It’s so dumb but whenever the Pipboy comes up I just imagine the Deathclaw pulling an intact human arm from between his teeth. Like a functional toothpick.
Seeing as the deathclaw's mouth doesn't seem to move when the character speaks, I like to imagine that this isn't just an intelligent one, but a *telepathic* deathclaw lol
Actually in the previous games were there were sentient deathclaws, they used implants on occasion to speak so honestly not being able to speak English natively isn't much of a problem when we know that there are neural implants that allow you to speak without opening your mouth in this universe
Imagine being a raider, knowing what the previous minutemen were like, and so when you hear the minutemen are back and you might be a target for them you think it's no big deal. Then a deathclaw walks up.
Imagine being the Sole Survivor, retreating into the hardware store across the street from the museum of freedom in Concord, firing at the deathclaw who wouldn't normally be able to enter the building, only to watch him "spin to win" through the door.
Deathclaw intelligence can be surprisingly high and you even get a talking deathclaw companion in one of the older games so as far as I'm concerned this playthrough is lorefriendly
Afaik the talking Deathclaws weren’t completely natural? (Then again Deathclaws in general were apparently meant to be supersoldiers or something before the war)
@@FlamingNinja they weren’t, but there’s at least one canon survivor of that set, and they were fully capable of breeding sooo chances are a new population of them could happen
@@SomethingAboutARobot 100% not how genetics work, a single survivor would never be able to resurrect a single unique trait like that across a large population
The idea of a sentient deathclaw with the most winning personality this side of the Mississippi going about helping people in the Commonwealth and destroying the Institute is the most Fallout thing I have ever seen. Great challenge, probably my favourite due to how ridiculous it is, keep it up!
The best part is a Deathclaw being capable of human speech isn't non-canon in the Fallout series. There was a species of Albino Deathclaws in the earlier top-down asymmetric games that could mimic human speech and were fairly intelligent creatures. You don't fight them, to the extent of my knowledge, but the Enclave does end up killing off nearly the entire species.
David the were-deathclaw. Considering the supernatural canonically exists in Fallout, and the existence of intelligent deathclaws, this could be 100% lore accurate.
@Noelle Holiday a Were-deathclaw sounds absolutely horrifying... imagine a raider leader who leads a group of like 6 of them, and she's a Deathclaw Matriarch... lord have mercy
@@noelleholiday61 Psykers are prominently featured in older games, and Mama Murphy is a psyker herself. Fallout has straight up magic, even if it isn't like fantasy-magic.
@@noelleholiday61we’re not actually sure it’s supernatural. Physics and science works as understood by Hollywood movies in the 50s. Cthulu and stuff might just be normal
I feel like a deathclaw with there strength a small passageway like in ark jet they would just break the walls so It can get through surf I was doing that run. I probably would use that explanation. Fake seriously you have a mountain of crocodile/alligator Beckin through power meant to be used in combat situation he can’t rip down a tiny piece of concrete.
I so wish this mod had a "crawl-through" move of some sort, with the deathclaw curling up somewhat and grabbing the sides of the narrow passage and snaking its way through it
Just a crawl through function for the deathclaws in the base game would be a great idea. Actually being able to pursue you in buildings sounds horrifying.
@@randomfactsthatdontmatter3466 The deathclaw section in The Frontier was, aside from the vehicles, the only redeeming feature of that turd. iirc it's a stealth section and the deathclaw can open doors like the raptors from Jurassic Park
The part where the deathclaw model got into the into the power armour and then proceeding to crash the game was far from what I expected, i expected the model to go into a T-pose for some reason
whats funnier is that right in the description of the mod it says "do not enter power armor with this mod or it'll crash your game". reading is fun and educational.
@@TidalFang I love how the Deathclaw TRIED to get in. Like, it didn't fail to, like with the cannibal perk or just hit a wall like going through the door-frame. It flat out shoved its way inside. I'm guessing that's because your not actually a Deathclaw but a person wearing a Deathclaw costume unless certain calls come up for the game to return except for the power armor frame for some reason.
Does anyone else think it’d be awesome as hell if there was a mod that let you build a working giddyup buttercup??? Maybe one that moves around like an NPC, a different one that you could remote control like a toy car, and then one that you could have as a companion??? I seriously think it would be one of the coolest mods I’ve ever seen or thought of 😂🤷🏻♂️😅😎😩🙏🏻✌🏻💪🏻🤙🏻
@@Bug_Bait Now now, who says a death claw HAS to sound like that? I mean sure, they look like dragons, but maybe they just sound like they got a bad case of smoker's lung?
16:30 Sole deathclaw: I’m here to kill you and take what’s in your head. Z2: That you cannot have. Sole deathclaw: _Casually sends Z2 to the shadow realm with a flick of his wrist._
It's like that one Zap Brannigan quote: "Some of you will be pressed through a fine mesh screen for your planet, they will be the luckiest of them all."
Even better if you manage to get the encounter with Gene and get another dog, build up the pack. Even better better would be to have a side objective to play through nukaworld supporting the Pack.
Watching this makes me seriously wish for just an entire game built around this premise of being this massive killing machine creature casually going around the world of humans.
This is incredibly entertaining as always, love it On another note, holy hell, beating Fallout 4 as a Radroach would be an absolute nightmare and I would love to see it
So I have a few mods installed with one being the all legendary enemies and a few other non enemy affecting one's and let me tell you, I have seen legendary radroaches bigger than deathclaws,
Can you imagine how terrifying deathclaws would have been if various objects in the game were made to collapse like sandbags when a big enough creature walks into them. Especially the holes in the wall in the salem witch museum that are just slightly too small.
Just imagining the technicians and engineers seeing a deathclaw get teleported in and briefly saying "oh no," before getting torn to shreds. Just casually teleporting in dangerous critters would be great, maybe teleport in some super mutants for poetic justice.
Can you beat fallout. At level 1000. For this challenge, you console command yourself to level 1000 using the set player level command. and then see if you can survive with the ultra scaled up enemies this creates.
Or if you can beat the game before you level up again and the game crashes because iirc there’s a soft level cap in Fallout 4 before the game breaks because it can’t handle the exp scaling
Whenever a game would crash and loop the last sound played like at 4:00, I used to crap myself because of how loud it was, but Fallout 4 and Skyrim have crashed so much I don’t immediately notice it anymore.
I'd love to see more videos playing as other creatures. Trying to play as a Radroach would be a different game entirely, or maybe one of the Institute gorillas. "Can you beat Fallout 4 as Metal Donkey Kong?"
11:27 Yeah i can just imagine the Deathclaw contorted (like them people fitting in small boxes) while Danse is squished up against the door with the look of "WHY"
16:28 "I'm here to kill you and take what's inside your head" "That, you cannot have" *Proceeds to rip his entire head off his body* "Well that was an Ordeal"
Deacon also killed the other members of the Deathclaw gang when he left and despite their name, the gang didn't have any relations with actual Deathclaws. It was just their name.
For those who never played Fallout Tactics. The Hairy Deathclaws who are some of the most intelligent deathclaws can join as full members of the Brotherhood of Steel.
@@cameronmyron5776 Made even weirder since the mid-west Brotherhood is an off shoot of the eastern coast brotherhood. Their "Prydwen" crashed. Also they have a robot army...
@@transorm987 You mean the original one. The ones that are more tolerant are the ones who have been excommunicated from the original chapter’s ideals and/or bullied into almost non-existence (like in Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and in Fallout Tactics). The brotherhood is pretty likable in these games due to their tolerance of outsiders and not being as zealous over the control of technology, but the chapter in Fallout 4, which does follow the original ideals of the brotherhood (besides letting the protagonist join them as an outsider), would never allow any of this (the main reason I can’t stand the BoS in FO4).
I'm surprised riding in an elevator as a Deathclaw didn't break the game. Because in my experience in the vanilla game elevators tend to either infinitely load or crash the game if you simply look at them wrong.
i almost DIED laughing when i saw that scene where you take on the courser for the first time. Deathclaw: "I came for what's in your head." Courser: "That you cannot have." then you just literally pick him up like he's a freakin action figure and slash at himbefore just "Meh" side toss him off the freakin catwalk where he plummets to his death. I rewatched that scene like 50 times.
"a deathclaw and his brotherhood of steel pet" I mean, if I came across a giant sentient lizard with claws half my size, I'd be pretty accepting of anything and everything they wanted of me, probably... So yeah, that sounds right.
@@andyfriederichsen 1. Because of Nep. 2. Because i would like to fuck a deathclaw and make her a matron. They are strong and sexy creatures. Like Xenomorphs, you kinda see a death creature like that and can't resist wanting to fuck it.
this really made me think "damn, why have we not gotten a fallout game where you can transform into different creatures cause that sounds cool as hell and the most fallout thing in the known universe"
@@commscan314 imagine this, its the start of fallout 4, your playing as nate, nora was outside. suddenly the bomb sirens go off, nora gets to the vault first, being closer, but nate doesn't make it in time. he gets hit by a way larger dose of radiation than everyone else, as he barely jumps into the lowering vault, luckily not injuring himself (nate and nora swap roles depending on who the character chose) things continue as normal, up until the power armor section, or should i say the normal section, there is no starter power armor this time, nate fights through the raiders, until the deathclaw crawls to the surface. before it reaches the surface however, you hear audible gasps from nate and stutters, before time starts to slow and nate holds his head. a screen pops up saying that the terrifying deathclaw scared nate into awakening this power, acquired from the large dose he experienced from the bomb you are given 4 choices, a bug route that allows you to play and unlock a selection of large bugs, cheap in "faction points" (new point system i will explain) although not too strong, a mutant faction that allows you to play and unlock super mutant and ghoul powers, still not too strong but still pretty cheap, a mammals section that allows you to play and unlock different wild animals and yaogui and such, decent in strength but more expensive, and a giant section that allows you to play and unlock deathclaws and gaterclaws and mirelurk queens and the such, very powerful but extremely expensive faction points will be points gained by killing and drinking the blood of the species you decided to become, the rarer and stronger the creature, the more points you will gain by drinking its blood well uhh... tell me what you think cause all of that was off the top of my head
This could technically be lore-friendly, given the history of the intelligent deathclaws (although it’s not probable that there any of them left, not to mention they were on the west coast)
Plus, I wouldn't trust the Fallout Bible on if there's none of them left. Chris Avilone just hates Intelligent Deathclaw's cause he thinks their less scary, but IMO they don't ruin the deathclaws at all. They make the more interesting, and it's canon that the intelligence gene is passed on by the males. The two surviving intelligent deathclaws could breed with regular females and make an entire race by the type of Fallout 4.
Is no one going to talk about how the deathclaw folds up when entering power armor? That was probably the funniest thing I’ve seen today, and I wish you could walk around the game world like that! 😂
My idea: since some doors are too small, you can use the console to shrink yourself to close to power armor sized, but you have to reduce your health by 20%
Mitten Squad made a video where he became a random creature every few minutes in Skyrim. I highly recommend it, and his other videos. If you like Nerbit then you'll probably like Mitten Squad. A link to the video I mentioned: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y35lHSulN1M.html
When I first saw this I was like “oh he’s probably gonna download some mods to get deathclaw armor and a death claw gauntlet” but when I watched the first few seconds of it I was like “what in the nuclear wasteland is this” but still good challenge and keep ip the weird and wacky challenges bro
- All SPECIAL stats at 10, - Kill ONLY, no diplomatic talking bullcrap, maybe some, but whatever - Destroy the brotherhood, - Always in power armour. Horrigan's power armor is built to be an armor and a life support, as he can't live without it. - Only able to attack in V.A.T.S. , just like how the old fallout games work(optional)
The vertiberd bouncing off your head near the end was just a cherry on top, it was like a cartoon. You just shook it off with almost no damage taken. Another great run, and as others have mentioned, sorta lore friendly!
Being able to morph into Fallout creatures like a werewolf should definitely be a future Fallout in game mechanic. I didn't know how fun it seemed until this video X'D.
Can you beat Fallout 4 as Paul Revere? - Wear a tricorn hat and Hancocks outfit or the minuteman general outfit from the castle - use only a Revolutionary sword as a weapon - side with the Minutemen
I dont know about wearing hancocks outfit... as it IS technically a red coat's outfit (unless you play as the british side? for another challenge (which you can do in fallout 3 too- ) play as benedict arnold and rid of democracy and give it back to the england empire long live king gorge
@@theLOSTranger234 Fallout 4 is modded? i dont get what you mean, if you're asking about other games well let me assure you that every game can be modded. however not every game supports such a thing, especially games that go online, but if it's offline then it can be modded.
Technically, this could be considered a canon compliant playthrough. Fallout 2 introduced sentient talking Deathclaws to the fallout universe, so... yeah!
@@DanteTorn There’s actually a bugged good ending in Fallout 2 where they aren’t fully wiped out, and even ignoring that, Goris still survives the slaughter and there’s an entirely other branch of intelligent Deathclaws alive and well in Fallout Tactics that are allied with the Midwest BoS. So they still exist in the lore.
If I'm not mistaken there is (maybe only was now) a mod that actually changes the height of your character when you crouch which I think might have been enough to make this run viable. The turnstiles might still be a killer depending on what your new height is though. Very interesting run!
To be fair even regular deathclaws are capable of advanced thoughts such as sadism. In Fallout 76 shooting a deathclaw with the mind reading gun (not what it's called but basically what it does) can cause you to hear the thought "not even hungry, just want to kill" So as far as I'm concerned this is canon!
For lore you could always say you are an Enclave Deathclaw, like in Fallout 2 Thank you for this video. It made for a good laugh. Keep up the good work.
The charisma is so high because that is as intended. Think about it, a Deathclaw gets into your face, exhales into your face and demands "You will give me your money." I sure as hell wouldn't say no.
God, I want more sentient Deathclaws in Fallout... The friendly, intelligent Deathclaws in 2 were such epic chad gamers, and this is just... perfect lol
@@DanteTorn I've been recommending this for the past couple months but I've never managed to comment in the first 30-60 minutes the vids been out, so he hasn't seen my comment until now
Here's a potentially bad idea, "Can You Beat Fallout 4 with Aeternus?" it's not a bad weapon in my opinion, but the challenge would probably be obtaining the weapon itself, since its a pretty late game item.
To even get it you need to kill Colter, if you skip it you are stuck due to you needing to progress is the dlc a bit so no... But it says beating fallout 4 not Nuka world so you can if you ignore the way to get it.
It probably wouldn’t be physically possible as you have to kill the gunners, kill Colter, reclaim the park (safari island also involves killing gatorclaws), and go through all the Amoral Combat radiant quests which involve killing people who come through the gauntlet before you get the brotherhood rogue who drops the gun.
@@maxinator7604 would the challenge be fun? Absolutely…but he would need to spawn it in using console commands, and I’m pretty sure he’s on console and not PC. Unless he has the game on PC, he can’t really do it.
@@sinkopeso1707 No, he wound get the weapon the way the game intends you get it, if you watch any other of his can you beat Fallout 3/New Vegas/4 with x weapon, he goes gets the weapon (unless in New Vegas the game might give it to you if your skills are high enough) the way the game intends you to get it
@@theLOSTranger234 Yes, But they can’t speak. They’re still regular Deathclaws, they just won’t attack Enclave unless you screw with the machine controlling them. They are not Intelligent Deathclaws like Goris and the others.
I think I have a good idea for a themed new Vegas run . Play as Brutus! So the idea is you can only use knife weapons and do as many legion quests before of course stabbing Cesar to death . I feel like it should have a bit of a stealth focus with the whole “ stabbed in the back” motif . It should be pretty fun since I almost never see you working with the legion . Thanks for the great videos keep up the good work
It would of been awesome if the deathclaw mod author had a separate mod for accessories so this dapper charismatic desthclaw had a top hat, regardless thanks for the hilarious run Nerbit
rewatching this video again made me think doing two of the optional quests that involved Deathclaws would have been good for the run. The one involving bringing the egg back to the deathclaw and killing the one in the witch museum
One: Florence the Deathclaw is the funniest fallout reference I've heard. Two: the fact the Deathclaw sounded like the sole survivor was funnier than hell
I'd love to see: Can you beat Fallout New Vegas with only "Pew pew", the laser pistol you get at the end of Legend of the Star. Like a pacifist run until you can get 50 star caps from locations or drinking sarsaparilla, then turn your laser-gunslinger crit build on the unsuspecting people of the Mohave
Man, your videos actually make fallout 4 look like a fun game. But whenever i start playing I always log off shortly wondering why i thought this time would be different.
Of all the factions in Fallout, the BoS seem like they'd be the most accepting to have Deathclaws in their ranks seeing as how the Deathclaws are not mutated creatures, but rather pre-war man-made weapons engineered by the military for the purpose of war. It's kinda in line with their MO
16:32 Puny god. Also This is amazing. I'll definitely try this one out, frickin glorious, The legendary deathclaws should be good fun. Thanks for the spin to win tip. Counter challenge can you beat skyrim with only totem of the ice brothers increase the limit however much you like. You'll probably only be able to do it at level 1 and the companions quest doesn't count as skyrim. Seeing you beat it at level one would be cool but skipping to get to the challenge would probably be the go to, idk do it if you want
So, my question is why didn't you use one of the Small Deathclaw versions? It would still be a Deathclaw, but it would be small. You'd maybe fit through more gaps and not need to transform back to a human. Ergo, you could have completed the run.
This play through is lore friendly and I love it. Considering there was a death claw hero and they were originally extremely intelligent and well spoken.
Heres a suggestion, can you beat Fallout New Vegas as _the_ _Master_ _Chief_ Requirements are: Stealth suit MK2 for immersive cortana and kinda immersive armor Any power armor helmet or maybe MK2 combat helmet with rebreather Marksman carbine for Battle rifle Missile launcher obviously Some form of magnum or strong pistol Bozar Anti Material rifle Plasma Defender Plasma Grenades Frag Grenades And lastly the energy shield mod but once the shield is down, you only have 1 HP! Well, i hope thats Immersive enough, good luck Also special should be: Strength 7+ Endurance 6 Perception 6 Charisma 3 Intelligence 5 Agility 6+ Luck 5+ Edit: also you can only carry 2 weapons at the same time and must hotkey them, any other listed weapons you find and wish to use then drop a weapon that is currently equipped, this does not count grenades tho Another edit: you can console command all this in if you want
It is beyond badass how Kellogg an Company try to talk to you, trying to stop your attack just for you to go, "Rah" and rush him, tossing him out of the way. I can't even begin to comprehend how cool that is.
