complete the tasks - not just working hours. But you only see your progress then, not at the end of 'working hours'. And you seem to get about the same performance boost every day. Meaning the higher levels would probably be faster working from home. :)

Kid I used to babysit would throw up randomly for no apparent reason. We called him a “recreational puker.”
