Cant believe she hesiated on Barbara's offer. I mean props to her, she has more guts than i do in starting a business. But her business was a mess. Barbara saying she is going to look at her books and business plan in person is incredible. Im actually suprised Barbara only asked for 25%. she is going to essentially have to revamp the entire operations, most likely figure out budget, and hire books and operations people.

I just can't follow their story. It sounds like there are parts missing that were edited out. You can tell a lot was edited when the sharks all sounded exasperated and said 'it took a while but we got there'.

To continue while accruing a fortune of debt and compromising your own children's future maybe speaks to her perseverance, but it's one lacking in assurances and rooted in desperate optimism... like a gambler that can't stop playing. Mark's expression @8:00 is mine throughout this very cringe pitch. She claims they're profitable and are gonna do millions, but is in need of a bookkeeper. She's clueless and can't answer very basic questions about her own business. The fact that she says ''I would love to not be CEO, I need someone who knows what they're doing'' and no one crucified her for saying this would substantiate that whatever sales she has now is probably just a trickle down from the previous operator she was in business with, and her greatest blessing is that she found them to make the product a winner. Barb knows she can take control and elevate the product back, but she'd have to basically look into the fine tunings and build the business from scratch essentially. That's how terrible an entrepreneur you have to be to have your product do 20 million in sales but have to give up 25% to someone who knows what needs to be done to keep things on track. You may never see that kind of equity for so much sales on this show again. If the deal ever went through that is. Kudos to her for putting everything on the line, but she was truly lucky in life for it to not backfire.
