It's crazy that only a few years ago you guys were just a bunch of teenagers messing around on Haggard and now you are traveling the world drifting with the best of the best! Glad you made it man I can see big things happening in the near future.
Pity it rained so much but I was honestly stoked to see you over here drifting after watching you for so long, hopefully you enjoyed enjoyed it enough to want to come back again and give it another attempt
Great video, Chris! Your perseverance is incredible and it's been so cool to see you improve your drifiting. And Matt, great editing as always! Keep it up, boys!
You're going to be a force to be reckoned with after some more time in comps and experience on those comp layouts. You're just wild enough to know when you need to balls-to-the-wall it and enough fear left in you that you're not gonna over-do it.
That was amazing, I've always wanted to see more content about drifting on sim, from the drivers' point of view, to get a better idea of what it's like. I've been at Assetto for 5 years and I know that the steering wheel and accelerator must be similar. And the Simulator sure helped you. Que volta boa cara
Sim drifting definitely helps at least in the slightest. I had never been on a track before, did the same what you've done, learnt a track in Assetto on sim before going to the track for real, only spun once on the first lap then was good as gold.
It was great to see you in mondello, you looked sick out there! I hope if LZ invitational comes back you’ll be back here next year! Was surreal seeing you ruddy big love from the Irish boi’s 🇮🇪🤙🏻
Didn't get to meet you yesterday but your driving against josh was great. The gear change on transition catches so many people out especially when your in a rhd car and not used to it. Hopefully see you back here at the next event
So hard without power steering in any car in any condition you did awesome man don’t get down on yourself at all looks like the skate wheel messin up your shifting tho ha
@@RicerMiata more than understandable, I’m sure it took a good amount of extra work getting that intro together. Was cool to see your setup a bit too. Have a good trip over there!
Will you come back to Ireland?? What did you think of it all? Hope you loved the place and the Irish car & drift scene we have alot to offer. You done well 👍
duude awesome. I designed my own metal rig and am gonna order all the parts when i come back from holiday. Those handbrakes are terrible, I would suggest getting either the sparco thrustmast er one that also turns into a sequential or getting the fanatec or moza handbrakes
you're still having trouble with the initial turn in. Turn in, turn away, THEN turn in again to overload the rear. You're simply smashing the steering wheel in one go, and then you lose front traction.
Brah that last lap was fire your driving has improved so much brah from the beginning till now soon u will be next lz and and the boys hard banging doors you need to go to Japan and go learn at ebisu
Wow mate,,upmost respect for showing the mistakes aswell as all of the good. Go for it fella and always remember,,,Enjoy yourself. I can't believe you are only about 200 ish miles away and it was too late to come over the water to say hello...Good luck dude..✌️👍🇬🇧
I ended up really liking this video. The intro on the sim was a bit slow but once it got going it was interesting. Can you adjust the surface stickiness so it acts like the track when wet? Watching the videos it seemed like the rain was going to determine who was going to come out on top more than the car did, Grants Z almost turned out to be the perfect car for the conditions. I think for it to be effective you really need to have the cars inputs to be dialed more than the track layout.
That sim will be clutch when you’re driving your own vehicles. You can try to set it up to the exact same setup & feel as your car does. It’s hard to drive a sim that’s not setup specific to the car you will be driving. Keep it up!
@@jamesbadham3872 do you watch his channel? Not a single one of those cars is competition ready. And when he says they are, he gets one or two laps before a catastrophic error which takes him out for the day at least. There’s a reason why bailey left.
@@morganbowen1802 The E36 has been pretty solid aside from crashing it. That’s drifting for you, you’re gonna wreck & break them constantly. His the one to show it & not make it seem like everything’s perfect every time.
Matt ,hi can you share the miata. I’m building 1 at the moment with 1.6 td04 turbo and parallel line I’m practicing on the assetto Corsa to get a feel be4 the real car. Thanks
RUDDY U DO THIS EVERYTIME BRO. U GO TO AN EVENT GET SUPER NERVOUS N WORRYING TOO MUCH THEN U EVENTUALLY GET CALMED DOWN N HAMMER THE TRACK DOWN. U GOTTA PRACTICE WHEN UR HOME BRO FRFR. DRIVE MORE STOP ONLY DRIVING AT EVENTS THATS WHY U ALWAYS BUGOUT BRO. KEEP GOIN BROO U GOT THIS UR NAME RICER MIATA.
I think if you were able to have the sim setup for right hand drive and have the same gear ratio so you shift at the same time then i think it would be helpful for muscle memory.
Weird question, what settings do you use for the Simagic Base and in Assetto? I have a Simagic Alpha and having issues with getting the feedback right when transitioning.
I was hoping you'd get in the comp. That rumble strip is what spun you, everyone that hit it spun. I guess you guys were going backwards on that track, which made you hit the hard edged side of the strip. Next time switch your shifter and handbrake on the sim......teach yourself to drive lefthand drive while learning the track.
Dude every time I skip a few videos for whatever reason. I come back to watch you and I am like why did I skip those videos. I honestly think you are such a rad dude and you have an awesome personality and I just love coming back to see you man. I hope you are doing well
