The 5th one is actually wrong. A day is a 24 hour cycle with the night being the dark part of that 24 hour cycle. So if bill slept during the night than he would have slept on that day.

How does the "go 8 days without sleep" one make sense? You don't refer to days as days and nights. You refer to them as days. There aren't 30 days and nights on a calendar.

For the second question you actually are in first place if you pass the person in second because the statement implies that you already passed the person who would then be second. You would only be right if you said “If you are in a race and you overtake the person THAT WAS IN second place, what place are you in now?” If you were truly in second place you would pass the person in 3rd and not 2nd.
