What you need to do is change the filter and the transmission fluid. And if that doesn't work scan the car for any transmission codes It just might be a couple of solenoids that's went bad. And remember theirs no life time transmission fluid in your BMW It should be changed at least every 50,0000 miles intervals And make sure that you use the right transmission fluid. And when you do change the transmission fluid make sure that the car is up off the ground evenly and make sure that you measure every drop of fluid that came out and put the same exact amount of fluid back in the transmission. Once you have the car evenly off ground open up filler hole first and then then the drain hole Drain the fluid, remove the pan Clean the pan out with some break cleaner don't forget about the magnet, remove the filter, but becareful be theirs is a O ring on the end of the filter that might be stuck up in the transmission where the tip of the filter goes Make sure that you remove it before installing the new filter Close everything back up and start adding the fluid with the car off keep adding fluid until fluid is coming out of the filler hole Turn the car on and continue putting fluid in the hole Once you see the fluid dripping out close the hole, but make sure that the same amount you took out goes back in. With the car still off the ground make sure that you shift the car into each gear several times before putting the car back on the ground, once that is done check for leaks, if theirs are no leaks take the car on a test drive. And return back to the shop Jack the car up and open up the filler hole and see if you need to add more fluid, the fluid should drip out once you open up the filler hole with the car off, if not add more until it drips out, lower the car and your done Good luck 🤞🤞😃👍👍
Lol you telling him the business about maintaining the beamer. I really wish he had saved up before he got this car. Usually the brakes and the tire and the fluids would be the first thing that need to be addressed. Just to drive the beauty safe on the highway all together. But a dream car is a dream. I really don't blame him for getting your dream especially if it comes to you at a great price.
I have the same year make and model. Love the car but hate the transmission. Mine shifts slow and seems to slow the vehicle down sometimes when shifting. Sometimes goes into failsafe randomly (usually on highway). Lmk tips or if anyone has fixed same problem!
Brother I would have told you it was going to work if it was really low like you said. You should have bought two quarts. Overall you need to get a filter and oil trans oil change. Also please do something about your driver seat. It really needs some loving. Get some covers if you want to go the cheap route.
it's my cousin's car to him it's just a third car for him to get to work and home that's all. but he's thinking on getting it painted and maybe the seats redone. basically, a restore car.
@@jayroyce20-Garagein the video you said “i don’t hate my dream car but it works”. You also have an idea of what you’re doing but doing all the wrong things at the same time. That car need more than just transmission fluid.
Make sure that you changed out the coolant system all hoses water pump with the metal propellers, thermostat, expansion tank, radiator and don't forget about the 2 hard heater pipes under the manifold. Remember you can never let that engine over heat never and don't use cheap chinese parts on your car and ebay or Amazon only OME bimmer European parts You gotta pay to pay
