@Decrepit Flea48 Absolutely nothing wrong with enduring pain, but deciding that other people are being dramatic about it and making up weird fantasies about conditioning just because you didn’t have a bad experience is a serious flaw in logic
@Silverayne Hart I also have a background in psychology, so I know that you can’t just pull something out of your ass and say it’s true, you need to be able to back up your claims with empirical evidence. Can you link me to a single reputable source that has evidence to suggest that labor doesn’t actually cause people physical pain or is it literally just in your head? If it’s the latter, then it’s a fantasy like I said.
glitzyglam71200 Sarah's water broke during filming but the midwife was there and said it would be ok to carry on. Her contractions started soon after they had finished filming. She spoke about it in the last patreon web chat.
You would be shocked at what some women do while in labour (my sister went to the movies lol) and how many women don't even realize they are in labour because it's usually not instantly debilitating pain like Hollywood makes it seem.
+essengeebee wow how awesome love the song iv had 2 kids so i understand how labour pain feels lol first time i had no idea i was in slow labour and both times lost my waters and didn't know lol
+Tamaira Liverance If I could deliver so easily I think I could have had about 15 babies LOL.... I am a disaster in this matter and still had 3! That's why I admire so much the ones that go nice through it 😉
Sarah Blackwood you are an unbelievably strong and talented human being and certainly one to look up. Awesome cover guys, I'm gonna have to look up this Scott Helman bloke now, he seems pretty decent
spivvy111 I've actually been listening to his most popular stuff on Spotify for the last week, since he's gonna be supporting WOTE when I see them live in October. Consider me a new fan, I like the kid's stuff!
The Gaming Cuber- Gaming, Cubing and more! yeah it is - now that I've seen him live I will happily and proudly count myself as a Scott Helman fan. He was so down to earth yet very talented and original. Definitely deserves more attention!
That's one of the aspects about these that I absolutely marvel at. I can sing (somewhat) and drum (ditto), but try to do both at the same time and it *will* go pear-shaped. The coordination that all these guys have is astonishing.
Keep in mind that covering a song is really easier than writing it from scratch, even if sometimes the cover sounds better than the original and presents some originality too :)
+Jessica Stohr Every woman and every labor is different, but with both of my kids, the first few hours of labor were a piece of cake. Almost no pain until several hours into the contractions when the pain started becoming uncomfortable to the point where I needed to sit/lay down most of the time. So it's very possible that she was totally fine right up until pushing. :-)
Every time I watch these guys I can't help thinking "this is the largest gathering of super talented ambidextrous humans on the planet"! .... and I love it.
You don't have to be ambidextrous to play musical instruments. I wonder ... Do you only use your dominant hand while eating? Driving? You use both? But how?!?! Surely your no dominant hand is completely useless! Lol
"What's going on you guys, we hope you enjoyed that video. Little piece of information that you might not know is that I was in labour the whole time and that's where this guy came from" that's what she said before talking about other songs and stuff :)
Now THIS is what I call badass! Rocking the art/mother balance thing (yes, you CAN do both) AND bringing a tiny human into the world as you casually make a video... Amanda Palmer speaks far more eloquently than I about this in her book The Art of Asking. Both of you are so inspiring to me, and I really think that this Patreon thing is working! Thank you for your beautiful voices, weird and wonderful instruments and hope the littlest member of the group is doing well
+ikamts2 I'd be pretty surprised if they could isolate and auto-tune his voice in a live recording with multiple harmonizing singers in the background. (Coming from experience as an audio engineer)
Walk off the Earth hey fantastic music! but where can i listen to your reckoning song/one day cover which gianni and sarah and some of their clones played? ;) it is not on itunes or any other music service i think?! I really loved this cover ;)
This is actually way better than the original IMO - and that's really impressive! Considering the original probably used a whole team of sound engineers to get everything to sound right.
+Joseph Larson the song has absolutely nothing to do with heroin addiction.. it sounds like it may be about coke, but I can relate it more to a relationship w/ the nuances of how fucked up coke is. (if you ever done the shit)
Very beautiful!!! I wish everyone a fantastic, happy, healthy and Blessed Saturday!!! good weekend!!!Sweet greetings warm hugs and kisses for you all my dear friends!!!!Stefan🍀✌😍☀️! !
Sarah is amazeballs. I couldn't even think while I was in labor and this woman is singing beautifully & rockin' out. Daaaaang girl. Congrats on your new addition! :D
Scott's voice is fantastic. If WOTE makes no other contribution to the music world, sharing their limelight to bring other musicians to greater recognition is good enough.
You were in labour while doing this video? ok. you are officially Wonder Woman!!! Song is great, loved it. Ze baby is adorable. Congrats to you and Gianni.
Every cover they do is better than the original. I listen to songs I'd never heard if it weren't for them, then I listen to the original. Once. Then its back to WOTE. WOTE FOR LIFE!
Now im not saying Scott is actually using autotune or not, but... It is possible that he has the vocal control to produce the autotune sound. It's entirely possible to have that kind of skill to produce that kind of sound.
When this video first came out, I was near the end of my extremely toxic relationship. He had some pretty dumb and misogynistic views on women. But he hid it well most of the time. When I watched this video, he was in the room, he never cared about songs or things I liked. But at the end when Sarah revealed she was in labor the whole video, I was so excited and amazed at her strength and how beautiful the while thing was. He made the most disgusted look on his face and criticized her for putting making this video ahead of her baby. No matter how I tried to reason with him that the baby obviously was not in danger, and that labor can take a really long time, he was relentless. He always made me feel bad for the things I liked, or found ways to tear down any woman I looked up to. The guy was a real POS. But I escaped him and now looking back I can't believe I was able to save myself and almost 7 years later I am thriving. Never let anyone treat you badly, and never trust a man who hates women. Especially when they are good at pretending they don't.
My friend was listening to the original song... I went wtf you're doing search the walk off the earth one.. And I'm like look at that kid sick voice and the long hair man roary blues machine crazy voice .. And we're like whoaaa signing like craziess mofoss
I like to play a game while watching this video. I call it- When is Sarah Having a Contraction? It's rather hard to guess, she's got a good game face 😉
You guys are some cool cats...This got me singing for the first time in years. Actually brings tears to my eyes to think about. Thank you for this gift. Much love for you, be well.
These guys are the reason why I took up playing the piano, flute, guitar and many other instruments!!!! Walk off the earth is definitely my favourite band!!!
