I love how they don't talk about budget on this show (at least not publicly). Their focus is the client's heart, not her wallet.

It's because all the dresses are 2500 and under. 2500 is a very easy to achieve budget. I'm 90% sure they get the dresses for free for being on the show in this case, though. It's not like say yes to the dress.

They have no interest in breaking a brides heart by showing her a dress she can't afford. - Unless there's no other choice for some reason. They do occasionally offer discounts. But it is a business and they need to make money like the rest of us.

They do occasionally talk about the budget, but it's not showcased the way it is on SYTTD

They are not focused on budget, true. But the drama in this show is there without having to go to the budget. In other STTTD, the budget IS the drama. So when people complain about going over budget or even showing a dress over budget, they are being led by the producers on purpose.

I feel for this bride. I've lost 268 lbs, and as many times as I hear, "You're not f*t anymore," I just can't believe it. Sometimes I hold up a pair of jeans or a top, just knowing it isn't going to fit, and then it does and I'm still amazed. I don't know if the denial ever goes away, which really stinks because I wasted 57 years of my life being f*t, and now that I've overcome, it takes so much convincing for me to enjoy this new life.

She's a beautiful girl. I'm her mom's age so bear with me - there's something so sweet about her that it brings tears to my eyes to see her feel pretty. There's something about her face or her eyes that reminds me of a young Carrie Fisher. So special and completely unaware of it.

At the end, just before her wedding, she came for her fitting. She had lost so much weight that the dress didn't even fit anymore. So she got another one, and it was absolutely STUNNING on her, different style and everything. I've never seen that dress before it was amazing on her! Much better than this one.

As the saying goes dress for the body you have not the body you want. She looks stunning in that dress but she looked even more beautiful in the second one but it's hard to convince some women that they look amazing in a style they never envisaged for themselves. I wish more wedding dresses had sleeves, even short ones, as the worst part of most overweight women is their arms, mine is definitely my arms, but there seems to be a prevailing idea that wedding dresses must be sleeveless when most women would look better with their arms covered up at least a little.

Because it's 2024, and you don't need to be married to have kids. I would say most brides in the Say Yes to Dress regular show have kids before they are married too. This is normal.
