Meanwhile in the nearest Pokemon Centre: "Hey, what about me? What about good ol' Shuckle? No? No, j-just leaving me here in the PC? Alright, alright. Shuckle has his own place. Neat."
Yea not using the UPR to randomize just doesnt feel like a Nuzlocke to me anymore. The gift mons in Crystal are still pretty good. Starter, Fearow, and Kadabra could do it all themselves.
*sad Breph noises* In all seriousness though, despite such a terrible performance from the far superior Rival - you did so damn well doing this with nuzlocke rules! Be proud man, what a run! It wouldn't surprise me if this video blows up faster than a Geodude in a Kaizo run! You absolutely smashed it!
Tyranitar is very overpowered, having a pseudo legendary at disposal certainly helped a lot, but despite being a mid run loss, kadabra still was the mvp in my opinion.
So I literally just heard of you yesterday, but this challenge was so impressive that you've earned my sub already. Not only did you play a Nuzlocke with ridiculous rules, but you weren't playing it safe either. You at many points were deeply underleveled and focused on high-risk high reward strategies that made it exciting to watch. Great job!
8:11 well the odds of hitting yourself in confusion in gen 2 is 50% or 1/2. so the odds are 1/2^4, or around 1/16... about the same chance as getting a critical hit normally if i did my math right anyways
@@kirkstone5778 According to Bulbapedia, confusion lasts 1-4 turns, assigned randomly at the start of the confusion. Therefore, accounting for the chance to snap out early is a simple matter of multiplying by ¼. The odds of 4 straight hurt yourselves, beginning at the moment of confusion = 1/64.
Great video! I do think it's funny that there's a common theme of misunderstanding amongst Pokemon challenge runners (yourself, jrose, mdb, etc...) about how probability works. Flipping a coin is 50/50 chance of heads or tails. So 50% chance of heads, 50% chance of tails. However, this doesn't affect the probability of the next flip. Getting heads on the first flip does not make it less likely for you to get heads the second flip. Even if you flip the coin 10 times and get heads 10 times, that is still a 50% chance of happening, not a 0.097% as intuition would seem to suggest. This is a very common misconception, infact statistics teachers typically open their classes by dispelling it. Sorry for long comment, keep doing great work!
Great video man, been watching a fair few of these lately and I feel you’re getting much more confident. Your voice seems to be projected more and the editing seems a little crisper (although editing has always been great from what I’ve seen). Great job man, keep up the great work!
see a lot of nuzlockers are so bad and scream their head off which isnt fun to listen 2. They also dont challenge themselves. You challenge yourself and honestly this is more fun to watch than any of their series
“I was originally a delivery bird for someone. But when that trainer took me in for himself, it was the best time of my life. Being in battle, fighting along side my comrades... at least, that’s how I felt back then. I was unaware the fate they’d all face. Sad Boi and eeveE, they fell fighting a giant steel snake like monster in a gym battle... During the Elite Four, Benedict and Tina... A dog that looked like it was from h*ll burned Benedict and ate Tina... Then Chonk, he was disintegrated by a powerful beam of energy. Leafy, Kadabra and I were the only survivors after the elite four and were soon headed off to Kanto. We made new friends and comrades, as I hoped the same wouldn’t happen to us or them. But... Leafy, our leader, fell to the ground cold from a Starmie. Never to wake up again. And Kadabra, he was crushed under some debris from the gym’s ceiling. Everyone, all from the beginning had fallen... All except me. As we went up towards the cold mountain to fight someone, all I cared about was destroying his team. After the losses of my comrades, ones of which I had grown close to, I wanted that trainer to feel what it’s like to lose what you loved... My comrades gave up their lives for us to continue forward and win... but in the end, even after we won, I knew I’d join my comrades soon. The cold had gotten to my wings, my muscles sore from the fighting... I can hear them, my friends... I close my eyes as I let my tiredness overcome my body...” -Kenya the Fearow. Really nice run, even if I am VERY late to this video. A nuzlocke no catching challenge is interesting. I’ve been meaning to make a video of my own personal ideal challenge. The story is from realizing Kenya was the only Pokémon of the entire team to survive start to finish. Rest In Peace Leafy Boi, Benedict, Chonk, Sad Boi, and eeveE.
I already commented, but I noticed that there aren't a lot of Emerald videos right here, so I propose a "Emerald Color Randomizer first 6 Challenge" It's a Randomizer that changes the Color palettes of the PkMn to match the randomised type. Here the rules: Randomised Starters, your choice (no legendaries) Randomised PkMn in the wild (Global 1-1 Substitution) Randomised Stats, Types, Abilities and Movesets (evolutions kept intact) Randomised Colour Palette (keep the palette consistent with evolution lines) You can use only the starter and the first 5 Pokémon you find, from any area Trainers have randomised items on their PkMn Redefine trade evolutions, so you can finally have a Alakazam if you luck out an Abra 😜 You choose if to randomise the trainer pokemons, I think the challenge is already fun as it is Here the link to the Randomizer, feel free to change out any rule you don't like! Keep the good work and Bye! artemis251.fobby.net/downloads/emerald/
This was a really fun video, honestly, but did you remove Extremespeed from that Dragonair at one point? It most likely could've finished off that Houndoom and prevented its sacrifice.
When the Game Corner is present, a Giftlocke is literally impossible to lose. Why? Each time you buy a pokemon from the Game Corner, it's technically a different gift each time
Challenge idea: any game modified nuzlocke style. No Pokémon center only super potions and max elixirs can be used. You can catch 3 extra Pokémon as replacements as needed with no duplicates
Cringed a bit during sacrifices. Marowak instead of Togetic and Dragonair instead of Meganium. Anyway this was a bit of a surprisingly entertaining challenge. Limited nuzlocke without insane overleveling. I'd like to see more of these, but unfortunately other generations are extremely limited and boring when it comes to hidden options. Crystal ftw.
I'm not sure that Nuzlocke rules allow for buing multiple Pokemon off of game corner Since it's "one pokemon from each area from where you can obtain one , including towns "
I feel like there should be an option to re catch released pokemon they could do an effect like in BW2 with N pokemon imagine releasing a starter in a nuzlocke then later on just randomly encounter it I would think it would be fun
The run was over as soon as he caught a tentacool cause thats technically catching a pokemon regardless of it just being a hm slave, but I enjoyed the video either way.
I wish you luck on my challenge Living hell Rules: Must play on a hardened version of any game Gift pokemon only Nuzlocke No pokecenter or pc No items (held in battle outside battle) No overleveling Randomizer Cannot flee from battles
Diegma Star yeah... No pokecenter, no pc and no items outside of battle is pretty much impossible, depending on the game, because you can't heal at all and you can't replace team members, so you'd have to depend on outspeeding and ohko in everything in the game, which would require being over leveled.
