There is a huge difference between Happiness and Bliss. Bliss is permanent and complete. The question is, when I am happy, how do we make out whether it is happiness or bliss? The insightful experience of Dr. T. Ravikumar in the interview room with Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Swami gives us a practical definition of bliss which we can apply in our daily life. Then comes the question, "How do we attain this bliss?" That is taught to us in the Bhriguvalli. We understand that Bliss is Brahman. No wonder that Swami would always tell us, "Happiness Is Union With God."
To help us in this journey to attain bliss, there are practical tips. These tips have been proven through studies and research from many top universities in the world. The role of mind gets emphasised and established. References are made to two TED talks on happiness. One by Dan Gilbert is on the synthesis of happiness which gets enhanced when we are in situations of 'no choice'! It amplifies Swami's message that "Na Sukhat Labhyate Sukham". The personal experiences of Ms. Yanni Drucker, Ms. Anasuya and Mr. Shane Rao are shining examples.
The other TED talk by Robert Waldinger shows that the source of happiness (and bliss) is not what we usually think of. Purpose-driven relationships are critical and that again amplifies the blessing of being part of the Sathya Sai Organization.
