FYI, if the oxen die, then you go around the table and everyone has one chance to play one oxen card. So Damian could have kept everyone alive with that Oxen card.
This is one of my favorite party games. I always try to get my friends to play with me, but they usually don't want to because we almost never make it. Very first time I played this game my first turn I got dysentery and died.
My biggest issue with the game is how easy it is for a player to draw a "you died gg" card. It's kinda lame for a party game when you die 2 turns in and have to sit out for the next 10-15 minutes, especially when in the real Oregon Trail games death nowhere near as prolific.
Damien: " I am going to go ahead and say that no one is going to die this round, and if we do, I'm going to do something real neat" * 2-3 mins later: Every one dies.
okay but the dumpster wizard and the grandpa from trail to oregon (the musical, go watch it it's really good) are the same person and im just realizing this now
I somehow missed this one! They altered the rules to make it easier, though. If someone fails the river roll, a trail card can’t be played until someone rolls even. Even if every single person rolls odd, it keeps going.
if you guys ever ply this again, I think you have to stack the cards on top of each other till one of the stacks gets to the ends, not 100% sure though
@@Delilah_Fields Shayne could be the father. I feel like Tommy could be the grandpa. Damien could be all of Joey's characters. Idk about everyone else.
Lmao played this with family but wasn't in the mood. tried to get out but my mom forced me. First turn, snakebite. She tries to overturn it, bend the rules so I can keep playing. Second turn, snakebite.
I remember playing it in a group around the computer during indoor recess cuz there was a thunderstorm. I was picked to be “The Rat”, i don’t even know lol. And I died. Oh, we were in 4th grade so I was like 9 or 10, (1994, that’s right kids, it was a black screen with ugly yellow pixels).
