Fun fact:You can close the umbrellas on resort by clicking on the base of the umbrellas Also with perfect placement you can fit 4 tack shooters in the little square on resort Also also biker bones could still be viable he's technically just a skeleton
Very interesting strategy on the Candy Falls level. I personally would've done tac shooters and ETNs early on, but I'm glad your strategy was viable. Always fun when you try something unconventional and it works out!
9:31 Wow, that is a actually REALLY good advice for this challenge. Seriously, without these key words I probably couldn't have even attempted to try this challenge myself. So far, using this advice, I have beaten 4 maps and plan to beat more. Why do you not have a Nobel Prize yet, because with this logic they should seriously nominate you for some category.
I saw this comment before getting too far into the video and was excited to find a secret tip for beating chimps, then realized why this was commented. I can’t even say I’m mad
Nice video, you have a lot more dedication than I do. I haven't beaten all of the beginner maps on chimps due to how many there are. Quick few tips about tack shooters: they actually work best if placed directly under the track, since the spot where tacks are created is slightly higher than the base of the tack shooter, meaning if you get tack zone below the first loop on in the loop instead of inside of it, the tacks appear in the middle of the track, allowing for a massive amount of damage. Also, 02x tack shooters aren't really worth it if you plan on using top path village, since the extra pierce isn't as useful as attack speed when primary training already gives more.
Fun video. Perma-Spike hot spikes has like half the DPS of the other crosspath, its much better value to put down a discount village and MIB. Pat + Overdrive can match/beat the DPS of tackzone alone. And recursive clusters combo's disgustingly well with Striker Jones's adding multiple layers of damage per explosion.
025 + AMD is way cheaper than a MIB for a slightly better effect (+1d to cerams and moabs, and effectively acts as an MIB since permaspike consumes the shot limit very slowly.
Tbh it would’ve been hilarious if he added mountain guardian Obyn to the hero list and said “this is an octopus, this is an alien, this is a snowman, and this is a goddamn mountain.”
This video actually changed how I saw the usefulness of tack shooters. Before, due to high school experience with BTD5, I kinda didn't really see tack shooters as being all that good, but I kinda started to figure out their niche after seeing them as the backbone of a whole challenge run.
I can't believe how original every opening strategy was, completely and intelligently designed to every map. He totally didn't spam tack shooters and ETN to open on every goddamn map.
I was using this as background music to sleep but when you said "neon genesis evangelion" my heart fucking skipped a beat and woke me up and now I can't sleep
Fun fact: you can actually place 4 track shooters in the top right spot in Resort. By using the pro epic gamer move known as 'nudging' you can easily fit them.
Is pronouncing Etienne as "E.T. enn" an intentional joke? Well played if it is, missed it on my first watch through and it's pretty clever with the alien skin
This is my favorite bloons video, and not even just because the Tack Shooter is my favorite tower (Seriously though, this is the first of your videos I've watched, and you did a great job)
Tack Factory is most likely the next paragon. Well, they’re doing it by order but they’re probably gonna do two by every update, which releases every month and a half. Edit: How did I say Tack Factory. I've been playing for TWO YEARS. TWO.
9:20 you had a very intresting stratagy for candy falls. I was expecting you to spam moab maulers with Striker Joans as is the dominant strat for chimps but this was a nice change of pace..
Hmmm... Can you beat the game using towers that DONT have an upgrade that increases their range? Meaning Glue, Sniper, Ace, Heli, Apothecary, and banana farms if you want.
This is an older vid, but some points on tack shooters here: 1. Placement. It's always better to have them below the track. Tacks spawn in the center of the tower, but due to the camera's angle, they spawn slightly high. This means that you can maximize the tacks hitting by placing it below, and the best is in such a way that a MOAB will pass over the center. 2. Ring of Fire. In some cases, you may want to keep Hot Shots. RoF loses the ability to pop purples, and actually does less MOAB damage overall. Unless it's been changed recently, stacking 3-2-0 Hot Shots is the best overall for MOAB killing.
about the dying on round 103 after looking at the wiki, the RBE (Red Bloon Equivalent) on round 102 is a modest 200k then on round 103 it jumps way up to above 500k RBE which is more than twice as much damage required as the last round. 103 apparently has the highest RBE of any round up to and including 107. just a hunch.
Honestly, my laugh is completely disconnected from my voice. I have a fucking hyena laugh which is the exact opposite of my regular voice, if you've ever heard his laugh I think the closest equivalent would be Jesse Cox
Also the monkey village literally has monkey in the name and who else is going to play the drums so I have an impossible challenge beating chimps with only the bomb tower and spike factory
few tips for permaspike it's def better to have it on smart rather than close and have it at the very end of the map since it can build up more piles and also smart is just the best targeting option for it tackzone has a kill point right above the centre so it's better to place it right under the path rather than over it and on spots where the track overlaps to maximise dps Tack shooters have a deceptively small hitbox so you can fit up to 4 of them in small squares (like resort and winter park) rather than 1
