Playing with large continents and many opponents isn't hard because of the culling so you need to just focus on winning the prestige rankings. Don't forget to focus on research and using your special workshop that each nation starts with. Also build housing in the main district. You should build scouts from the first turn because they can open the fog of war, gain caches, and kill wildlife to get mats.
Early game cache hunting is def not to be underestimated. I'm curious how different the game would be packed full of players on a smaller map. Trading would likely become much more important in order to get the resources you need
Ive been hardcapping myself to 3-4 cities. Mid/Late game is super tedious once you unlock more goods imo. Feels like it needs some kind of automation for installing supply slots on improvements.
6 feels like the max for me, there are some drop down menus in the towns that let you sort and equip goods easier and that saved me a lot of clicking around. But the game could for sure use some QoL with regards to it
i had 11 and its fine. Once you understand what is where and for what it is important, you will be quick about it. It was daunting at first but it gets easier. Wide helps getting to city level 30 as you need a lot of amenities to slot in....the good ones. For that you need a lot of industry, same for late military. i would say one needs about 7 cities (enough room to grow) - its the top anyways for some goverment types.
did you notice that you are building in a peninsula shaped like the Italian Boot? I wonder if that is coincidence or if each nation as an environmental "feature" that their country is known for?
Sean's got it, trying to stay in a smaller space and focus inwards instead of playing as a conqueror and "painting the map" (which is also hard to do in this game due to the city cap)
@@sean2549 on point. But i dont see this strategy have any meaning in this game. The only differentiator would be the government types supporting x cities as there are no really donwsides to having multiple. On the contrary, you will be in a disadvantage having less that possible (you have just less from everything).
Game is about organization and logic, and u just ignore everything. Just clicking … question for palace asking to build it. U research it check for cost and totally ignore. Pain to watch…
@@igors415 hahaha. Not one creator hasn't forgotten due to the awkwardness of playing while streaming and talking to be interesting. It's like singing while playing the drums. Not many can do it at the same time. Singing involves anticipating and singing notes on cue to the beat. Drums involve hitting the beat and setting the beat. So what happens is as you are hitting the beats you are singing, and then you forget to hit the next beats.
