This is very much appreciated, Pianoman! Your notes are quite easy to see and there's not much arpeggio, so it's perfect for me. I enjoyed your comment below ("I couldn't get it out of my head"). The best version to use with this is Jeff Lynne's and Richard Tandy's guitar-piano one from the 'Bungalow Palace' session...amazing stuff.
People, this is a wonderful version he is playing. If you can read sheet music you can copy what he is playing. He even gives the music to the middle interlude, which is not in the sheet music for this song. Thank you for some great music!
Pianoman 70's style - I enjoyed this tutorial! A great tune from ELO - mid seventies music. Thanks to you, I am playing this now. Its a simple song, yet some tricky fingering. Thank you!
Hello Pianoman, I saw you at Vika's site and thought I'd give you a listen. I LOVE Jeff Lynne and ELO, so this one caught my eye. Nice accompaniment and played very smoothly. Have a great night :-) ~Jackie
Thanks for taking time to comment. It sounds as you are trying to provide constructive criticism, however your comment provides nothing specific for me to focus on. What work do the notes need? Are they too high? Too low? In the wrong key? In the wrong order? The way I play sounds kind of funny? Don't know what to do with that, it doesn't mean anything. No disrespect intended, but if you don't actually have anything specific to say, it might be better to just move on and not comment.
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!! I learned how to play this in like 5 min thanks to you! :D but it sounds like the on 2:16 is actually a Cm but the chord you used actually works just as fine too haha :)
Brilliant, but would it be possible that you could workout the Piano Riff that fits over the instrumental just after the 2nd chorus and post it on here please ?
not sure quite how to say this but i think that you have the inversion position wrong rather than playing a regular c chord i think that richard tandy played inverted so that the highest note in the c chord was the e rather than the g and the rest of the chords inverted in a way that fits best in that position, hope you understand lol anyways all the chords sound great and accurate to the song good job!
Thanks, but sorry, I really don't have sheet music for it. I took music theory and know how to make chords and know all of the inversions. So it's a bit easier to pick these songs out.
Well I am sorry I shouldn't judge and I don't know how to play piano. Reason I watched you is because I was curious how well you could follow the keys to Richard and most part you did.
Not bad in my opinion. About the song you could use some work on the notes but then again I don't know anything how to play piano. It's just way you play sounds kinda funny. This comment wasn't meant to disrespect you.
