The reason Showa Gojira is so underestimated is because of his goofiness throughout the movies of the Showa Era, it overshadows his actual strengths and capabilities. So I am so glad that this guy actually did some correct power-scaling. Thank you for this video! ❤
I feel like one of the reasons why Showa may not be in many debates is because he has almost no consistency in his feet's. in one movie he could be weak to lightning, in another he can be powered up by lighting, and in another he could only be weak to man made lighting In one movie he could be shown to fly, and then never fly in another movie again. also in most of his fight, he's usually not alone, meaning they can't all be fair to include. but if you didn't include them, then there wouldn't be enough full feet's to make a fair argument, you would only really have his number of Kaiju beaten be Anguirus, Mothra, Ebirah, Hedorah, Kumonga, MG2, and Titanosaurus. Which isn't all that many.
Maybe it’s just Showa choosing not to use flight in the other films, and the lightning is explained. He’s weak to man made electricity but natural lightning powers him up.
@@voyagerkamen1386 I mean ya, but he's shown to be weak to natural lightning in King Kong Vs Godzilla, and in Mothra Vs Godzilla the JSDF has to push there machines to 30 million volts (10% the power of a natural lighting bolt) and use a metal net to hurt him like Kong did in the last movie. Then in All Monsters Attack Godzilla is seen being hurt by Gabara's electricity, which only has an output of 100,000 volts, then in Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla he gets powered up by natural lighting which doesn't make sense, if he was powered up by natural lightning then he probably wouldn't have lost to Kong or Mothra, and also wouldn't have been hurt by Gabara. and also if Godzilla is just choosing not to fly in the rest of his movie, that just makes him look like an idiot, his very next battle was against Gigan and King Ghidorah, who both fly at Mach 3, and then Mechagodzilla who has a flight speed of Mach 5. Even if Godzilla couldn't keep up with them it would still be a better option for him to fly after them then slowly walk to catch up with them. it's just honestly annoying dealing with Showa
That's why, in these kinds of discussions, I feel like we should completely discount Showa. I like the movies, but they didn't seem to care about internal consistency, that wasn't a concern imo.

Kiryu will have better chances than any other, because of the absolute zero canon, it might freeze showa and then punch and destroy it. Though Showa is fast and can avoid it

There are several monsters on this list that would not fight Showa because of his heroic status. GMK Mothra, Baragon, Ghidorah as well as Kiryu are examples.
To be honest type one kiryu with absolute zero cannon monster x and Kaiser ghidorah are most likely the only kaiju that would a danger to Showa Godzilla everyone else would not even stand a chance

This is like if a birthday clown showed up to the MMA or WWE and just physically broke everyone. Size isn't everything when it comes to Kaiju apparently. I'm still on the fence as to whether or not he could win against monster X 100% of the time since that guy was pretty rough but everything else yes. Like run 100 scenarios of monster X versus showa Godzilla and I'm pretty sure monster X wins at least a handful of times.
@@kingkaijuboygodjira3116I do not think GMK has enough to be multiversal. The guardian monsters in stronger forms were beaten by ancient warriors and gkdzilla wiped the floor with the 2001 versions. Yes GMK is powerful but Showa is superior. I do not mean offense and respect your opinion
Ngl this content kinda fell off, the powerscaling has crept into a lot beyond battle analysis. As for a few points: 1. Lifting 90k tons- If this is the best Showa can do, then King Caesar is handily stronger, being able to easily kick Anguirus while midair, who is 60,000 tons. Imagine how easy it is to kick your standard soccer ball, would you say it would be completely impossible to lift a ball that's only 50% heavier than that soccer ball? By extension, since Anguirus can easily take such a strike multiple times without injury, he can just tank any physical strikes Showa throws his way with little effort. And then the kaiju that are easily stronger than Caesar like Monster X, Gigan, and Keizer Ghidorah could all perform this feat with even greater ease. 2. Garoga missiles- King Ghidorah being a more potent weapon doesn't automatically mean that he has more power than those planet-destroying missiles, if he was then it wouldn't have taken him several days to level Venus if he could supposedly instantly blow up planets. A nuke is stronger than a battleship's entire munitions supply, but can only blow up a single target while the ship can bombard towns, harass entire coastlines, land troops, and project its influence over a much greater range. Ghidorah is the battleship in this analogy. 3. Lifting = winning- Sure Showa can lift heavy kaiju, that doesn't automatically mean he wins against all of them. The argument works both ways, a majority of the FW kaiju and some of the other movies' kaiju could just as easily lift Showa who is only 20,000 tons, plus with their larger size they'd have greater reach and ability to manipulate Showa around without him being able to retaliate.
Well, a huge surprise! In spite of being smaller and goofier, Showa Godzilla clears the super serious, grim dark Millennium Era. If he accomplished this at such a small size, image If he was scaled up to Final Wars' size. Congratulations old man, you're still the King of the Monsters!
