Sheikh said "the honorable descendants of Prophet PBUH". So are we not the honorable muslims or the honorable people?? How can an ordinary muslim just like me of today's age can be more honorable than a non sayyid, when we all know that we all commit all sorts of filthy sins whether sayyid or not?

You need to list down all assets and liabilities i.e. loan etc. Don't add your present living home or any vehicle intended for personal use. Subtract your liabilities from assets, if it is more than Nisab you need to pay zakat on remaining amount. Asset - personal items - Liabilities = True Assets If T.Asset > Nisab then T.Assets - Nisab = Zakatable Asset

Brother there are many concerned offices in every state of almost every muslim region which work with the tracing of lineage of important muslim personalities like as-haabs etc and most importantly they work with the tracking of the lineage of Prophet pbuh, that are the sayyeds.
khumus is not implemented because most saiyeds are following their forefathers and are called Shia and most Muslims who followed kings and rulers are sunnies. so from the beginning, Shia and other people khilafat Umayyads and then Abbasids and so on do go together well. may Allah guide us all
Like you see today the so called peer living luxurious life just with the charity they get from people .if people of Prophets lineage are allowed to do this. What will happen and people easily give them money and resources just because they from the prophets family. And they are also get dependents on this instead of living with hardwork and earning.

There is not cast system in Islam...Syed is just the name, not superior to other....you also can give zakat and sadqa to non-Muslims too....so why not Syed...remember there is no cast system in Islam...

Zakat is the RIGHT of every poor Muslim including a Syed in the wealth of a rich Muslim i.e. Sahib-e-nisab. Always keep in mind Zakat should be delivered among the Mustahkheen without hurting them or disrespecting them. Zakat is a religious obligation. A sahib-e-nisab is bound to pay zakat to poor Muslims. Zakat is the commandment of Allah and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) have absolutely no power to undo the commandment of Allah. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) never did the same, its the creation of jahil ulma. This commandment or injunction of Allah is still in the field. A poor Syed is equally entitled to zakat with the rest of the poor Muslims.
@Talha Hassan Keep in mind, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a prophet. His status is different. As for as his family is concerned they don't have any special status in Islam. There is no place for 'Paghamberzadgi' (transfer of Prophethood to any of his descendent). All Syeds are equal like the rest of the Muslims. Allah on the Day of Judgment will decide who was a good Muslim or a bad Muslim. On the basis of a Muslim's good or bad deed, he/she will go to hell or paradise. There is absolutely no special status or place for Syeds in Islam. Go through the Holy Quran. Islam is a simple, graceful, and easily understand religion of the world. Syed's badly distorted the positive image of Islam. EQUALITY is the hallmark of Islam.

You and the so-called 'Alam' in this video are misinterpreting the concept of Zakat. The Holy Quran says, Zakat is the right of poor Muslims in the wealth of the rich Muslims. There’s no concept of greater Muslim and lesser Muslim in Islam. So making a dichotomy a rule in Islam has its negatives. For, the prophet himself in his last sermon categorically declared…. Everybody is equal in Islam and no one has got any advantageous position whatsoever vis a vis others. So making Sayid's a separate category and exception doesn't suit Islam. I am pleased to watch that a Muslim is delivering his lecture in English. English is a lingua franca and whatever you said a large number of people will listen to you and appreciate or depreciate you. Ignore altogether Hadith and read the commandment of Allah in the Holy Quran. The Syeds including every poor Muslim is entitled to zakat. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has absolutely no right to change the commandment and order of Allah. Only jahil ulma wrongly interpreted the Quran and said that zakat is not jaiz for Syeds. That's a rubbish idea and violative of the commandments of Allah. Allah is kind enough to the Muslims as well as humans. Syeds are just like ordinary human beings and fully entitled to zakat.

Allah declared in the Holy Quran, Zakat is the right of poor Muslims in the wealth of rich Muslims. No one can change this law even Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), this is the supreme law and the commandment of Allah. Allah is Great, magnificent, and supreme. All prophets including Prophet Muhammad bowed before Allah. A Hadit may be wrong but the commandments of Allah available in the Holy Quran could not be. Allah is the Guardian of the Holy Quran but no assurance is available about Hadith. I am a Muslim and I am studying Quran with translation and understanding for the last 35 years. I am not a stupid Muslim like you, just to study Quran in Arabic only. The Holy Quran is a message of Allah for the welfare of mankind. The Muslims are neither studying Quran with translation nor trying to understand and to act according to the commandments of Allah. Keep in mind Syeds are just ordinary Muslims. If they will be good Muslims they will go to paradise, if they will be bad Muslims they will go to hell. EQUALITY is the hallmark of Islam. We are Muslims and firmly believe in Taqwa. Read the Holy Quran with understanding and improve yourself about Islam. Also, act according to the commandments of Allah available in the Holy Quran. Don't follow stupid and jahil ulama. Islam is a wonderful, progressive, and great religion.

Stupid Comment ! Khums for Sayeds is 20% from the earning/booties collected by the Govt only, while the Zakat for other people i.e. 2.5% is from each applicable individual ( or a couple) of the whole society. Now do the Maths, I hope you at least know how to ....
