I was shoving every flower I had into Lysithea and I think i got her to "only" about 70 without amiibos. Which is still insane, but her cap is way higher
As a Lysithea enjoyer who occasionally plays NG+, one of my favorite things about using her with NG+ is getting her to level 10, then giving her Armor Knight cert to just raise her to 30 hp, 9 str, and, most importantly, 12 def. It's just such a juicy bonus so early on. Also, as a meme run enjoyer, your comment on Jeralt and Solon's fight reminds me of my "Unarmed only" run where I used no magic or weapons. In the prologue, Jeralt can kill all the enemies, except for the boss, who he leaves at 1... meaning the minimum number of weapon uses in Three Houses is... 1.
Yeah I love grinding people up in completely unrelated skills to exploit class bases. You gotta keep going though, get her Armor and Axes up to B by level 20 so she can Fortress Knight for Def 17 (10% growths mean that even if you used Armor Knight earlier she's probably only at 13 by then). Also if you force her to train with Axes a little longer than that, she can go Warrior for Str 19 instead of the like, 10 or 11 she would have from her time as an armor knight or the... seven she would have naturally at level 20? meanwhile, training your physical units in Faith lets them become Bishops for a massive Res boost. Unfortunately there isn't a good lvl 20 class for speed or dex, but at level 10 basically anybody can qualify as a Thief and at least get up to 11s in both,...
@@sindrisuncatcher653 I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic, so I’ll mention that I mentioned NG+ because it’s definitely not worthwhile to go for in a normal maddening run imo, but in NG+, you can just buy skill ranks. No grinding is necessary there, you can just buy her S+ rank in faith, reason, and authority if you want and then train her in axe/armor passively, or if you’ve done that training before, you can just buy those skill ranks instead.
Not sarcasm, but to buy a rank in NG+ you do need to achieve it in gameplay at some point, right? Which means forcing her to swing axes around despite her bane with them, either in the classroom or in the infinite free bandit fights on easy mode, in order to be able to buy her Str 19 and Def 17 later. Which is genuinely an excellent investment, because otherwise she goes down in one hit to most physical combatants and can't deal any damage with her sword when she isn't using combat arts.
6:45 Fun Fact: There is a magic lance in 3H: the Arrow of Indra... only obtainable at the end of Hubert's paralogue (if you meet the conditions), and a chest in the VW endgame. So yeah... it basically doesn't exist, but it also does exist (this reminded me of Shoenberg's cat lol).
Fates Nerd here: Fates did have a flying mage class in its base game, called the malig knight, it was an evolution of the wyvern rider class that used axes and magic
and while it's not really in game in a natural way, buying one or all the other routes gives you access to special seals to turn at most two units into dark flyers, which wield lances and tomes
Quick funfact! The 'spiky dress' on the war cleric outfit is based on a Crinoline. They were popular in the 19th century among higher-class women to achieve the silohuette that was considered fashionable at the time, and you can also see them in Lissa's awakening design (over her skirt) as well as the generic Awakening cleric and war cleric models (under the skirt in the case of the cleric, where as the war cleric wears it more like Lissa). Granted, the War Cleric design of three houses is only a half crinoline (which weren't really things as far as my middling knowledge of 19th century fashion goes), but it's still a pretty clever design choice!
Cheers for the best girl🎉 Also I didn't expect our best glass cannon actually can solo maddening. Now I can't wait for part 2, chap13 would be brutal for a solo run
7:00 That just reintroduced my PTSD. I lost my overleveled glass cannon that is Felix, because the Death Knight decided to be an ass and crit my strongest character. BTW, NG+ Dancer Lysithea is cracked. Being able to both nuke enemies, *and* provide good support, is based as hell.
Just so you know it is impossible for Catherine to target Lonato Edit: Her guards can though if you somehow mess up their AI. Which happened to me one time.
Catherine can target Lonato. She's done it for me. Seems to involve the game deciding you don't have enough oomph to take him down, bc I was running a magic only challenge and she was just like "hi I'm here to chunk out his HP and deprive you of boss exp"
The use of Hit+20 instead of Reason Prowess Lvl 5 in the early game when you both needed to get some key dodges and to avoid some crits is deeply frustrating to me, it provides the same accuracy boost while also giving 10 Avoid and CEv so during early chapters where you aren't using Swords it's just better Super cool run though
"As you can see" Actually, I cannot see *anything* happening in that background footage, when it's being played at like a billion times speed. Suggestion for future videos: Utilize jump cuts that highlight key moments instead of just speeding up the entire map footage. You can still speed it up, but not to the same extent you did here.
@@haveagoodday7021 And kill the voice over in the process? I'm offering genuine advice here for the creator so they can improve their videos in the future. Slowing down the video isn't a real solution here.
"Claude is stupid or the writers are stupid." I'm sure there's a disconnect between the different teams on these big games, like in KOTOR when the ship crash lands on the beach and Mission jokes that Carth must be drunk or hungover, but in the cutscene it's the most peaceful, gentle landing in the game.
There’s really no point in training Claude in a “lysidea only run” even for hunting by daybreak. The base stats of the wyvern class he has is good enough for the purposes of the map and you can pull the funny I have absurdly high stats for a level one unit because all my stats are the base stats of a mid game class. Low key it’s a fun thing to just not use your lord half the game and then have them get comparable stats to your party at level 1 so you can turbo level them because of how much exp killing enemies that much higher level is worth and get an absurdly strong unit
The reason why I decided to write this is because it's 4 am and I'm tired and it's funny. And yes, I did spend too much time making this. Also, it's not funny because I'm tired, although it certainly is funnier because I'm tired. They really do use the word clout when referring to acheron. Recently a friend was playing through the game for the first time, and saw the thing about acheron wanting clout and said that he'd show up in a Supreme shirt. This resulted in me making a picture of acheron wearing that "by any means necessary" hoody that goku was wearing. The joke has expanded to the point where he owns a store called Acheron Drip in Shibuya outside of wunmechafriendfo where he sells air in a can. I feel like it'd be funny to explain the "wunmechafriendfo" The joke is in reference to Neo the world ends with you where 109 is replaced with 104, and a character calls 104 "Wunafo". The mechafriend part has to do with a robot from the xenoblade chronicles 3 where said robot gets smashed in a cutscene, in which a certain song plays. The song plays at 3 different times in the game, where 2 times are very emotional, and also very big spoilers, and the other time is when mechafriend gets destroyed. (Think God shattering star playing on the map where acheron first appears.) Long story short, mechafriend is likely the biggest joke between me and my 2 other friends where we often make jokes like "Mechafriend fucking dies" and that mechafriend is the final boss of every game, Anyways, the wunmechafriendfo is 104, but the 0 is replaced with mechafriend's face. Acheron drip hasn't really become that big of a joke compared to the other 2 that we have, but it may very well reach that point. Mechafriend is easily the biggest, and the second is Richter Belmont where we constantly use the phrase "Red pikmin fear him." For anyone who doesn't know, and for some reason cares, the only difference between Richter and Simon in smash bros is that Richter's holy water spawns aura, while Simon's spawns fire. The difference this makes is that Richter can hit red pikmin with his holy water's aura, while the red pikmin are immune to Simon's fire. This is how the joke started, but the joke is so much more than that now. Now Richter is easily the best character in smash ultimate because "Red Pikmin fear him", and that the only issue he has is that the skill ceiling for playing him is insanely high, which is why no one uses him. In turn Simon is easily the worst character in the game because "Red Pikmin dominate him." The other thing that's notable is that his outfit is usually blue, but his alt 2 in ultimate is him wearing red. We only ever use alt 2 because his outfit has been dyed red by the blood of all the red pikmin he's killed. Best part about the joke is that I've actually picked him up as a character I might main. I'm still at the part of learning him, but I like what he does a bit more than my current main of mii gunner. Or rather, I tried doing something similar with mii gunner, but Richter is better at doing that same thing. Said thing is ledge trapping if it wasn't obvious.
Green units can't kill bosses in this game, so Catherine can't solo the map no matter what. She brings him to 1HP, and will just start doing zero damage after that... And even if i haven't tested it, i think it's possible for her to break Thunderbrand on him if you keep her alive long enough! I don't know if Thunderbrand actually loses durability when she uses it in that fight, as it's completely irrelevant for nearly every sort of playthrough you can do, based on the 30 charges it has, and how strong Catherine is...
Sweet video! Also, there is a magic lance, but extremely irritatingly, it's the Arrow Of Indra, the reward for saving at least half the Agarthans in Hubert's Paralogue, meaning you only get one AND it's Crimson Flower only.
Chapter 3 Catherine will not attack Lonato, she will stand out of attack range, wich makes no sens since she say : "You want to kill me ? Fine, I'll send you meet your godess"
Really neat watch, but I gotta beg you; please cut some footage, rather than speed it up so much. I actually had to look away a bit, because it was so disorienting to look at. I'd also love to see if Dedue could do anything meaningful; or anyone without a Crest, really.
Dedue is absent in part 2 for too many chapters; he can't solo the game. Crest less characters are better than some characters with crests. Petra and Leonie are some of the best units in the game. Even Shamir puts in work in her default class as a sniper.
It's funny, because IIRC, not leveling Claude pre-time skip makes him much stronger because of the class boost thing. I believe it's that the game boosts his stats, and then applies the level ups for stats, so it makes his stats a lot higher.
He gets the level ups as if he was leveling up in his post timeskip promoted personal class which has way higher growths than any class he could be before, however IIRC he wont get a ton of levels on maddening. The speedrun uses it on the lowest difficulty level, and instantly get him up, however maddening gives him way less of a boost
Is Claude stupid? Well in AM he decided it was a good idea to get in the way and attack the Blue Lions soo yikes. Bro had the audacity to assume we’re attacking him when he really flew his @ss over to us and brought reinforcements.
To be fair, in AM Fleche is implied to had killed some random Leicester messengers so, I would blame more in the writing of that route rather than Claude decision.
To be fair, ironically enough, the only times the Battle of Gronder actually makes some sense post-timeskip are in Silver Snow and Crimson Flower, with it being all off-screen in the former and not happening at all in the latter lol. It was a very cool and impactful moment, but the only one whose behavior made sense in this was Edelgard (and the Lions when you realize how stupid they appear to be in the game when you pay more attention to the plot I guess, but I don't think they were meant to be idiots (especially obvious with their supports) so that's just a case of them not really making sense for 99% of the story lmao) The best three-way battle between houses is in Three Hopes actually, the battle at Aillel in Scarlet Blaze was somehow even more badass AND actually made sense in the story for all of the characters involved + it involved the Church on top of it. Aillel > Gronder.
@@CuteHimbo you know what, I agree. That cutscene at the beginning of Gronder actually would fit more in Silver Snow since Byleth wasn't present. And with the position of the Monastery, it would be geographically impossible to reuse that chapter in Crimson Flower.
As someone who has done multiple 3H solos. Lysithea only is unironically the hardest solo in the game so doing it NG+ is ideal as it's one of the only solos that is potentially impossible on NG due to her awful base Str making Ch1 a potential softlock
Is Lysithea considered a good character? I just recently started playing this game for the first time (on hard mode) and I chose the house with Edelgard, first thing I did was start bringing Lysithea along on missions and giving her gifts/inviting her to tea parties simply based on the fact that I thought her character looked cool and I had no idea which students were worth recruiting. I got her to join my team rather quickly just by raising her support level, but I typically just keep her in the back as an extra healer because I'm afraid for her to get hit lol. I'm assuming you can turn her into a powerhouse with offensive magic if you play the skills/classes right.
Lysithea is THE unmatched strongest magic user in the game. Highest mag growth, high spd growth, decent Dex, starts really early in the game if you’re Golden Deer, access to important dark magic like Dark Spikes T (Murders the Death Knight), and synergy with sword classes. The only thing you need to watch out for is her poor defenses. However, if you manage to get an armor knight certification for her, she’ll have enough bulk to not die. Also, having poor defenses also has a neat side effect of allowing her to activate vantage easily, because you just need to get her to low hp. That said, if her squishiness is a dealbreaker, then she can easily do with white magic, too, because she has one of the most powerful utility spells in the game: Warp.
These are really entertaining! Most solo runs are kinda tryhard but you take it very lightly and its a fun time. I would suggest maybe making the videos a little bit longer? I feel bad because you put so much time into these videos only for it all to be sped up with minimal time to appreciate everything.
Actually Charlotte is my favorite woman in the series, but she joins at like chapter 11 so a "solo" would be pretty unviable. Other solo runs I've done like Matthis and Lex join on early enough where I can still deem it a solo
@@5Points If you allow yourself the use of an Einherjar, a Charlotte solo is actually possible, she'll just get reset when she's actually recruited. That's what I did when I made a Camilla solo of Revelation ; I grabbed a base level Camilla from another castle, and used her as a Kinshi Knight and later a Sorcerer to hopefully get skills to pass down to the real Camilla when she joined (managed to pass down Air Superiority, however I failed to get her Bowbreaker in time so the real Camilla had to go Sorcerer for a bit too).
how do you record on a switch, i unironically decided to do a challenge run in madden 3 houses where i obtain every single class mastery, cap every skill rank and unlock all possible supports in a fresh new game file on madden using lysthea ( not a solo run but shes gonna have to do alot of mlee combat and more alone )
Honestly I've never recruited Cyril since maddening makes me want to cease existence even while using good units, but their support does make me smile.
@@5Points Cyril's super unfortunate as a unit because even with aptitude, his base growths are so low that aptitude simply puts him on par with *Lorenz*, defeating his entire point as a growth unit At the very least he gets Point blank and hunters volley and has a really easy route to wyvern rider. I use him every run I can since I really like him
@@Wizzkidwas he’s actually more comparable to Leonie, who’s a high tier unit iirc. trading 10% Defense growth for 15% HP and Res, and 5% Dex. They also both have PBV. The problem is he has much lower bases. He’s still a pretty decent unit imo.
6:11 I think even if Catherine got to Lonato, she wouldn't be able to kill him since they coded it so that ally units leave bosses on 1 hp so they don't steal a HUGE amount of exp.
Nah, Catherine doesn't attack Lonato. Her two soldiers will attack him, but Catherine will stop her rampage once she gets near Lonato. Don't know why, she just doesn't.
I remember in fire emblem killing lysthea with blue when Claude in japanese voice screamed: Lysthea!!! I felt very sorry but i had to it. A heart touching moment. FE Three Houses made the characters really good.
Thank you for proving to the world that Lysithea is not only the best gurl but THE STRONGEST, My NG+ Lysithea was a swordmaster. Truly, she ditched the way if the books and took up the sword.
Whenever I play new game plus by chapter 5 I make sure I at least have one unit with authority high enough to use Claudes battalion because you can just kind of Nuke a whole bunch so they can't move in their low health then just start slowly dismantling them with everyone else
oh hey i actually did a sylvain solo run on maddening (CF because its my favorite route) and aside from the first mock battle he was the only unit to do ANYTHING (no dancers). i also maxed all his weapon ranks, mastered every class, maxed level, and capped every single stat! No new game+ btw :) i dont think i saved before the final battle unfortunately though i forgot :(. wish i had a recording set up for it, it was very fun and i wish i could’ve shared it
Hey, just wanted to say that i thought the video was great. I do have one thing to say though, which is that the spead up battle videos was actually a little nauseating
Some kind of chamber that if i recall requires a Fe amiibo and it being ng+ to be available. Talking to Sothis here unlocks a Byleth exclusive skill that’s essentially that one item that gives 7 resistance but wears off slowly but it’s applied to Everyone (in short makes every unit you have very tanky to magic for a bit) To reach it scan an Amiibo in ng+ and it just says you can go there from the amiibo place
It’d be fun to see someone do a Constance solo run like this as well. Her magic stat actually grows reasonably faster than Lysithea’s since Coco’s growths are even more min/maxed, and she gets magic way more often, bc I believe all the student characters are required to raise at least 2 stats per level. Her true magic growth ends up being like 78% rather than the 60% in the files that we know of from Coco and Lys. She too gets soulblade and ALSO hexblade and mystic blow for magic combat arts for when her magic runs out
