The condors being able to sorta pop camo leads reminds me of how the wizard can pop purples with its fireball attack, but only with the splash and not a direct hit.

I love how the top-path nerf made the meg go from "extremely OP" to "basically useless"

Middle + Bottom to support each other very well. The short range does not really matter when the bird just brings the bloons back to the dino.

I like how the Beast handler crosspaths still compliment each other really well, even though they're barely actually related to one another(Pouākai getting the big bloons almost infinitely, megalodon getting the bads and cerams, and giganotosaurus helping with DDT's and stuns)

It would be cool to see a mod where you can infinitely fuse with the beast handler so you could have a micro raptor with hundreds of power

Pouakai should sometimes be targeted to minimize its flying time i.e., towards the center of its area, not just always to the first point in the track it can target. Longer fly time means slower attacks.

I think it's awesome that the beast handler resembles the bloon chipper in a lot of ways

They think the bloon chipper is too hard to make balanced but they added a tower that will move a bloon from the very end of the track to nearly the beginning of the track instantly. There is not a lot in BTD6 that really makes use of an overlapped track, but bottom path beast handler clearly breaks it.

Hey ISAB, great video! For me the pouakai technique that worked best against ddts was to give it full map range. First I targeted the drop-off location at the start of the small loop then when the ddts started leaving the bigger loop, instead of the pouakai chasing them I switched the drop-off location to near the entrance, but in the final lap. This helped because now the pouakai doesn't pick up the ddts but instead attacks them. Then when they got up to the final stretch I just moved the location to the top left of the pool. The main thing is that you need the pouakai to first stun and clump the ddts, then attack, then clump again.

Pouakaki needs a damage nerf, but a buff to targeting and/or flying speed. It's unacceptable that it tries to attack a ddt flying far away from it and just chases for so long. The targeting buff I'm mentioning is that you should be able to set limits to where the bird can fly (if it attacks a bloon and can't reach it, it should give up and attack the nearest bloon instead) or pick a location within range to pick up the bloons.

IMO the best beast handler is velociraptor, which is a candidate for the best tower in the game. 12/24 is very cheap (< $10k) and can one shot a group of close to 20 ceramics, allowing it to destroy 63, 76, 78, etc.

I just had an interesting idea for whenever, if ever, they decide to add a paragraph for the beast handlers, they make a chimera out of the prehistoric creatures.

I think beast handler + Moab glue will still be cracked, especially since Solver got buffed this patch anyway. Main problem with BH is DDTs can outrun the Pouakai after 150. Maybe with Etienne for camo, too.

SJB confirmed that the merged beasts are always better than the their separate beasts. He even had charts and everything. Also T-Rex is WAY less efficient than getting a bunch of Velociraptors.

I really wish top path got buffed. Its my favorite. When it was good it complemented the bottom path so well. Meg eats the big things and then the bird catches anything that slips by and feeds the meg

I do recommend spacing out the beast handlers for bottom path, not because of the target but so it has more range to fly in. the pouakai can either slap bloons with a tornado or pick up and drag bloons, they will slap either when they cant pick up bloons or when the bloons pass the bird target (forgot what its called), spacing out the beast handlers make it easier to slap the bloons allowing for better BAD damage and make it easier to bring bloons back to the Annihilation Nation or Dino District or Sauda Street or Start of track. Bird is good

Here's a tip btw, merge a single gyrfalcon to an xx4 beast handler and it gets +1 bfb pickup pierce. The base condor with 16/64 beast power can only pick up 1 bfb but with 1 gyrfalcon merge you can pick up 2. Also, merging t2s and t3s are only 30~$ and 60~$ higher per power point than t1. The t4 is very ineffecient however, but t2s are a good balance between effeciency and space. However in runs with a lot of space like this one with only beast handlers then just get the tier 1s. Also, the xx4 can actually pick up ddts if you give it an MIB

I have an idea for a CHIMPS MODE CHALLENGE: you have to buy and upgrade a USELESS FARM throughout the game. Ex: need tier 2 by round 40, tier 3 by 60, tier 4 by 80, and 2x tier 4s by round 100. Would be funny and challenge money saving!

you could use a 0-0-1 handler just above the 2 chairs for intel to get the big bird to see the ddts faster damaging them before a bit it would made it a bit easier (edit. cool content love it keep it up)

To minimize bird travel time, set targeting to first and place the marker as far forward as possible on the track. Alternatively, set targeting to close and place the marker as close as possible to the tower.

I think you forget that you can increase the power of every beast handler with up to 132 man. You could have handled 106 so much better that way

Giant Condor can't pop leads, it was the mid path that was able to pop them with it's splash damage. Even though it can't see camo, its splash still hits them.

To get a single T5 Beast Handler beast up to max power with the minimum number of beast handlers, you need 1 copy of the T5 and 5 copies of the T4. However, you can reach 131/132 by getting 1 T5, 4 T4s, and 5 T2s, which is the crosspath slots on the Beast Handlers required for the T5 and T4s required to get a different T5 beast to 131/132. This means that you can get two T5 beasts to 131/132 on a combined footprint of only 10 towers instead of the 12 you would need without crosspathing, and can add a beast handler with two tier 1 upgrades to get the full 132/132 with 11 towers instead of 12. If you wanted to get all 3 beasts to 131/132 you could have the crosspaths in a "triangle" merge pattern to get there on a footprint of 15 beast handlers, but you still nned to go to 17 to get all three to 132 power because you aren't allowed to get a 1-1-1 beast handler.

I suppose the bird is not good for merging just off of stats because it's much better to merge for track vision. Still, if it takes a while to drag a bloon back, it spends less time attacking. Speaking of which, you can have an intel merge a bit further from the back so it targets bloons about to leak instead of more front stuff in the front for the escapees to slip past while the pouakai is busy.

I really don't want then to need the birb because I really like it. If they did I'd imagine it would be a nerf to it's ZOMG stalling capability. It already can't handle too many DDTs (as seen in the video) so it does have its weaknesses

Adding a single guy for intel along the top earlier might have helped. There were a lot of deaths to camo cerams and DDTs that slipped by while the bird was busy grabbing something else. Giving it more time to see them coming would have fixed that.

I feel like Pouakai could synergize well with slowing towers, in order to keep it from chasing DDTs who are too fast and ruin the pouakai's potential.

Its sad that we will only have 2 beast handler appearances in the alphabet series. T = Tyrannosaurus Rex and V =Velociraptor Unless ISAB does a season 2 of the alphabet series

Bottom path was the best to begin with, Orca only was popular because it was bugged.

I wouldn't count multiple beast handlers as 2 tower chimps, as it would be like not counting village or alchemists

if you put the bottom path bloon reset point to the very end of the range the birds will pop more bloons instead of going back and forth!

I think the tier 5 middle path also needs a buff if it really is better to just spam tier 4s...

the pouakai chasing too fast bloons is definetly a weakness. still busted for that price tho.

the most cost efficient way to merge is actually with tier 3's. you get more power overall and its only around 100 dabloons more

The icon for the dinosaur on the beast handler is the dinosaur game dinosaur.

beast handler can also do a 2 megapops and even an all pops challenge

So, I tried wave 106 and, yeah, you can beat it with just a properly set up bot tier 5.

I think max condor is worth it if you use the most efficient beast merges (1st or second tiers)

If only he sold enough Rexes to get a Giganotosaurus, as I just checked and with decent timing the unupgraded tier 5 birb and dino can duo 119 easily.

i hate how the lamest path (the bottom path) is the most reliable, it hits every bloon type without boosts

Ah yes instead of using the mechanic that buffs the only tower that can reliably hit DTTs I will get more towers that can unreliably hit DDTs.

You should try a combo of two from: ascended towers or 5-5-5 or Superbuffed or any one of those two combos

My question is.. yyou keep saying 'un merging' is better. But the stat/damage bonus (like, maxed tier 3 bird).. gets damage boost, attack speed boost... and special effect. How exactly does that effect how 'powerful' is the tower. like say, 3 tier 3 birds.. or 1 tier 3 bird that has the 'special boost' active.

Anyone else think the middle path is actually not that good? I mean giganatosaurus leaks so much. It should be able to one hit a moab without making cerams. Just the fact that it wastes so much time two hitting moabs is kinda sad
