Can You Afford SPLIT? - Split Prices & Travel Costs. I’m Rok and I’ve spent last 8 years travelling around Europe as a tour guide. I will show you how much does it cost to visit Split, Croatia. I will show you prices of most common services and things you will need during your stay in Split, to help you plan your travel costs in Split.
Split Croatia has the oldest Catholic cathedral in the world, amazing waterfront, Game of Thrones filming locations, nice beaches and amazing atmosphere. All this sounds amazing, but how much does it cost to visit Split? To better understand prices I will first explain Split’s position and its economy. Then we will look at accommodation prices, prices of parking and public transport. Then I will cover admissions for main attractions. Next I will talk about prices of food.
In this video I am analysing pre COVID-19 prices. During 2021 season most accommodations, restaurants and other services offer substantial discounts.

This is such a great overview of Split filled with some great information! I loved the comparison for low and high seasons :) They need to get some free walking tours :) It is great that they have public transport ticket options and some free attractions! It is on our must-visit list :)

i miss the good old days in split (10-15 yrs ago) when you could go out and have the night of your life for 100 kuna before all the tourists found split🤣

Thanks. Sure, why not. It is safe and there are only few steps. Old town is pedestrian only, so no cars. Besides hotels there are also plenty appartments avaliable and are great option if you want to stay in the old town.

This is a good comprehensive overview of the costs. Does Split not have the free walking tours where you pay what you want?

I believe there are such tours, at least there were before pandemic. Not sure about current situation.

What's your accomodation recommendation near old town and outside old town. Some have washing machine, some don't. Some require walking up 2-4 flights of stairs, etc. The big hotels are 2km to the right of city centre. Would it be quieter and less crowded to stay in trogir or brac and catch water taxi/ ferry.

Thanks for asking. I think in Split is the best to find accomodation at B&B as they have long tradition and you can find them on any location you prefer. I don't think crowds would be to much of a problem to find a good night sleep so I wouldn't go through the hassle of staying so far out. Hope this helps.
