Yes I am 10 years younger than you but 75 years old and being politically conscious since I was 14 years old, we have never had to fight against corrupt billionaires and global gangsters quite sophisticated in technology that tears at the fabric of our Democracy every day. I'm appalled too and I'm American. Basically, there are three small, but very outspoken groups that are behind Trump. One is the very greedy, wealthy group, another is the White supremacists, and the third are what I call, the New Age Puritans, who are basically, very judgmental and controlling Christians. Fortunately, we do have a silent majority of reasonable people. These are the people who voted for Joe Biden last time. I believe that once the Democrats get over their hand wringing after the last debate, and realign themselves behind Joe Biden, we will be ok. Of course, I'm speaking with cautious optimism. But I do think that most people here are put off by Trump's blatant lies and threats.

Yes! Perhaps I needed a bit of a wake up call in my media consumption & I have rather markedly decreased my consuming lately & I am far more judicious in my choices now. I had canceled my NYT subscription on 6/27, but since many in the media have shown their true colors, & I haven't been listening to as many podcasts either. I took some time to mourn & grieve the U.S. & SCOTUS situation but now "it's time to roll my sleeves up & really get down to work!" I already am a political volunteer & bc I live in one of the battleground states, it is absolutely time to get (back) to work. I'm now under no illusions re: the forces that are going to really test this country, & how those forces are trying to divide the Dems by sowing doubt re Biden. This doubt can *seem* to be natural, given Biden's debate performance but I believe it's being artificially blown up, magnified & fed by foreign influences, & of course by MAGA world. But, we too have "influences", spiritual, astro/cosmic forces as Light is stronger than dark, Love is stronger than fear. And in between are those circles of support that require us all to get to work in order to save our country, our democracy & see Justice prevail. Let's GOOOOO! 💪💪

My grandmother was one of the first women able to vote. She never volunteered or even sent money, she educated herself on each candidate. She never missed an election. She instilled upon me the importance of voting, and I've never missed an election, and neither has my daughter.😊❤ We are voting for Biden, as we did in 2020, voted Democrat across the board in 2022, and now again in 2024. It's imperative to vote. If we don't, we may never have a chance to vote again.

Most needed and appreciated. I have studied WWII since I was 10 yrs old, and I am now 71. The little paperback was called, " I SHALL NOT FORGIVE" written by a man who was a child in Auswich. He DID ask Harris to be his VP, and she DID accept, and strongly supports him now. If she can overlook past mistakes in judgment and accept that his attitudes have changed, so should we. Thanks Maryann. All my life I've been an optimist.I'm 70, I've voted every time except when I was birthing my son. We will vote, especially women who want to get back and stop the madness of our reproductive rights being taken away from us. Kamala is helping by getting the word out to our younger women. Its the never ending story of Good over Evil. It will be a battle, but I'm confident Trump will be stopped.

I lived worked and raised a family in northern US. In retirement I’ve been in Florida almost 5 years. This is Trump land. It is downright dangerous to express any idea of political freedom of thought here. This is also the saddest example of failed public education I’ve witnessed, ever. But this is ok, because the under educated are much easier to manipulate and control. This whole situation with a convicted felon running for President, and a “supreme” court panting behind the candidate is so discouraging… how did this happen??
@@djdrews I must say, no one has ever bothered me. And my street is full of Trump signs, even when he wasn’t running. I do keep the sign close to my front door, just in case. But no one trespasses that close to you in TX--every house is assumed to have an armed citizen peering through the curtains if you come on to their lawn (and I’ve seen this up close and personal while walking the dog).
I lived in Florida for 16 years and hated the toxic political climate of the state. I'm in the northern part of the country and don't regret leaving Florida, even in the cold, snowy winter. My blue lips reflect my vote, lol.

I couldn’t watch more than half of Stephanopoulos’s interview where he basically asked the same question over and over probing for a crack he could exploit. I particularly hated the hypothetical “Would you be willing to…”questions. These were to extend the media’s conversation. Biden wisely saw the leverage George was seeking and didn’t fall for it. He isn’t going to be run pillar to post constantly proving he is fit for office. So, rather than watch the whole lousy show, I went home and started in again on the 200 postcards I got from the Democratic field office with a script asking people to vote. Not telling them who to vote for, Just vote.
