I fried my USB port on my old laptop by blindly trying to plug in the auxiliary cord to the headphone jack. Instead I put it in the USB port and it sparked and fried it.

This is why i love this channel. He realizes maybe his idea wasn’t that great so he doesn’t stand for it. He decided to just cause destruction for the sake of entertainment and salvage the video and make it better than it would have been. And it pays off so well in the end.

12:12 just in case anyone else is wondering, that chip is called a southbridge and controls a lot of things like audio, your USB ports and expansion slots on the motherboard. theres also a northbridge that is connected directly to the processor. the northbridge is under the heatsink that tyler can be seen murdering at 11:45 lol

Your idea with the rubber band was much more interesting that killing the computer with 700V. You should have gone the extra miles with the rubber bands. You could have split your effort in several day. I'm disappointed ! Rubber bands - blow torch was the best out of 15min video.

You should have hit the capacitors with the 670 volts, they make a satisfying pop. (they're the little round cylindars - not sure how clued up you are on electronics parts). The blowtorch + rubber bands and the cola + sword were very satisfying :)
