We've had aerobie Frisbees here in the US for many years now. My dad and I used to throw it around in a field when I was like 10-13 years old, and I'm 21 now. They're awesome and fly so far, but we've gotten many stuck in trees over the years
The thing about an aerobie is that it has to be tuned to fly straight. At least one of them had a bad tendency to roll in flight so that it was impossible to fly straight. That means that one should have been tested beforehand and tuned by flexing it until it flies straight. The packaging gives you the instructions on how to do it. They're not easy to throw straight for long distances at the best of times, but if you've got one that's out of tune you'll never get it to behave.
Yeah, it's a little bit disappointing that "putting" the baseball took so many shots that basically everything else went out the window in determining the final score.
Finally some good aerobie exposure: though you are throwing them "wrong" the big trick for distance is to do a hammertoss (throw it vertically). Then they will really fly.
I've got several aerobies. The key is to throw them flat and level with good spin. If you bank it, your range will drop fast. If you don't throw level, your range will drop fast.
"What did Gaunson eat this morning?" Answer: Nothing, because the question is asked after 12:00AM, making it "morning" and the viddy ends sometime after 1AM. Meaning he hasn't eaten breakfast yet.
A neighborhood friend of mine growing up had a couple aerobies. Best thing ever. So much fun. There are some pretty creative ways to throw and catch it as it is a ring. Forehand/backhand, under the leg, flip throw, catch it using your arm as a post
Yooo people have been sleeping on those aerobee frisbees for so long. I'm glad you guys gave them some shine. I had a lot of good times in high school with my buddies sending them sailing farther than a football field. You don't need to be in the rafters of a football stadium to send them that far
I can vouch. I bought one in lockdown last year to ‘socially distance’ exercise. The field we play on is by a football stadium and is about 1.5-2x the length and after a week we were throwing it end to end and directly into each others hands. Surprisingly very fun and would recommend to literally anybody 😏
That design is definitely not a "simple frisbee." It's been finely and specifically tuned to get the world record. A normal, simple frisbee isn't hollowed out and designed like that. But because you're the guy who people see everywhere, this comment will inevitably get tons of likes anyway, regardless of accuracy or merit, lol.
I spent way too much time trying to figure out what that little white\gray orb was that kept flying strait up with every frisbee through... it was an animation adding to the throws counter.
I had an Aerobi in my early teens and absolutely full-body-twist+arm curl yeeted it as hard as I could, hit the angle and release perfectly - it flew across two entire fields and landed in the lower branches of a tree in a neighbouring garden. They're insane.
@@RoxyGotMoxy.But they don't float...I did the same; Yeeted it off the house's roof deck...full send. Right into the pond and gone before anyone could get down to ground level and dive in after it.
I had to watch it in slow motion to see what was happening during Brett’s throws. I thought there was a ghost frisbee coming off the one he threw. Turns out it was just the number.
Scott seems the type of man who enjoys a breakfast of oatmeal, an apple, and some jam on toast, washed down with coffee (2 sugars and some almond milk).
Absolutely. Guys like Garrett Gurthie, Simon Lizotte, Eagle McMahon, and Drew Gibson can crush normal disc golf drivers up to 700', and even further in the right conditions if distance is the only goal. I think Simon used to have the world record for farthest disc throw at over 1000'.
TECHNICALLY.... The longest disc golf throw ever recorded was 1,108.9 feet thrown by pro disc golfer David Wiggins Jr. in 2016....BUT they were using light discs and there were like 40+ mph winds
I had one in '89 but I lost it on the way to Six flags in my parents' Station Wagon. I threw it out of the window on the road. I hope to find it again one of these days.
Most people have learned to throw sideways to account for the natural turn of a frisbee. Doing that with an aerobie makes it go sideways. You have to throw it dead flat. Also, when it goes sideways it slides down through the air to the ground. When it’s flat, it holds the most lift
For the next Golf-style game, I'd recommend having a larger "hole" that is maybe just a ring of cones with no wall. That way the game is more about the initial hits from high up instead of the many near misses at the end, which changes the game and allows anyone to win regardless of their first few shots. Either way, I still really enjoyed watching this video, I really like playing with aerobies and it was cool to see how far they go from that high up, thanks so much for making this! 💚💙 P.S. Did Scott have porridge for breakfast?
So when do you think you'll just throw down for a stadium for yourselves? Maybe get Gaunson a mid-field spot. And those Aerobies are nothing new, but you should do more vids with them! They've got some cool flight ability!
Stanford “I haven’t hit a baseball in like 20 years.” Cue the clip of the boys hitting a baseball in the all sports golf battle in the deserts of Dubai. Great vid boys love these golf style challenges.👍

@@brettstanford the problem wasn't from the top of the stadium I could imagine the difficulty of that, I'm talking about while they were on the ground. One of my favorite things to do whilst practicing was hitting line drives, grounders, and pop flies to my friends on the field for practice. Tossing the ball up then swinging the bat was funnest part of practice but we had to rotate for that position.

I really appreciated that red square target thingy on the balls, keep doing that, it’s really hard to keep track of this things on this massive scenario videos.

You can throw the aerobie by holding it with the thumb and side of the index finger to the "outside" of the hand, some people find it easier to get a spin in the aerobie and keep level flight.

This is funny. I was watching aerobic septic systems and this popped up because, I assume, the word Aerobie is in the liner notes. And yes, some of us know about them. They invented the Aerobie in 1984. I bought one that year when I was 14. I loved that thing. Invented by a Physics professor at Stanford University.
I am so deathly afraid of heights. Just seeing you up there puts my balls back up in my body. I have a bad enough time with the 45m drops, but I love the videos.
Aerobies.. forgot what they are/were called in the States, but they were on top of every house in the 80's and 90's after dad said, "Don't throw that as hard as you can." or "Don't throw that in the wind". Oh.. and pretty sure those are softball bats, not baseball bats. The barrel is longer and narrower from the end of the taper to the end for more contact space with a bigger, more "bouncy" ball. Baseball bats have a thicker, but less thick spot from the end of the taper to the end of the bat for a more solid, concentrated contact on the smaller ball.
AFTER READING THIS, I PRAY YOU GET FINANCIALLY LIFTED Charlie Munger once said- "when your mind changes, your life changes".Mindset is all t takes to be a millionaire. I suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. Buy Companies stock which you think has huge potential to grow. For me, I hired a stock expert and she provides entry and exit points on the security I focus on while I go about my other businesses. Investing has no one way to do it, eyes on the prize!!! Mistakes are expensive
These digital Currencies has always been underestimate by many while very few are living comfortably through it. It's the promising future, and I am happy it's here to stay.
@Igor Sain In order to make profits in the stock market, one has to have a good strategy and proper knowledge of how the holders manipulate the market. Look for a certified Broker.
Baseball is the Greatest Game! At least it's my favorite game, I love Baseball. It's a lot of fun smacking the crap out of a baseball and watching it fly.
It’s not a Frisbee. It’s an Aerobie Pro. Frisbees are discs. The Aerobie Pro and Aerobie Sprint are rings. Frisbee : discus :: Aerobie Sprint : chakram. A Frisbee disc can only be thrown with an underhanded grip (A discus can be thrown with an overhand grip because it has more weight for its size). An Aerobie Pro, Aerobie Sprint, or other flying ring, however, can be thrown just as easily with an overhand grip as with an underhand. It can also be thrown with either a forehand or backhand arm motion (I know one can do that with a Frisbee too, but it’s exceedingly hard to make a good-flying forehand throw with an underhand grip; I know from experience. My own best forehand Frisbee throws were all noticeably wobbly).
Also, two fun facts. Both are true. - I have an Aerobie Pro. Just like the one in the video, It’s pink. - The diameter of the internal edge of the Aerobie Pro is the same as the diameter of the outer edge of the Aerobie Sprint.
A professional disc golfer could probably put an Aerobie in the parking lot on the other side of the stadium from there. In a match play tournament a couple of weeks ago Eagle McMahon managed to park a tee shot next to the basket on a 700 foot (213m) hole. Granted that type of thing is rare in actual play, but 140-150 meters with a pro arm and a distance driver isn't all that uncommon.
