The dark version sounds like a reprise after someone got betrayed and all hell broke loose

The LIGHT version: Shows the triumph of finally overcoming something and being able to finally reach true happiness. The DARK version: Shows hurt and pain for something that used to be good.

I like this version but i just love the dark version. Can't explain the feeling when i first heard it.

I actually love both versions equally. This gives more a trascendental feeling of victory and like something really epic, but at the same time brings happiness, while the other version is more like a dramatic feeling, but both of them are amazing and both of them make their job really well making us feel such diferents and wonderful emotions. 😉👍💖

I honestly found this one creepier than the dark version because the beginning sounds like something they might play for a horror movie starring a child.

Where before when she was singing the Dark Version, she sounded like she was left behind beaten, broken and torn by betrayal by the person she loved dearly. The Light Version sounds like a climax scene beat with a dramatic conclusion when the person singing finally found the one who actually loves her and would go through the ends for her.

This is beautiful, both versions are true pieces if art. While the dark version sounds like a stalker's theme, this one sounds like a coming of age for a villain that didn't think he/she could fall in love. I can imagine a character doing whatever he/she has to in order to get their love back. 💗

i see some fantasy story to it... There are two kingdoms. One is full of dark colors, but it was lively. The other one is pure white yet quiet. Both sides of the kingdom is very friendly. They agreed on never settling a war between each other. On the dark side, lthere is this princess. She's a rebel. Adorned with clothes of her kingdom's colors and ling flowing, curly, ginger hair, she has been always quite a strong girl, who is way more manly than ever man in her kingdom. She's also good with the sword and bow. On the light side, the princess there... she's purely astonishing. Porcelain white- like skin, blonde-white hair. Ih she just looks like an angel. Both princesses fell in love. And they were open to it. Thankfully everybody has accepted the relationship of both parties and let them be the couple they always wanted to be. But, unfortunately, not all stories will have a good setting. There's always going to be villain. This knight in the light princess's kingdom also want her. But only for her body. One night, he went to the princess's room, and there he took her purity away. "If you ever tell anyone, I will kill you, and maybe your lover too." Out of fear, she just kept quiet. But the dark princess noticed some changes to her beloved. She always seem to be on deep thought and not as lively as ever before. She kept in asking the light princess what was wrong but she just kept on assuring her that everything is just fine as it should be. On the night the princess was raped, there was a witness. It was one of her maid. She told the story to the dark princess and infuriated, she settled a war. Now, both sides are against each other. The ligh king don't actually know the main reason. The dark version: She watched her first love fade away. He stopped wanting her and he slowly fell for someone else. She got into her car on the passenger side when the rain started to pour down. He was with HER laughing. She was crying in her car wishing she had said the "I love you" that she had been feeling for years before it was too late, and he had never known. He kissed HER on the lips and she sat by and watched. They hugged and laughed some more. Tears pour from her face as she tries so hard not to scream every last breath out of her. They walk away together and he told her goodbye as they passed by her car 💔

It really sounds like a story whichever way you arrange it, dark then light or light then dark... I like the dark one being placed before the light... Both are really good and the way that the vocals don't really seem to change between the two versions and that only background shifting moods is the one that changes the whole context is marvelous. The singer's is fantastic, magical, enchanting, captivating, just beautiful. Dark sounds like the storm approaching the horizon. I see woman standing in the cliff, the waves crashing beneath her, and all she could do is stare at the dark clouds that roll closer and closer. Noone really knows how long the storm will last, but it's there. The storm hasn't reached the island's shore yet, but the wind whips her long raven hair all around. The tiny droplets of water bless the rocks beneath her feet, but never seems to touch her skin. There's the realization of her faults, and the realization that the situation isn't entirely her fault but she is possibly only one suffering. Maybe the guy made her feel absolute betrayal and she seeks the ultimate vengeance as the song reaches the climax, her explaining how much she's put on the line for him, her describing she couldn't help loving him, maybe he tricked her or something to make her fall, maybe she fell on her own, but nevertheless she realizes that it was all a game or meant nothing to him. Her cry of agony echoes all over the place but there's really nothing that could be done. We cut to a scene where she is fully drenched in the rain, all color washed out, but maybe the rain is also washing off something else. Maybe she realizes that because she still loves him, she cannot bear to lay her hands on him. Light shows the woman dry as a contrast to her being drenched in the rain and no longer in the storm, in a flowing grey dress, she walks forward and forward, her face at peace as she continues to face forward. She recounts their days together, the day they first met, etc. She seems in bliss. She stops and lowers herself to the ground, maybe she disappears from the frame and we are drawn the warm golden field around her, but the next time she shows herself, she is caressing her lover. She is not in bliss at all: merely denial. She didn't lay her hands on him, she never could. She stayed away in fear of what he could do to cause more harm. Maybe her tears eventually come, maybe they don't. She realizes that though he may have had his faults, she loved him truly, and love forgives. Even if his actions broke her, she couldn't help falling in love with him, couldn't help but forgive him. The forgiveness may have come too late, but still.

Putting this orchestration over a scene which fades in to our solar system, where we see Earth ravaged and malformed by a bygone force from beyond our galaxy. Really sets a far darker undertone and feels far more unsettling than the alternative version.

these are the type of songs that give me a reason to live

This feels so intense! It’s like the dark version shows how terrifying and scary and overwhelming love can be as it consumes you whole with no way to stop it and you’re not even sure if you want it to. Your fear of the unknown feels like it’s drowning you even though love is supposed to be a good thing. The heartaches are painful but you’d rather that than let go of these feelings. Then the light version comes in and soothes those hurts, slowly uplifting you and making you feel how good love can actually be. It feels triumphant because you pulled through the uncertainty and fear and now it feels amazing and freeing. You can’t help loving someone and you don’t want to change it at all. You love them beyond what words can say. And nothing else matters anymore.

This song blew my mind from when I first heard it! A young lady chosen it as her graduation song from a dance company and performed it on stage for the final recital. It was awesome!
