hello gamers, horceror here - thanks to puffalope for having me on, genuinely a wonderful experience, very fun dude to talk with and riff off of for these games. we forgot to talk about WHY we ran the build in game 3 - It's my Horceror ™ build, and here's why :) Addons: ~ T-Virus Sample This addon doubles the amount of contamination points you get from whipping zombies from 1 -> 2 ~ Serotonin Injector This addon makes you undetectable for 15 seconds after a zombie dies by any means. Usually, when running these addons, you're near constantly whipping zombies while out of chase to sneak around the map better (albeit, nemesis DOES have a pretty big Boot Radius, it's still much smaller than his 32m terror radius - you save a LOT of time from survivors not pre-running unless they see you.) Perks: ~ Lethal Pursuer This perk is nice for starting games off strong, knowing if survivors have distortion, and also extending the Floods of Rage/ Grim Embrace 4th stack duration. ~ Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance Essentially Passive slowdown - I really don't like finding and kicking gens, I prefer the chase part of DbD, so this just lets me play the game longer. ~ Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage Scourge Hooks stack on the same hook - so on top of passive slowdown with Pain Resonance, I'm able to see survivor auras through windows mid chase - this lets met get a lot of hits through loops that aren't expected by the average survivor, AS WELL as being able to find sneaky survivors that are hiding or on the other side of the map. ~ Grim Embrace Another passive slowdown perk. I don't really enjoy tunneling all too much unless someone really goes out of their way to be annoying, so getting rewarded for playing more 'fairly' is a pretty good design for me.
@@uvisblumbergs8911 It's a choice thing, I just like floods because it synergizes with *my* playstyle (plus I really don't like kicking generators) - I'd say each one has their own merits, you definitely won't be getting NTH value mid chase, though, while floods CAN get you hits through windows that you'd usually need a lot of luck to go for. But NTH you can proc when you want to find hiding survivors by just kicking a gen. I've definitely missed some survivors by not having it equipped, that's for sure.
So fun fact about that freshly infected survivor thing. An extremely niche counterplay to Nemesis on his release was to have all 4 survivors infect themselves with zombies so that Nemesis would spend significantly more time getting out of T1. imo part of this is the reason why you even get mutation points on infected survivors now anyway.
yeah, it was because nemesis wouldn't get contamination points whipping survivors really early on - he was forced to whip zombies to tier up, and being stuck in tier 1 was AWFUL. He also had a bug where if you ran tyrant gore and you killed a zombie they just... never respawned again.
unironically, the hackusations on nemesis are really common because a lot of survivors just... don't know about the whip drag? I wish the hurtbox was more visible when it's being dragged, but we've gotta get a few more bugfixes before we get there 😔
This entire series is just a massive W. such a good idea and i love going and watching the people who main the characters i play that i wouldve never known of. Love the series Puff! Thank you
The best part about playing a killer is when survivors think you are cheating. You could be playing entirely within the rules but they still can not pull off a win. That shows you are exceptionally skilled and its reached a point that most survivors can not imagine you as being anything but a cheater because there is not logical strategy they can think of to beat you so they need to resort to calling the mods against you because they are too weak to beat you.
To think this is gonna be a future intro Ahem "HI I'm puffalope, and I want to complete every achievement in dbd........but we have problem. I'm a survivor main, and to make this happen I'm gonna be recruiting the best of the best to help me! From professionals, to p100 tricks I'm gonna need all the help I can get. And with tha being said welcome to learning from the best! Today's killer is The Attraction aka SpringTrap aka William Afton." Btw i still really want to see pyrax on the show like in an episode where you try to get all the achivmenta related to his three mains p head, chuck, and unknown #JusticeForPyrax
Puff I honestly took a huge break from DBD because of the state of the game back then i honestly started playing again because I started watching your videos and genuinely enjoying them lol
My best Nemesis game was on The Game. I purposely took a prolonged chase with a survivor because he was feeding me all of the pallets. By the time the first two gens popped there were almost no pallets left and it was a massacre.
I'd love to have the guests giving more explanations about the killers because, we are also learning from the best. And sometimes I don't even know how the powers or mechanics work.
@@horcerordbd awesome! I'll check that out. You were great BTW very entertaining. The comment was in general and I wish all guests had a video like yours dedicated to the killer 💜
What they meant in the video is that Nemesis tentacle can collide with terrain and still be drag and hit survivors. Xenomorph can't, if it hits a terrain before the survivor it will full stop right there, in the open yeah, both can be drag just about the same.
15:04 STBFL is also bugged on Slinger. Just hitting the obsession with the spear makes you lose 2 stacks, but the chain breaking doesn't. Starting to think that BHVR straight up destroyed STBFL for no reason lmao.
I'm pretty sure it's a bug, even on Nemesis (as much as it pains me) but I'm... kind of not minding? I feel like the average Nemesis player has gotten better as a result of it. Slinger for sure it's bs though and shouldn't be that way.
Did they change the adept achievement to be based on kills again? If so when? I remember killer adepts being based on you getting irridecant emblems in all 4 categories before.
I love that Eruption still straight up lies to you about the aura reading, it just.. doesn't do that. EDIT: WHAT, HOW THE FUCK DID HE GET IT TO PROC. IT NEVER PROCS FOR ME WAAAAAAAAAAAAH
@@horcerordbd You'd expect it to be that, but I've had plenty of times where eruption kicks in gives the notif i turn to look and just.. no aura :( Even without distortion, yes (but at the very least it does burn two distortion stacks with lethal I think?)
@@glassyloss4715They could be hiding behind the generator, as you can't really see auras through them? I wish lethal would add another stack burn, but no. It just adds another two seconds to the aura read.
10:58 - Can someone explain to me why people say things like this? "I didn't expect Lithe from an Ace"... what does character choice have to do with Perk choice? :s
as the person who said it - sure! I want to preface this by saying that obviously this isn't true for everybody, but competitively, Ace is the best survivor to play as he's the quietest while injured. So you start making the association with people playing Ace = really experienced players, and most really experienced players run Dead Hard as their exhaustion perk of choice. That, or Balanced Landing (sometimes both) as they're exhaustion perks that can work together that you don't need resources (windows or a pallet) for.
for me nemesis doesn"t feel like nemesis instead he reminds me of the guy from circus that is in the cage with lions, tigers, etc...) i would rather have something like wesker has that he can grab survivors and throw them
Oh, for sure, Nemesis (DbD) and Nemesis (Resident Evil) have diverged paths in being the same character. Don't get me wrong, I love both iterations but they definitely aren't the same guy, really. Zozosdarkroom did a pretty good video on Nemesis missing the mark as far as really playing into the fantasy of BEING the Pursuer, and their idea for how they would have designed Nemesis is really good - but it's too little, too late, at this point. He's already kind of cemented in his power, zombies, etc., and if you were to change the kit then players that play him (Like me 🥺) would lose interest in order to try to appeal to a broader player base. It's like what they did with trickster, and every person I know that mained trickster doesn't like them as much anymore.
