I think he conserves speed. He's not gonna sprint full speed all game, he'll get a chance to showcase that speed soon enough. He's an underrated rout runner and I think he's a hybrid route runner/deep threat.

I remember players, Jalen Ramsey, saying Hill was only a return specialist. Give Worthy a couple years to find his place in this system

As a chiefs fan I will admit that I agree. On his Texas tape he was getting caught from behind, defenders were running stride for stride with him and he never looked 4.21 on the field. I was mad when the Chiefs drafted him for obvious reasons. But after some more research he’s a lot different than most speedsters. He can run at different speeds, he’s a really nuanced route runner and a very cerebral player. He’s no Tyreek but Worthy is seemingly living up to the 1st round hype

You know a guy is hellacious fast when the defender decides to make a tackle and he's gone before the command has reached his limbs.

Some guys are just fast in pads & have football speed on the field, like Jordy Nelson for instance- he ran like a 4.5 40 but he was so deceptively fast & he burned everyone deep in his career. In 2011 he caught 71% of his passes for 1250 yards and 15 tds & almost 19 YPC & STILL didn’t make the pro bowl…

I've been a Chiefs fan since the 90s, so I've watched a ton of Tyreek and what Worthy has shown in the NFL so far. Tyreek is constantly moving quickly on the field. He only has two gears: trot and blaze. And because he's shorter than most guys on the field, his legs look like they're moving faster than most (which they are) when he's at blazing speed. This is why Tyreek not only is fast but looks fast. Worthy moves at different speeds depending on the play and the route. I've also noticed that Worthy tends to maintain a long stride unless he's slowing down. It makes him look slow, but it's apparent that he's not slow when watching him fly by defenders. Is Worthy the next Tyreek? Probably not. Can he fill Tyreek's old role for the Chiefs of stretching the field? So far he's off to a good start. And people forget that Tyreek wasn't always the Tyreek we now know -- he was a mid-round draft pick who didn't get 100 receiving yards in a game until his second season. I'm content with what I've seen from Worthy so far and look forward to his development.

I dont think Xavier Worthy's frame is built for the NFL. When people say yeah bit Reek is small, be real. Reek is stout and has a lot of muscle mass. Worthy is built like a high-school player.

He is fast. Tyreek wasn't the best when he first came in the league.

Honestly Tyreek hill is not as fast anymore. I see so many players simply let up because of his PAST.
