I definitely agree, I think BTD6 is a better game overall objectively speaking, but BTD5 has certain things I prefer and there's gott be a reason I've invested so much more time into this one than the 6th
@@DaBearz_34 i feel like though btd5 is not as balanced, the challenge posed by expert+ maps and mastery mode is super fun. The special missions, random missions and daily missions are also quite fun but that may just be me. i also find it satisfying when the super monkey’s plasma blasts get pierce capped by a giant rush of bloons and it pops them all so fast it looks like they arent even moving forward.
{villages have a full effect on road items placed in their range! "Road Spikes" and "Exploding Pineapple" are just towers that fire a weapon and immediately despawn, so they're affected by anything that a normal tower is affected by. so to optimize this challenge, you could use Monkey Fort villages to give the road spikes +1 pierce (which applies before pierce multipliers btw, which is good), plus even CTA to double their pierce lol. so long as the road spikes are placed in range of an active CTA ability, the spike pile will have double pierce, and the pierce doesn't go away when the ability ends cuz the spike pile projectile can't retroactively lose its buff. same applies to the MIB buff, though in this game, projectiles with Sharp and Fire (pops frozen) type damage will still be killed by leads even with an MIB buff, popping the lead in the process. still more reliable than pineapples though lol, so i'd suggest MIB'd road spikes for leads. 3/x Village for extra cash per pop technically also works... but farms are just better}
{oh, the discount buff applies too, though i'm not entirely sure if it ends up having an effect on Medium? prices are rounded to the nearest $5, unsure if it's rounded up or down or to the nearest 5, and the Road Spikes' $30 drops down to $27 with a Village buff, so that _might_ round down to $25? which would be a lot of saving in the long run}
{just tested it! the calculation is Base Price * Difficulty price multiplier * Village discount, rounded to the nearest 5. so for road items that means - Easy: Spikes $25 --> $25, Pineapple $20 --> $20. no discounts. - Medium: Spikes $30 --> $25, Pineapple $25 --> $25. $5 discount for spikes, no discount for pineapples. - Hard: Spikes $30 --> $30, Pineapple $25 --> $25. no discounts. - Impoppable: Spikes $35 --> $30, Pineapple $30 --> $25. $5 discount on both. another new discovery, if you place the road item in range of a village but off path, so that it snaps to the path outside of the range of the village, it'll still get village buffs since you placed it in range of the village initially.}
{OOH wait, MIB'd pineapples are actually quite solid bang for your buck, come to think of it. that's an explosion that can hit up to 40 bloons _and_ pops through black and zebra layers}
That is really insane how much the village can affect road items. I'm gonna have to really think a bit to wrap my brain around a strategy that maximizes the potential
I gotta comment again, i feel like ‘passive’ towers are towers that don’t deal damage, so the banana farmer and glue gunner (not its left upgrade path) would also be fine. I also think hard and impoppable will be relatively the same aside from the bloon speed and increased cost of the towers, such as the road spikes themselves or banana farms. Mastery mode on the other hand, not sure about that.
I was thinking about that as well, but I think affecting the bloons in any way could be considered as not being fully passive. But I also have to say, Hard Mode and especially Impoppable are definitely gonna have a much more difficult early game which might make it impossible to ever farm well.
@@PhenomixWhy don't you sell a BRF for the Republic and upgrade it back mid round every time? You only lose like 300 doing it cuz of monkey Lab and get a lot more than that
@@Phenomix I mainly play BTD6 but BTD5 has a place in my heart and watching videos of it is the best thing, I also would love some BTD4 videos as well once in a while
also the best way to win here with passives is by having the spike r-us factory cuz it makes spikes last 50% longer so it means it breaks more layer of bloons and u can keep spamming it like u did with auto clicker. After this when u farm make sure u get so many energy beacons and keep farming and then get MIB call to arms for that amazing boost and if u do that u win!
makes sense but if its hard, place road of spikes in the back with auto clicker set it right button where at the right button on pc u can micro it. I would make a video where I check if road of spikes with MIB pop leads.
Optimization possibilities: Down below agents you have a number "RBE: XXX" (where xxx means number). RBE means Red Bloon Equivalent. Knowing that you have e.g. RBE: 5000, then you need at least 500 roadspikes to deal with the round if there are no lead bloons that are immune. I dont remember whether you can increase amount of popping Power by Roadspikes besides by using monkey fort, but without any other circumstances roadspike is Worth 10 pops exactly (11 when placed under 0-1 Village). Monkey Village by itself offers 10% discount for every single Tower and upgrade in all towers in range of Village. This also affects Roadspikes (3$ saved each) and Pineapples (3$ saved each as well). Huge range Village offers huge advantages and placed just to upgrade farms from 3-x to 4-x upgrade is Worth placing nearby and then selling (few hundred bucks saved even if we dont consider token sellback value). If you build MIB Village (x-3 upgrade) your roadspike can pop leads as well without being forced to accurately place pineapples (chance to misplace pineapple and lose 22-25 bucks on doing so).
The Popping Power from the Monkey Lab actually does affect them as well, and yeah using RBE to estimate the amount of road spikes I needed to buy is something I was trying to do as well. Thanks for watching!
oh btw for hard mode it might be worth using an autoclicker/macro just to avoid breaking ur fingers, maybe thats cheating but like with the ammount of clikcing ur gonna have to do u will be in serious pain. a single ZOMG is ~1100 road spikes
1. Why do you care abou the farmer bananas? They dont pop bloons and since you use road spikes, they dont change the price or popping power needed for the round 2. Spam a row of pineapples, but more slowly. This is best for a series of leads if you cant time them properly
It just doesn't seem fair to have additional help, cause technically the glue gunners can also slow bloons without damaging them, same with ice. So I just drew the line more strictly so people wouldn't be annoyed lol.
At 3:40 the banana farmer’s position changed, so it shot a banana out. Though, the editing for the intro is fantastic. Edit: damn i need to watch the whole video before commenting, the bloon(s) likely didn’t hit the banana. (make a banana emoji)
I actually think it's good you noticed that, it shows my fans actually pay attention! In all seriousness, that happened because I was able to put down a pile of spikes quickly enough to pop the bloon before it actually got sent backwards by the banana peel, which happens a couple more times during the video lol.
@@Phenomixyou can also use the villages to discount 2-0+ farms, it certainly helps a ton when saving money. But, you didn’t need that. I doubt money is a problem, it’s mainly just the moab health and speed of the bloons (making it harder to time pineapples for leads) on hard, and the fact that there’s just a ton more bloons.
btd5 for me better cuz its easy to farm and u can get a temple by round 40. Also steam has free game passes here like double cash, bigger beacons and double cash is better here cuz it doubles the farms the cash generator while in BTD6 it doesn’t. also co-op for me is better here cuz its relaxing wnd even if someone leaves u still win but no rewards only from the track. Also this game is more effective to play. I actually like the monkeys in here more cuz there 2d models are cute like the ninja 4-0. Both games are great but for me BTD5 is better
Thanks so much for the superchat! And it is called Warzone Tower Defense, there are websites still hosting the game that don't run on Flash so it can work.
