i think the internet is alot more informed than most of the world though. and informs the world quite a bit... i mean, the internet is literally the place where religions go to die.

That's not something a company like google can do. They would bankrupt themselves before they would be able to put up the infrastructure needed for such a thing.
Tech companies can only help in with tech related problems on that front, for example telecommunications infrastructure is one of the important tools needed for a country to be able to properly distribute food and feed itself.

Clean water isn't something that a tech company like google can realistically give people. Clean water would involve major changes to infrastructure and government in those places where it's not available. Not really something a company that deals with the internet can do.

These could also be deployed in the us in places where a phisical wire either isn't worth laying down, due to it being either only needed for a short time or the terrain makes it too expencive, and they could also be used when existing lines are being fixed or upgraded.
Balloons and drones are cool and all, but to bring internet to everyone, they'll have to litter the sky with them. Instead of that, I think either satellite or technologies like cell towers with 4G LTE will work better. In fact, I actually have faster internet on my phone than I do at home.
What we really need is a wireless backbone. That is: I have a wireless router, you have a wireless router, that guy over there has a wireless router, everybody has a wireless router. Okay, so this is nothing new. Well, all these wireless routers search for other routers in range, and create an ad-hoc internet backbone. My LAN is private, your LAN is private, that guy's over there LAN is private. In fact, my LAN could even be wired (not wireless), but if there's enough of these routers in the country, anyone can get to any other website in the country by hopping across wireless routers. It's the backbone that's wireless, not your home LAN (unless you get a router with a wireless hotspot). This way, the big media companies (like TWC, AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, etc.) can't pay off Trump to take net neutrality away if he gets elected.
I think I read somewhere that Elon Musk is planning on doing this with satellites (well that guy has A LOT of awesome plans, it won't be a surprise if he does it).
Businesses are always trying to give more to consumers, governments are always trying to restrict what people can have. Restricted offerings like "Free Basics" isn't a problem if other businesses can compete. It's the governments that restrict competition.
A Mesh network would be a lot easier. Most of the infrastructure is already in place (wi-fi transmitting smart phones and stationary wi fi routers). You may need more in some places and "bridges" to connect isolated regions but this could be largely met with solar powered wifi relaying "pucks" that you could just toss where needed. Getting across oceans may require a "ring" of cubesats but those are getting cheaper all the time (thanks SpaceX) and they already work. The network could be "free" to access, because a user would "pay" their due by downloading/uploading data packets and relaying other users data packets in an alternating fashion. It could also be a surprisingly secure system because instead of having sensitive data take one path it can be "cut" into pieces at one end, sent through many different paths, than reassembled at the other end, making the data useless to any one eavesdropping relayer. This system would also be really difficult to shut down or disrupt.
So.... nobody is gonna mention the O3b project, which already started and uses satellites to provide internet (at broadband speeds) to emerging countries?

To answer the question from the video title: If we humans acted as one. We would've been able to give the whole word Internet from the start or at least close from the beginning. The money that some people posses is more than capable of doing this many times over. It would surely be a magnificent feat. We would without a doubt be taking a big step into our own evolution and slowly ascend into a more intelligent and efficient life form. There are plenty of thing that we as humans could do to accelerate our own mental and spiritual evolution and enlightenment but sadly the people in power have no intentions of doing so. We must unite.
You know there is a term that you could've used instead of stumbling about with your explanations... it's called a hive mind... ants and bees are most notable for this. Also if this was true we would still probably take just as long developing as we did now. Just over small blips of electric pulses over a handful of yards instead of talking. And then we wouldn't have developed music as it is today because we wouldn't have a need to vocal communications.
By providing internet to rural impoverished communities you may be giving them a voice, an education, entertainment, hope, a new perspective on life so they can see how more fortunate communities work together for a common purpose, a sense of unity, knowledge can be shared to provide what we Americans call "life hacks". Sure pornography will be a risk, so you must educate them and ultimately the choice is theirs.
I thought we lived in the space time and they're still using drones and balloons... Helium isn't rare and expensive btw ?? Satellites are the way to go. Tiny satellite constellation could give internet forever
The same guy that wants to bring internet to the whole world is the same guy who came up with the Neuralink chip. They will connect everybody to the web eventually regardless if you want to or not.
