Welcome to my latest video: Can the 2026 F1 car BEAT the FASTEST F1 car EVER on the Nordschleife?!
The 2026 FIA Formula one car has been shown! One of the bigger changes is the new DRS/MOM system! MOM stands for Manuel Override Mode and is the successor of DRS (drag reduction system). This system is created to make overtaking even easier!
The Drag Reduction System - which has been a feature of grand prix racing since 2011 - will be no more from the end of next season. Instead it will be replaced by F1’s new ‘Manual Override Mode’. But what is it? And how does it work? I will showcase it to you in this video!

@@jurizmagdael5275 well the 26 was using a smaller rear wing than the W11..and Mercedes seemed to have bit more downforce , however the 2026 car showed great straightline speed..but after a few laps the W11 would run of in the distance

I think it was more to do with the set up. Probably for high downforce. Plus if you watch the second part, the DRS was never opened. The car won't reach its top speed if they don't open DRS. I think the W11's top speed is about 350kmph

I know it’s a simulation but the W11 had that type of grip on the track especially in the high speed corners..Lewis could drive that thing flat out in the corners

With high acceleration and given that the engines would still hover around 600 to 1000hp with little drag, the top speeds can even reach 380 on some tracks

I don't think the 2026 car would even have enough of a battery to do this at all it would have to recharge a lot throughout the race making the W11 far superior and it should've been miles ahead ever since the decline of the 2026 battery would go low since it is 50/50 Engine Battery unit

I mean no offense, but this does not represent the new car correctly. The new car will have half the downforce of the W11 and would never hang with the W11. First 3-4 corners and the W11 would have been gone already. Here's a not so fun fact about F1. LOL. EACH F1 teams logistics spews the equivalent of 10's of thousand of gas cars between every race while they say they are making themselves more efficient. Their OVERALL emissions improvement equates to like a thousandth of 1%. My point is just bring back the V10's. LOL. Bringing back the V10 does not make them any more or less efficient than what they spew worldwide every week they race. Ok, it'll be 0.09% of 1% better. Not 0.001%. Crazy how people thing they are going green when they really aren't. There is more to the business than just racing.

Because the 2026 spec cars will have (way) less downforce. It will be slower in the corners but faster on the straight due to active aero. The FIA is pushing toward an era where most of the overtakes will be done into hard braking zones at the end of long straights, like we saw happening in Las Vegas last year. That's also why they are pushing towards more street circuits. If you take a look at all street circuits, you'll notice that most of them have 90-degree corners and straights, nothing more nothing less. For example, Baku, Singapore, and Las Vegas are essentially all the same track. They all have 90-degree corners and straights. That's what FIA wants. They want races with lots of overtaking on boring 90-degree corner tracks. But that's not what real racing is and that's not what a real racing track looks like. The best racing tracks like Suzuka, Spa, and Interlagos don't have 90-degree corners. These tracks have real corners where a good driver can make a difference by driving a different line through the corner. When you go into a 90-degree corner, there is essentially only one driving line you can take. It's about braking hard and late, then taking the corner, and then smoothly applying pressure on the throttle. As a driver, it's hard to make a difference in such a corner because there's only one driving line. When you take a corner sequence like the Suzuka Esses, there are lots of different driving lines you can take, and that's why a driver like Max can be several tenths faster in just a couple of corners, than Checo, just by driving a different line. In 90-degree corners, you can't make that big of a difference. There it's only about how late you can brake into a corner, and how much traction the car gives you out of the corner.

I think these Cars should compete against on a Realistic Track to be honest, i feel like Nordschleife isnt the Right Track for that. I think the W11 will walk the 2026 Car like a dog on a GP Track. The 2026 Cars was less downforce means less Cornering Speed. Please do a Race on an actuall GP Track.

The 2026 car is either too inconsistent(understandable considering it's not released yet) either too fast on straights and too slow on corners. I heard the new gen will be around 10 seconds slower per GP lap, so around 30 seconds on this track

F1 26 out here looking like a baby of a F2 mom and an IndyCar Daddy. Car is fast but forgot it's aerodynamics and down force in the factory. All torque, no getting the right turn effectively😒
