Since patch 5, you can’t steal the idol of Sylvanas unless you’re obscured or hiding. I’ve had good luck using fog cloud, and moving the idol into a container that I dropped nearby. Once they are done investigating, you can just pick up the container. If they question you, you don’t actually have the idol, so they let you go.
You don't actually have to fight Bernard, if you read some of the books and loose pieces of paper, you get certain dialogue options that allow him to give you a ring that leads to the basement, and a greater healing potion.
He could've gotten a parasite earlier. On your way to the goblin camp, before the owlbear cave, there's a true soul that dies on his own, his 2 helpers aren't too bad to kill either.
at base level, chromatic does more damage than witchbolt, but every upcast level after 2 witchbolt does more damage chromatic: 2d8 +8 per upcast, 16,24,32,40,48,56 witchbolt: 1d12 +12 per upcast, 12,24,36,48,60,72 level 6 + crit + channeldiv, orb does 224 and witchbolt does 288 people always say witchbolt is bad because its recast does 1d12 regardless of upcast, but the base cast is one of the highest single target damage sources (excluding drs mechanics)
This was my first ever build in bg3, glad a few other people realised how broken it was. Twinned chromatic orbs on wet characters had me absolutely obliterating everything i found. Only got more powerful when i unlocked lightning bolt
I don't comment too often, but after hearing your final comments on making video's and it taking long I am genuinely begging you... PLEASE make more videos/continue making videos, you're a funny dude and the editing style isn't all that bad as you might think! Loved the video, earned yourself a subscriber :)
By taking a level in wizard you can learn scrolls depending on your total caster class. This allows access to higher level spells that you normally cannot use when multiclassing. I usually put all the utility spells in sorc, which allows for lower charisma in favor of high int, then put the damage spells in wiz. If your int is high enough you don't need too many wiz levels for the spell slots, though Abjuration School at wiz level 4 does give you arcane ward which is quite nice. You can now just munch scrolls for breakfast and cast anything you want. Now, since the higher level stuff aren't attacks, and you get D8 per level of Chromatic Orb anyhow, you probably won't increase one shot potential, but having lightning bolt on hand for groups of enemies is quite nice, especially when they start getting tankier.

Technically if you have to end every fight in a single hit, I wouldn't mind if you'd left the hag alive. You would still "one shot" the encounter. Though making sure you hit the treshold without killing her could be tricky.
@@itsSmiv that's a bug, it's supposed to give you two craftable items, but sometimes it just does nothing. one easy way to avoid the bug is to not pick up the first item after the Grym fight. Do it after.
I’ve theorized if you used your offhand attack with the one trident that inflicts wet on hit you could in theory with the right set up cleric sorcerer just one turn all but the dracolich.
Great video! When you edit your next video I would make your voice a little louder as at some points it sounded like you were a little too far away from me!
Idk if this is really the right place to ask, but how do you manage your spell slots? I mostly played martial but though the storm sorc + cleric seemed cool, but I always felt useless after using like 6 worthwhile attacks, so I kind of gave up on it.
Tbh because this build does so much damage AOE, it's quite easy to one shot most encounters with the use of a single destructive wrath. Then just short rest after to get it back. Still it's a lot of long resting for sure. Not everybodys cup of tea.
I'm looking for a team type for my run in honor mode. Maybe something like this 1 create water main and 3 electrocuters. I need high initiative though, because it feels like something bullshit can stop the run easily.
I have always played a barbarian, but was curious about what the other classes could do. Thank you for explaining the abilities, what do they do and how to use them properly, I really appreciate your work! ❤
I'd have figured one shotting would be most difficult at the start of the game, but now that I'm thinking about it, hp pools can get ridiculous later in act 3. Excited to see more in the future!
I watch a hell of a lot of challenge runs and yours is one of the few that gives me that same feeling of a ymfah video in how ambitious and entertaining it is. Great job!
I'm shocked this is one of your first youtube vids this is so well put together and maintains a good energy consistently really incredible work man cant wait for act 2.
Amazing video. I have seen a few challenge runs so far but this one has to be one of the most creative ones. I like it a lot and am hyped for the other acts!
I present to you Bouch, shover off of cliffs, maker of unexpected lightning strikes, creator of illusions and surprises, sneaker and lurer to ledges, jumper from high places! Behold their glory! ......just dont turn your back to them around any high places. My nephew once thatched a roof with them and....i havnt seen him since.
That guard in the Arcane Tower is actually friendly if you read a certain book in that tower. That will unlock a new dialog option and he becomes friendly and can give you items
If you succeed a few wisdom checks you can get flind to fight against the other gnolls, and when he's done with that you can also have him unalive himself in the same way.
