I got my hands on a DOD Rubberneck Analog Delay pedal after a few friends suggested it and talked about it's unique features. Let me say, they weren't wrong! That little analog box packs quite a feature punch, maximizing space with useful secondary features. I have few complaints of it. I wish it were stereo, and I wish there were presets, but aside from that it's pretty hard to beat...unless you the LVX...
As you know, I'm completely smitten with the @MerisUs LVX Stereo Modular Delay and the reverb counterpart, the Mercury X. I have yet to find a delay (or reverb) that I couldn't replicate to my satisfaction. Perfectly the same? No, but darn close! So on this one, I tackled the DOD Rubberneck to see how close I could get.
I've also had quite a few questions across the platforms asking how I go about creating these presets, since the approach is very different from the way I create totally new and unique sounds. In this video I figured I'd peel back the layer a bit and let you watch me get there from scratch, complete with any mess-ups and oddities along the way.
