Thank you Muzamil for presenting people with actual knowledge of technology and cyber security. I have seen random people becoming self claimed cyber security experts with zero information about the background working of computer systems. That's the issue we have only bug bounty hunters who are busy in running system built utilities and changing parameters as he said, that doesn't make someone a hacker or security researcher. Happy to see talent like him in Pakistan.
Uber insightful! We need more guys like him. Cyber Security is definitely something we need to be prepared for as a nation. Good thing is that we have our agencies already having top hackers at their disposal and now more than ever, we have Chinese helping us fill the gaps in our defence and cyber warfare. Pakistan must take advantage of this opportunity and create a cyber army on the Israeli model.
@@sanatandharma8837 And we don’t lie like you. Go and read some history first and then come to troll. Every country is dependent on one another in this day and age. That’s called collaboration and tech transfer. I don’t think I have time to school you anymore on that. I let the people decide who is talking sense here.
I'm fsc student and I hardly understand 30% talk but unable to figure out that names associated with particular tasks that were happening. Mind blowing information. Thanks Sir 💗
Offensive Cybersecurity k bajaye we should train have a subject in school Cybersecurity Awareness… chahay offensive na hon but at least we can better Defend Cyberattacks
I am Information Security consultant myself based here in UK and this guy Masha Allah knows what he is talking about. He is an asset for Pakistan. He will have no limits in future Insha Allah.
Hello This is Sarah. I love your podcast have been listening to it for the last 2 days. I've always felt that informational shows have missing from media for a long time and your show has filled the gap in a very profound way. I had guest request for you. Please invite Hassan khan Niazi to your show. He will be a great fit and amazing guest. Would really love to have a response on this message. Best Wishes! Sarah Abubakr.
Wow, great job guys. For a layman like me in cyber security, this a great show. Keep up the good work! Very technical, but very informative and very inspirational. Please be safe and keep shining!
Sir I am from Lahore . I want to learn about cyber security but I don't know from where to start . I just recently cleared my intermediate . can you help me to persue in cyber security . I really want to get in this but there is no one to guide me . can you help me in this I will be very thankful to you.
can Pakistan Handle a Cyber-Attack? No. We the people in Cyber Security always use a term PPT which is people, process, technology. if any of these are missing then you are vulnerable. if your people are not good enough than you are vulnerable no Cybersecurity Solution or Technology will save you from being Compromised. We have seen in FBR, we have seen in National Bank of Paskitan, and many more.
He is a blessing for Pakistan that can actually help the nation to build a strong foundation for Cyber security. He is a national asset who should be protected.
Sabse pehle you need to understand whoever is in Cybersecurity is not necessarily a hacker. You need to start somewhere, so search for courses which can land you in a Cybersecurity Incident Analyst role. You dont need to be in offensive Cybersecurity to be in that role. From there you can decide that either you become part of a red or blue team. Jab pata chal jaye k offensive khelna hai ya defensive phir agay samunder hai k networks, on prem infra ya cloud ko secure ya hack karna hai Just for context im not in offensive but rather defensive security cloud technologies working with soc teams Best of luck
Thankyou. And another question is that due to some reason I'll transter my university campus and so i have a chance to transfer my BSCS program to BS CYS. What should i do?
In these days degree is nothing... You just need to have the skills... If you get Comptia Sec+ that is better than your degree. But of course focus on the languages you would learn. python, C, Java are your friend but that is only if you will be making a tool in the future. Most of my colleagues rely or Siem Soar solution with a knowledge of Kusto query language and you can land a good job in a respected SOC. Nobody cares how good you were in school just focus on the skills you need in real life.
This guy is really inspiring, his story is Somehow similar with my offsec journey, I also belong to a less privileged area (interior sindh), my family moved to Karachi back 2007, I Got my first computer Pentium 3 in 2006 and started with defacing sites back in 2008 and 2009 when I was in 9th class, Launched spear phishing attacks on my friends 😜, to know their secrets. Reversed windows 7 Update binary when I was in Intermediate, Also, At that time I was a hawker in my area, morning Hawker , night Hacker, Then I got seriously ill, for 2 years, my illness ended with a Chest surgery, this incident traumatized me for 2 years, But back in 2017, I started to get back to the track, and now I'm a renowned Offensive security consultant in Karachi, working for a multinational corporation.
i was thinking of assembly and operating system as a trash subjects as a developer whats matter for me what happen at the machine level after listening this podcast software updated successfully.
Okay so the guest pointed out that bug bounty hunting etc is not the way forward, so then what is. If a new guy wants to start where would he start, whom to connect with and like I said what's the way forward, what to do and how. Please do ask such questions too so that talented guy's out there can seek guidance and atleast take their first step on that track.
Not bad, but some concepts related to govt. And how things work on global scale and wht govt. Can do abt them is widely misrepresented. Still, a very nice podcast and enjoyed listening to it. Muzammil, if we want to approach this guy and enable him with an environment which can stop him in pakiatan, i believe it can be done, somwhow let me know how tht will b possible to reach him. Also enable him to b part of bigger picture and rather than envisioning only, let him b part of the day to day struggle within the govt. To fulfil tht envision rather than pak left behind in 2050. Looking forward. Thanks !
Aitezaz is a Gem of a guy with tremendous knowledge of Cyber Security. Hope to see him more successful in times to come. Our government is so unfortunate that it can't provide opportunities to talent like him which leads talent like him to go abroad and provide their services overseas. I also hope that he might do something for the youth to come and grow in this field also want him to build secure systems for our country. Great podcast
My favorite podcast. I would love to see an ethical hacking course from his side which can give preparatory knowledge to all aspiring ethical hackers. I hope he considers it. ALLAH kamyab kary
Thanks , by Far this one was one of the best. The best part was the Flux of information, when he was speaking , it was legit and to the point, what cybersecurity actually is. Really helpful and extremely informative.
Eitzaz mohsin is highly respectable in the limited pakistan's cyber security community. He is the only OSEE certificate holder in Pakistan. in simple terms it means, this guy can hack your system, server, iot and you will have no idea that he is there and he can see and do on that system whatever you can see and do :-D
You bring #1 Gems 💎, Never used to bother about Pakistan as most Ignorant people are on media. But you are the only one brings the gems out. Junaid Akram (Gangi Swag) & Asad Chai wala also doing very good job but there content is for general public. Your content is from top level people. Keep it up 👍🇺🇸
Happy to see someone paving road for new generation. keep it up Etizaz Mohsin. I wish there will be more pakistani hackers forum so noobs get expert advise. If anyone have knows any forums please post in comments.
Random blabbering. The only correct information presented was about certifications and that is it. Rest was all his point of view which was VERY LIMITED. Developing Nation states purchases off the shelf solutions for cyber security - the same way they do for military equipment i.e. F-16. Pakistan government has installed mass surveillance softwares some of which were procured from German companies. bug bounty hunters or security analyst main kafi frq hta h.
Finally someone said it. The problem with this podcast is that just to record two episodes every week the criteria of choosing guests is deteriorating gradually.
With due respect, the concept of 'system security' came a long ago before the internet & computer. In the early stages of wireless transmission things like intercept & decode were there. With the invention of computer & then world wide web, the concept of cyber security studies got more established.
What a Podcast amazing work Mr. Muzamil for having such a talent on your show. I believe such podcasts should air on the TV channels, the generation will follow if such content will be shown to them.
Pakistan’s pathetic private sector and disgusting education system will be its downfall Favoritism and referencing has been a malpractice for quite a while now
Muzamil, AQ khan himself i think said in one his interviews that he sacrificed a lot of money and luxury which he could have had in abroad for Pakistan so Pakistan did not paid him well as per his above statement.
