I don't think a lot of people get that Baby 5's name is a direct consequence to her backstory. She wasn't needed so her parents didn't even bother to give her a real name

Not only her , probably alot of kids like her in that poor area , so probably the parents doesn't bother to name them instead call them 1 2 3 etc ... and the ones who survives and porve to be more "useful" (like if they had a strong boy , so he worth investing because he will probably when becomes like 7 years he can help them ) they name them and be a member of them , and baby 5 was a girl and they dtiched her not immeditly after birth , probably they saw her doesn't have a potential or their living conditions got worse so they chose to ditch her because she is the youngest so she will take more time until she to give them benifit . Another reason of these kind of names is probably the parents tries to not get attached to their kids until they prove to be worthy of staying so when they ditch her it will be easier Unbareable difficult circumstances usually force people to be monsters to survive

Have to give some respect to hjarudin’s Gungnir punch. That punch not only caught 10k tons in free fall but then rocketed it back up to the top of the birdcage. That’s an incredible display of pure force Also glad that Baby 5 gets a happy ending with Sai caring about her.

Baby #5 is party of what I personally call the Trauma Girl Trio. Baby 5, Nami and Koala. Koala broke early to barely survive and then got saved by Tiger and the fishmen, Nami fought it as long as she could and then broke and got saved by Luffy and the Strawhats, Baby 5 has always been broken and the family just egged it on further.

Bruh, back in 2014, we had to endure the slow pacing and wait a week to see one episode. Many of us One Piece anime watchers switched to reading the manga. 😭

For OP I've been a weekly manga reader/anime watcher for 20 years, and I feel for anime-only fans; not only has the anime spent more than two decades close to the current manga, there are no seasonal breaks that allow many current shounen anime to breathe. It's also hilarious to me that the better, relaxed deadlines for Oda (more weeks off, less weekly pages) means the manga is coming out "slower" and essentially kills the anime pacing. (Please keep in mind I'm by no means complaining about the manga's pace, just acknowledging that the anime has to fill the same time each year with less source material than ever.)

That’s fair I’ll be honest I was harsh on the episode in the moment, but still don’t think it was great (for me) , not every fight will be a favourite this was just an example of one I wasn’t loving

Never been so positively surprised by an episode in One Piece lol This had everything to be another random weird paced episode but it was funny, had some backstory and some VERY "g"ood animation. "g"ood THERE'S THE G!

It says something that Doflamingo is totally uninterested in Bellamy, because he's from a rich town and left due to boredom. Very unlike his attitude toward Law who was entirely driven by hatred due to his tragic past.

Yeah, Dressrosa gets extremely painful at times. Even as a weekly manga reader it could get pretty bad. Kudos to you for not dropping the anime and going to One Pace.

If you go back and read manga reader discussions on this chaoter you'll see that it was widely loved as well though; a pleasant surprise even to those who hated the idea of the gladiators getting fights. I think they've kinda had a dismissive attitude to them all arc, so it makes sense they couldn't get into the non-climactic parts of their battles. Back when Dressrosa was weekly I was one of the readers anticipating/predicting fights for these characters though so I was happy

I'm generally unbothered by an arc's pacing, but Dresssrosa got tedious. I've seen manga readers say the same. I haven't read it myself yet, so I can't confirm, but in an ark that was already a bit challenging in the manga, Toei made it even worse. That said, I think the slog is worth it in the end. There are things that could have happened a bit more quickly and things that could have been skipped, but overall, it's still worth dealing with all of the stuff that's annoying.

this is what happen when anime done weekly. they will do anything to stall the episode until the new manga pages come. i wish one piece become seasonal anime instead so pacing and graphic quality gets better

@@royalfun1031 Wano Toei pacing is in another different level than Dressrosa. Most Raid episodes contain less than 5 minutes of story progression. The rests of the episodes are either recap, running, screaming, or destroying fodders.

Damn. This is the first time I've seen reactors not like these episodes (beyond whining about Bellamy). Also for reference *10,000 tons* is just shy of the weight of the EIFFEL TOWER in case you needed help understanding how insane Hajrudin's was being with that punch. ALSO ALSO cut my boy Bellamy some SLACK man he's having an identity crisis and emotional breakdown all in ONE!
